Using transmission and an old airport extreme. All of a sudden I can't download any torrents at all. I didn't change any settings or anything. I have tried changing the port mapping to different various ports and none of those made it work. My original port which worked was 31337 I have tried 4040, 6984, and 6999; none of those new ports made any difference.

I think there might be a setting turned off stopping files from being downloaded from the internet but I have no clue.

I asked some Chinese people at the local Apple Shop, but their English is like my Chinese, good for general conversation but not for computer language. All I got out of them is that I can't download them.
The files in Finder show on the card as PRC001>MOV00A.MOD, MOV00A.MOI. The file name changes the last digit with each scene, but all have the MOD and MOI ending. Now I have no idea what that means. way of getting those movies into iMovie?

why wont the mac app store show me the download progress bar anymore? im using Version 1.1.2 (92.8) which seems to be the newest. i today bought a game on the app store which is 15gb. and in the mac app store under "purchased" it wont give me a download progress bar. even in the help file of the app it is said to be there next to the app just bought in the list. however. lauchnpad does give me a progress bar. which is just rather sloppy because it indicates nothing on speed or time remaining. how come mac app store removed the status bar?

View 11 Replies View RelatedI have a torrent going that is being saved to a FAT32 partition (so I can get to it from windows easily) and it is downloading ungodly slow on leopard. It has a few hundred seeders but I cant get download speeds over 20k/s and most of the time it is just uploading and not downloading at all. My ports are forwarded properly so that isnt the issue. When I boot into vista, however, my speeds are much better. I was seeding at 20k/s and downloading at 130+k/s. What would make it so much slower on leo?

I use Transmission for downloading torrents and it's been going really slowly lately and I can't figure out why. When I check on Transmission it says that it's using port 51413, as per the picture below. So I go into my BT Homehub set up page and set up an application sharing option for Transmission like so: I have this forwarded to the MAC address of my Airport card. Am I doing something wrong here? Right now I'm downloading something and I'm apparently using 15 of 23 peers and it's going at 3.0 KB/s....

I am trying to download MAC OSX 10.5 that I just purchased and my hard drive on the computer won't show up as a destination drive to download the software on. I erased the disk figuring that would help but it did not.

Ive recently downloaded a trail for the download accelerator DAP (Download Accelerator Plus) to speed up the download of a world of warcraft patch. Unfortunately, I had to delete this program when I realized that this was causing my computer to overheat due to pushing my computer's abilities through the roof. My computer has not been damaged in anyway, and i have "deleted" the program but when i still continue to try to download something it says that "DAP Plugin cannot find Download accelerator plus"; even thuogh i just deleted everything. so then i try to delete the plugin, but my mac says that "this item cannot be deleted when it is in use" but it really is not.
Can any of you help me to try to delete this plugin so i can start downloading again. After several attempts and techniques I STILL am not able to download anythinh

Says the software may have been tampered with or corrupted during download. I am NOT some computer hack, just a regular guy who bought a simple product to download and it doesn't work. Total BS and waste of my time. I'm not interested in saving my download to an ext HD, or partitioning my HD, or some other funky work-around. I have a problem accessing internet from my Mac mini after a move. I recently moved and started to use a router provided by my ISP (Thomson TG789vn). Now my Mac mini gets an local IP address but can't get on the Internet. I have turned off wireless and use cable. As a twist I have wired windows vista machines and wired a linux based NAS (QNap) that all get on internet. Also all wireless devices (Windows Vista, MacBook Air, iPhones, iPads etc) work as expected. It must be some routing setting on the Mini but it looks like it uses the correct gateway and DNSes (I also tried google DNS without success).
