Aug 27, 2007I can see the accent keys, but I cannot get them to work right. Is there any way to type French accents without changing the keyboard layout to French? This is the new, flat Apple keyboard, on the last white iMac model.

Mar 24, 2012They show a blank space for all the accented vowels.If I open the same document with Safari, it's the same. But with Chrome, it works perfectly.
I assume there's a problem with fonts, but, nothing wrong with fontbook (checked duplicates for instance).
Last information : it looks ok within chrome on my Imac, but the issue comes back when I try to print from chrome app...the accents are gone on the sheet.

Mar 30, 2012I haven't had this work with Lion on my macbook pro that just died nor the Macbook Air I just got. I use accents on letters all the time and it would be really helpfu. I've tried turning off key repeat, that doesn't help. I tried copy and pasting something into terminal I saw on one of the other discussions, but that didn't help either (although it is possible I did it wrong since I don't use Terminal hardly ever).

I was told I have to be a resident of France, with a French Credit Card and adderss. Seems rediculous in a world market to not allow electronic download purchases across the pond.
