View 1 RepliesThe Mac Lab at my school has terrible temperature regulation. It's in the basement of an open floor plan building, and during the winter it gets so bad in there that my fingers go numb. Obviously these are not ideal conditions when you are trying to work with a keyboard, a mouse and a wacom for hours on end. I'm wondering, does anybody own or know of a pair of gloves that happen to be thin enough to allow for typing yet still keep your hands warm?
I tried googling for a bit but all I could find were gloves with the fingertips cut off. I think I must have poor circulation in my hands or something because my fingers and toes seem to stay cold most of the winter regardless of how warm my body is. And working on a computer in a cold room just makes it exponentially worse of course.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI got a MBP just last month, the battery capacity has decreased to 97%.
However, recently, when I turn my MBP on and I check Coconut Battery, the battery capacity remains at 97% but my battery charge is only at 20%. And I kind of leave my MBP plugged in all the time usually at 100% charge, I have no idea why the battery charge keeps dropping and if this is normal.
As in after I charge it up, turn it off overnight, turn it on the next morning, the battery charge is only 20% and it doesn't charge until I unplug it and plug it in again.

I have tried to connect my phone numerous times while it has been conected to the power cord and also running on battery.
It also took my new Mac a good half an hour to recognise my external hard drive was connected and let me use it..Â
I have had this problem once or twice with the same IPhone and my old mac so im thinking it may be a problem with my phone considering it is 2 years old now?
But then again, my old mac that is nearly 4 can still connect to my phone when my new MBP can't. Â

My Macbook Pro does not always turn on first time, it takes awhile to click on, it just clicks every time I try to turn it on, It turns on when its warm though, it also turns off when I close the lid, but the light says it is on, after leaving the lid closed for more then 5 minutes, and I open the lid it is turned off? Recently i dont know what has happened to my mac but what ever i do i can't get the screensaver to auto start it will start with hot corners but anything else not a chance.
I have tried repairing the permissions but at a loose end now and dont want the screen burning.
while i was playing my music on my iphone, and reading the lyrics. i noticed some of the words were wrong or missing. i decided when i get on my mac, ill open itunes and fix the lyrics. then re-sync my iphone. now when i play the song that was fixed, the lyrics dont show up. it just says loading.

Stange one this ( or really obvious and I just can't see the answer ).
I have transfered a CAD program to another computer so I can leave it up and running to do a really long render - several days worth.
So I transfered all relevant files to the new machine ( 17" MBP 2.8 ) - and the programs and files run fine. However the programs control windows were collapsed to a single bar - no problem I thought, I'll just double click them to uncollapse them. But that didn't work, either with the trackpad or the mouse.
I then tried double clicking in windows on other programs, and this didn't work.
So the nub of the problem is that on the new machine the double click feature doesn't work.
How do I turn it on? I've tried looking at System Preferences / Trackpad etc. and can't see the answer.
I,am don't have visa card number only have visa debit, how can I download game or any application from store application. Please advice of this matter.Â

View 5 Replies View Related I have a iMac 27" i7 8GB Ram. I installed Windows 7 64 bit. Everything seems to work just fine, except Blu Ray playback.
I have a LG BDRW drive in a 5.25" external caddy. When I try to play a Blu Ray using the bundled CyberLink PowerDVD HD software it says I dont have a HDCP display so it asks me to run a 'BD advisor' tool for more info.
That tells me that both the ATI 4850 card AND the display are not HDCP compliant. I know they must be so whats going on!?

I did nearly six hours intense work on my MacBook Pro yesterday (Photoshop, Indesign, updating software and numerous other tasks).
I don't have a temperature gauge in my menu bar, so I don't know how hot the MacBook became, except it was quite hot to touch at the back.

i sent an html email to three different email accounts that i have set up on my iphone - gmail, mac.com, and a personal pop server. the email is pretty basic html - a simple table of text with just one image.both the gmail and personal pop accounts received the formatting properly, but for the mac.com account, it showed up as a mime-html attachment instead. is there anything that i can do to prevent that?
