Basically with both safari and google chrome when ever im on the web and I click download on something instead of it automatically downloading it just loads a blank page. I think there might be a setting turned off stopping files from being downloaded from the internet but I have no clue.

Using transmission and an old airport extreme. All of a sudden I can't download any torrents at all. I didn't change any settings or anything. I have tried changing the port mapping to different various ports and none of those made it work. My original port which worked was 31337 I have tried 4040, 6984, and 6999; none of those new ports made any difference.

I asked some Chinese people at the local Apple Shop, but their English is like my Chinese, good for general conversation but not for computer language. All I got out of them is that I can't download them.
The files in Finder show on the card as PRC001>MOV00A.MOD, MOV00A.MOI. The file name changes the last digit with each scene, but all have the MOD and MOI ending. Now I have no idea what that means. way of getting those movies into iMovie?

why wont the mac app store show me the download progress bar anymore? im using Version 1.1.2 (92.8) which seems to be the newest. i today bought a game on the app store which is 15gb. and in the mac app store under "purchased" it wont give me a download progress bar. even in the help file of the app it is said to be there next to the app just bought in the list. however. lauchnpad does give me a progress bar. which is just rather sloppy because it indicates nothing on speed or time remaining. how come mac app store removed the status bar?

After clicking on 'get mail' the download bar shows activity but no mail is downloaded to the inbox. Checked to see if for some reason mail is being downloaded to another box but not so.I know that mail is being sent because I can receive it on my iphone under same email address.Email was working ok until yesterday when this started happening. I may have found a solution for all the people out there who upgraded their hd's to a 7200rpm and have the clicking noise. Apple released a firmware update for the 7200rpm drives that shipped with the uMBP. You can get the file from here.I don't know if this will fix only the hd's shipped with the MBP or any 7200rpm drive but its worth a try.PS: Also i ask that anyone who tries this please report back on your results.

I am trying to download MAC OSX 10.5 that I just purchased and my hard drive on the computer won't show up as a destination drive to download the software on. I erased the disk figuring that would help but it did not.

Ive recently downloaded a trail for the download accelerator DAP (Download Accelerator Plus) to speed up the download of a world of warcraft patch. Unfortunately, I had to delete this program when I realized that this was causing my computer to overheat due to pushing my computer's abilities through the roof. My computer has not been damaged in anyway, and i have "deleted" the program but when i still continue to try to download something it says that "DAP Plugin cannot find Download accelerator plus"; even thuogh i just deleted everything. so then i try to delete the plugin, but my mac says that "this item cannot be deleted when it is in use" but it really is not.
Can any of you help me to try to delete this plugin so i can start downloading again. After several attempts and techniques I STILL am not able to download anythinh

Says the software may have been tampered with or corrupted during download. I am NOT some computer hack, just a regular guy who bought a simple product to download and it doesn't work. Total BS and waste of my time. I'm not interested in saving my download to an ext HD, or partitioning my HD, or some other funky work-around. I want to know why this software will not load straight away as advertised? I have S/L, v 10.6.8 and the required RAM and disc space.

I have a problem accessing internet from my Mac mini after a move. I recently moved and started to use a router provided by my ISP (Thomson TG789vn). Now my Mac mini gets an local IP address but can't get on the Internet. I have turned off wireless and use cable. As a twist I have wired windows vista machines and wired a linux based NAS (QNap) that all get on internet. Also all wireless devices (Windows Vista, MacBook Air, iPhones, iPads etc) work as expected. It must be some routing setting on the Mini but it looks like it uses the correct gateway and DNSes (I also tried google DNS without success).

Every time i try to burn a cd/dvd on my mbp no matter which burn application i choose.. the superdrive likes to rejeckt the medium since the 10.5.2 update and it says there was an intern error.
Is there a way to check what's wrong with my superdrive, what can i do?
I've been using Acquisition for over a year now, great app, love it very much. The other day it stopped connecting. I dismissed it at the time and tried a few hours later to get the same problem. I followed the steps on the sites FAQ to no avail. This got me to thinking that maybe my ISP or router had to do with the problem. I also have the Torrent app by the same person and it connects fine, so it doesn't seem like my router / isp is causing any problems. [URL]

I currently have spaces enabled and have 2 spaces... when I activate spaces to show all spaces, I used to be able to switch between them by clicking on the space that I wanted to move to... however, I can't do that now. Every time I want to switch between the spaces, I also go back to the one I was already on.
