View 2 Replies View RelatedI've just managed to turn on the 'Correct Spelling Automatically' option in Safari (and other Apple apps) by right clicking in a text field and choosing 'Spelling and Grammar -> Correct Spelling Automatically' But one thing that I find myself doing a lot, and would like to correct is problems like typing e.g. PAtrick has a MAc -- holding that shift key just too long. Anybody know if there's auto-correction for this? I know there is in Pages and Word (under prefs) but can't seem to find it for Safari, Mail, TextEdit etc.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have edited 100's of videos using FCP, but now for some reason I am getting excessive cropping (300-400%) when stabilizing a clip. Is there a setting that I am missing? I have restarted, relaunched etc, but no change.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI see that at least one other user is having the same problem with 10.1.2. My movies of four or five clips (auditions for actors) are not carrying color correction forward upon export on all the clips. Some, yes. Some, no. For several hours over two days I have tried everything I can think of to isolate the problem and haven't come up with anything. Sometimes when I export a second time after first disabling and then re-enabling the color correction settings, the second export will be fine.
I've sent in a feedback note to Apple, but I have no reason to believe they'll respond (several times over the years I've done the same on various issues, and have never gotten a response).
Under Language & Text there are 4 tabs:
Language
Text
Formats
Input Sources
I have added a language under the first tab, Language, only to find that there is no correspondingly supported input option under the fourth tab, Input Sources.
I would now like to remove the entry I added under the first tab, Langauge, but cannot figure out how to do this. I have tried highlighting and pressing delete, dragging it out of the window, etc., but so far nothing works.
Are there any drawbacks to enabling iTunes' option to "Use error correction when reading Audio CDs" in the import settings (other than ripping will simply take longer)? What I would really like to know is whether or not enabling this feature will in any way adversely affect the quality of CD rips I get?

Since upgrading to Final Cut Pro 10.1.2, the software is working almost perfectly fine, but when exporting movies - whether I export them as h264, iTunes or directly to YouTube - they do not export with the colour corrections I applied to different shots.
View 14 Replies View RelatedSince Mac OS X Tiger, you can listen to your computer with VoiceOver's help.Basically, you define trigger key strokes in the Preferences Pane and the system generate an utterance of the text you've selected in your document. For the rest of us, because of the localisation, Mac OS X does not come up with the same polish.Similarly, the Dictionary.app displays a fine New Oxford American Dictionary. Even when you purchased your mac in a non-English speaking European country, like France.

I would like to purchase music from the French i-tunes store. The music is not available in the US store. I was told I have to be a resident of France, with a French Credit Card and adderss. Seems rediculous in a world market to not allow electronic download purchases across the pond. At the very least the French artists should be listed on the us site too. I suspect the "cloud" has plenty of room.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIn one document in MS Word 2004, the language keeps reverting to French. I try resetting both the default language and the language choice as English (Tools > Language...), however, rather quickly it reverts back to French. This messes up the spell check. What can I do to keep it on English? (With a google search, I did find a 2005 post that mentions this as a systemic problem. But that forum didn't seem to offer a solution: [URL:....] Has this been settled elsewhere?)Second problem, perhaps related. MS Word automatically corrects some spelling as I type. However, in the document with the French problem, the text is being corrected in a weird way. It's not accepting a semi-colon ; next to a word. Instead, it inserts a space between the word and the semi-colon. What's that all about and how do I change it? Are these problems related?

I assume there's a problem with fonts, but, nothing wrong with fontbook (checked duplicates for instance).
Last information : it looks ok within chrome on my Imac, but the issue comes back when I try to print from chrome app...the accents are gone on the sheet.
