MacBook :: How To Connect To TV Using Mini DVI To HDMI - No Picture
Sep 22, 2009
I feel like I've read every thread on every forum, and they all cover the same issues. I've spent FAR too many hours trying to hook this up and I'm asking for your help. I have the mini dvi to hdmi adapter, with the hdmi going into the tv. I only have one hdmi input on my TV so I know it's turned to the right input. I've tried mirroring, I've tried switching hdmi cables, and even bought another adapter. I had the picture up yesterday just clicking on settings but it was when the screen wasn't mirrored, and it was treating it as another display. Now I can't even get that to work. I've tried every resolution. I plug it in, and detect the monitor, and it brings up two windows. One is "color lcd" and the other is "TSB-H66S".
I need a 6ft DVI to HDMI cable to connect my mini to my TV. Unfortunately these are out of stock at monoprice. Can you suggest any other reputable alternate site where these cables can be bought for a reasonable price?
I have a Mac Mini w/windows 7 32 bit installed VIA bootcamp. Is anyone running [URL] this VIA windows on a Mac? I tried mini DVI to VGA, but my tv won't pick up the windows side at all and I can't get 1080p on the Mac side.
Mac Book Pro retina ( OS X 10.9.4 ) 10 months old; Apple Tv 10 months old connected to Sony TV . Get picture but no sound. I then connected Mac Book to Sony TV via a HDMI cable. Again picture but no sound. Rebooted Mac Book tried again, no success.
So i bought a mini display port to hdmi converter and im running an hdmi to RCA cable from to my tv. I dont really know how to set it up to put out the video. I went into displays and clicked detect displays and nothing showed up and theres nothing but a blue screen on my tv.
I am trying to connect my Mac Book Pro to HD tv with a HDMI cable. I bought the cable at the apple store. When I plug it in and I turn tv to HDMI, the screen on my laptop turns blue for a few seconds and then returns to home screen. How do I get my computer to show up on my tv?
I have a late 2009 13.3" MacBook, and I want to use my tv as a monitor but I wasn't looking to have 3 adapters to make it possible so I was hoping to have the Mini DVI to HDMI cable. Well newegg said this cable was what I wanted so I bought it for $20 and of course it isn't what i want at all. Where can I find the cable I want?
I've connected my Macbook to my Samsung TV via HDMI and it works great!
I've been using the TV for it's speakers and screensaver so I'd like to be able to put on iTunes and have my slideshow play on the TV while I have guests over.
It works great, but if I don't touch the macbook for 20 minutes, the signal to the TV cuts out. The Macbook isn't going to sleep, because I've adjusted those settings accordingly. I feel like the TV is stopping the connection for some reason. As soon as I touch my macbook, it resumes playing and everything.
I just got in the mail the new MDP to HDMI and i plug it in to my macbook then to my 32" Samsung 720p TV and In mirrored mode it doesnt display the full Screen thats on my macbook it cuts off an edge all around so i cant see the menu bar up top barely see the dock i tried different resolutions and still doesnt help... Anyone have any Idea why this happens? And also whats a good audio Cable so i can output the audio from my macbook to my TV?
