I'm a professional composer. I've just re-done my studio set up and it looks like this,The two thunderbolt displays seem to work perfectly and I've had no complaints with them. I just can't get the TV to be that 4th monitor. I'd like to flick the video I'm working with up to the TV above to give my desktop ample room. I've tried two things so far: (1) a mini display port to HDMI cable, and (2) a mini display port to VGA to HDMI (crazy, I know). Is there any way I can get this to work? Any alternatives?

if there is any way to have some extra power for my macbook because I'm not going to be able to plug in to a power source for quite sometime. I will be flying overseas and will not be able to plug into a power source (no biz class or first class for me) and was looking for an affordable way to be able to use my laptop for more than the time the battery lasts, which isn't all that long.

I currently run my MacBook in clamshell mode with an external monitor, keyboard, etc. I have researched usb to VGA or DVI conversion kits but all of the sources seem outdated. I don't need HDMI because my sound output goes through my MiniPort Display, out through speakers connected to my primary monitor. I am aware that a usb connection will come with lag, but it isn't that big of a deal.

Does anyone have instructions for the new macbook Air 128Gb ssd, how to do a clean install, if you follow the procedures from the first model, you can omit the printer driver, other languages etc. but the applications are on a second DVD called Application DVD (unlike the 1st Macbook Air where it was Mac OS system disk 1 and 2) and its all or nothing, I didn't check the box and all the apps were installed, I don't need Garage Band, IMOVIE or IDVD etc, has anyone come across this and a solution for it, maybe not insert the applications DVD to save the additional disk space?

I use my MBP 09 unibody closed and attached to a large monitor 90% of the time. I'm finally changing up my entire setup because the HD TV screen I have been using to do work is hurting my eyes. I'm tryin to have a baller setup but it seems unlikely this is possible...
If I buy 2 LCD monitors (two LED apples are too expensive for me right now), can I get them both rigged up to my closed MBP, mirrored but at the same time duel separate function display? There must be some kind of adapter that allows you to run that.
Ideally I would have my left over HDTV on another desk to the left of the duel monitors as a 3rd one that I could use as a preview monitor for video and design. and/or just use it as a 3rd desktop space where I could say, show a client or friend a sample of finished work full screen, or put on a movie or run Itunes visualizer and music, all while I am using the main duel LCD computer displays to do work.

I currently use a Vista desktop with two 22" LCD monitors. Is there any solution out there that will let me use both of these external monitors with a new MBP? Ideal config would have the MBP in the middle with a 22" LCD on each side of the laptop. would like the dock/title bar on the laptop and be able to move windows over to each of the monitors.

I have the MacBook with the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M. I want to hookup two monitors. I know I have to buy the triplehead2go or the dualhead2go. But does anyone know if it supports 2x 1920x1200 resolution with mini DVI? The mac mini with the same graphics card but with mini display port does support it.

I'm on a Macbook Black running 10.5 (soon to be 10.6!), and currently have an external monitor hooked up via a Mini-DVI-to-VGA adapter. I'm trying to figure out an option for getting an second external up and running. (I do pdf-intensive research, and, well, you know how that goes. I'd hook up 25 monitors if I could--but I'm just setting my sights on a third screen for the time being!) I've done my homework with the search function, but the advice has been conflicting--some threads have made it sound like it can't be done; some others have said a product like DualHead2Go works. And a lot of threads are just plain over my head.

I do a lot of editing in Final Cut Pro and I was wondering what is the best way to connect two monitors to my Macbook pro (Intel early 2008 non-unibody). How could I make each monitor it's individual monitor and not just stretch it to two. Ultimately, I would like to work with three monitors, two externals and the LCD monitor thats on the MCP.

I have the 2010 MBP 13" and I understand it can utilize two monitors. Could this situation be possible, for using it as a HTPC;
1) Have my 'TV' screen hooked up via DVI for movies off the external HD
AND
2) Have my 'External Monitor' hooked up via DVI/HDMI for everyday computer use?
My TV isn't that close to my MBP, so I can get an extended DVI cable for it.

hooking up three external monitors to my macbook pro (mid 2010).
The only serious (not homemade) solution is the Matrox TripleHead2Go DP Edition, but this solution only gives me a max resolution of 4080x768 (3x 1360x768).
Unfortunately I dont believe that would be enough to satisfy me needs.
tl;dr:

I've got a Macbook Pro and need to add an additional monitor. Now, this may be a dumb question and I apologize beforehand but, do all monitors work fine on the Mac? I've seen loads (on Amazon for example) which only state PC. Is this the case or will they still work?

I have 1 simple question. What is the best way to get a total of 3 screens with my MBP? I currently have dual screen with mini-display monitor and the laptop screen. I would like to have 2 24" monitors + the laptop screen for a total of 3 monitors. I know I can run 1 of the monitors through miniDP, but what about the other monitor? I have herd of those USB video cards that allow you to connect another monitor? Any advice? I want this to be "cost efficient" so nothing more that about 50$ if possible.
