I downloaded a movie that's around 2 hours long in .flv format. I need to get it into whatever file would work in itunes which is I think .mp4. Is there a free converter that will do the trick for me?

Recently, I have been trying to convert a movie I took to an iPod playable format. It is already .mp4, but iTunes will not add it to my library. When I try to convert it in Handbrake, the audio is just a constant drone, but video is fine. It will open in Quicktime, but I get an error when I try to convert the file through Quicktime.

I get these clips from a game called "runescape". Here is a video of something that I am trying to do, keep in mind I want it much better though. my screen capture software is IShowU, it saves the files as a .mov, I have heard that you need .avi or .mp4 to edit videos. I have a program called "Xilisoft Video Converter".
1. Add videos to the list
2. I select "AVI - Audio-Video Interleaved as the profile (output)
3. I select a custom quality of 9999
Every movie converter I use lowers the quality of my video which is really, the method I use in the program I said above this is as close as I can get to the original video.
I am looking for an application that converts comic book files (cbr) to a image files. I have done a bit of searching and turned up with nothing useful.

My problem comes when trying to burn a certain video file formats to a DVD, one especially that will playback on a standard DVD player. The types of files I am interested in converting to DVD-playable are: .m2ts, .avi, .mp4, .mpeg, .mkv. Again, I would like to convert these movies, then burn them to a DVD to easily watch them on my home theater system's DVD player. View 11 Replies View RelatedI am making the transition back to Mac pretty good except for a couple of programs that worked pretty good. Basically I have my DVD's stored in .MKV files for my Popcorn hour streamer. On my windows pc I use a DVD ripping program to save just the main movie in .ISO format. Then I would use another app that would save the .ISO as a .MKV. I'm having trouble finding a program that does what MakeMKV does. It basically puts a movie in a .MKV container without any compression plus chapters.
It takes basically 5 minutes for this program to do it. I have converted 160 of my DVD's this way so far and love it. I don't care to compress any of my movies since HD's are so cheap these days. This is the program I'm referring to. [URL]. From the start with ripping a movie and ending up with an .MKV the process is about 30 min with this program. Is they're a program that does what makemkv does? Am I better off trying to run Windows in virtualization with these apps?
A friend of mine sent me an attachment in pages format and I am having problems opening onto my PC is either notepad or microsoft word.

I've noticed that if I download a 1080p trailer from apple.com/trailers in .mov format it works flawlessly, perfect image and audio. Is there a (quick) way to convert a .mkv to .mov and have it play perfectly with no hitch, on the 360. If trailers off apple.com can play there must be a workaround. I have tried using MPEG Streamclip on my Windows machine to convert it to an .mp4 file, but that just gave me an audio file with no video. I then tried using Handbreak on my Windows 7 machine to do the same thing, but the resulting file was not even recognized by Final Cut Pro X.

I do a lot of machine embroidery. In moving from a PC to Mac, I've learned that none of my current embroidery software is compatible with Apple OS. I'm happy to maintain those programs on a Windows laptop, but would really like to be able to view my designs on the Mac Mini. The files are *.pes. Is there any way to convert them to a Mac compatible format?
