Nov 29, 2009I'm always reading/hearing people say/telling people to right click. But Macs only have one button. And "Control click" or "Two-finger click" sounds really wanky.

OS X :: Triple-click Versus Double-click/how To Make This Change To Leopard/Safari?
Mar 13, 2009My workflow entails repetitive tasks that would be so much easier if I could set Leopard's (Safari's) default double-click functionality to select ALL text within the Google search box instead of having to use a triple-click. Does anyone know how to make this change to Leopard/Safari?

Aug 9, 2010I had to dissassemble my wireless Mighty Mouse to clean it properly, as the trackball was unable to scroll up and down. As I had cleaned the trackball, I attached the two internal cables to their respective "slots" again and assembled the mouse.
Now my right button does the same as the left button (right click = left click). I tried dissassembling the mouse again, but I cannot see what I could have done wrong. After all, there are only two cables to attach and de-attach inside it.

Feb 12, 2007I just bought a mighty mouse, happy as I was, plugged it in and started my ibook running OS X 10.3.9.I know the mighty mouse shouldn't have full functionality (as the software delivered with it is >10.4.2).The problem is that the right click doesn't work right. When I try to right click it sometimes takes the right click, sometimes takes it as a left click (which is extremely annoying in firefox or finder).
I have SteerMouse (I'm a windows/linux user too) installed but when I de�nstalled it the problem remained.
When I plugged the mighty mouse in my pc (at that time running windows) right click just worked.When using a cheap mouse (from pleomax) the right click on the ibook (with Steermouse installed) works all the time.
I find this al really confusing. Seems like it can't be the hardware because it works on windows, but it can't be the software because another mouse does work.
I noticed that when right clicking at the total right side near the "expose-button" (not a position my fingers lay naturally) right click works all the time. I don't hope this is normal?

Apr 20, 2012I'll try and click on a link and nothing, then I click bookmrks in the menu bar, it works, then i can go back and be to click on the link and it'll work.

I have two Macs, one for the road and one for home.
As I have a digital camera, I store the images (jpg and raw) on an external hard drive.
I want to be able to have another copy of those files on my MacBook, for editing on the road, and when I come home, to copy the modified and new images and files back to the external drive.
I also edit some pictures on my iMac, so the process has to be vice versa:
Do any of you know of a software that syncs only the modified files back and forth, and doesn't treat one file (or set of files) as the master and the other as copy like FileSync?

I did migration and transferred everything over to synch(at least I thought-same music, apps, etc) The record of back ups even show up on the mbp itunes. Oct 21, 2010I have two macs and strangely one mac is unable to connect to the internet via airport while the other one can via airport. What gives?What I'm observing is that when I open up Network Preferences in both macs, the Airport says its connected on the working one while it says no IP Address on the one that's not working.
However, when I change locations so that both macs have the same locations, the one that's not working says, Self-Assigned IP, yet, still no connection.One more thing, I also notice that in advanced settings under TCP/IP, both macs have two different IPv4's.

I've downloaded apps on both my MBP and iMac.
When I sync on my MBP, if I go to try to get the apps off my iMac,
I erase the apps I got from my MBP.
Thoughts?

Dec 8, 2007So my network is now exclusively Mac, yet in the sidebar in the Finder all my network Macs show up twice, but the 2nd one always has the BSOD icon. The MyBookWorld is my NAS drive that always shows up as a windows server because it has to connect via SMB. Anyone have any idea how to get my Macs to show up only once though? Nov 17, 2008I work with a guy that is very good with Windows OS and a little bit on the mac. He set up a mac mini for his mother. Last week he stated that macs are good machines but can't configure them to the extreme like you can with Windows in general. That's pretty much long story short. I know he is wrong but have no ammo to back it up with. He did say one positive thing. He says that macs are very intuitive.
