For some time now I have been unable to view videos on netflix. I'm able to log in and select a video, however, the below screen shot displays the screen that I see instead of the video playing. I have been unsuccessful at trying to figure out a way to resolve this issue on my own.

I'm able to watch videos on youtube and other webpages, just not anything on facebook. Not even ones that i have submitted myself. I've already wiped out my whole harddrive and reinstalled it, repaired any disk utilities, disk permissions, made sure i've got the newest version of adobe, and made sure that all of my software is updated. I just don't know what else it could be. I'm on Mac OS X 10.6.8, Snow Leopard. Also, whenever i click on the video to play, it just appears as a small black box.Ps: I'm using Safari and would like to continue to use it.

I can watch movies from Netflix on our Mac book. But when I plug the computer into my TVs hdmi port I get sound but no picture. I recently upgraded to Snow Leopard.Before the upgrade, whenever I plugged the mac into the hdmi port the computer's desktop would appear on the TV; now I get nothing. What am I doing wrong?

I have a new MacBook and I downloaded Veoh TV. When I downloaded Veoh TV it said I needed to download Perian to play certain videos. And I downloaded Perian Version 1.2
The problem is I don't think it's working. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. And whenever I try to watch videos on my Veoh TV it says I need to install Perian.
I just bought my mac and was previously using a PC so I am still new to the Mac and am unsure if I installed it wrong or something.

I have purchased a new entry level mac mini with 8 gigs of memory. Can the intel 3000 hd handle netflix hd? Also, I am planning on running the mini mac under windows 7 ultimate unless someone has a suggestion for equal to windows media player. About a month ago Netflix started giving me problems while watching instantly. Audio wasn't syncing with video and it would skip and freeze. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Silverlight, but that didn't work. After corresponding via email with micrsoft silverlight support and a complete uninstall and reinstall of silverlight and testing it on other websites, we determined that silverlight is not the issue. I then tried Netflix support, which was terrible and of no help at all. Now Netflix crashes all browser (Safari, Firefox, & Chrome) upon loading. Netflix streaming works fine on all other computers in the house. I have all of the most recent updates of all browsers, I've tried repairing disk permissions and I'm running OS X 10.6.8 with all current software updates. I'm not sure what else to do.

I started having trouble when I go to differant websites. Sometimes the pictures for related stories don't load and I'm left with a small blue box with a question mark in it. If I go to sites like Hulu or Utube and I select a video it doesn't load at all so I can't watch anything at all. I have no trouble watching videos I have in "Finder", they play just fine.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI thought I fixed it with a wireless-n router and it worked perfectly till now. I was loading videos on youtube in seconds with no buffering and fully loaded, and could stream even 1080hd videos on there and other sites no problem. Now the MBP is going slow again, like there's this lag when browsing, and I can't even watch youtube videos anymore unless their 240p as anything else buffers every couple of seconds.
It's not the internet, as like I've said before I have an pc in another room across the condo on the wireless network and its blazing fast browsing and watching/streaming videos. I've seen other post about this lately and really leading me to believe these $ MBP just suck on wireless networks, b/c I can be right next to my router and no changes... and my girlfriends cheap netbook can stream videos faster with no buffering then my expensive piece of aluminum.
