Ok, so I went to the apple support webpage and did all the junk they told me to do, but my might mouse still won't scroll down. It scrolls left, right, and up just fine, but for some reason it won't scroll down. The ball moves fine when i'm trying to scroll down, but, again, nothing happens...anyone have any suggests??? and Yes, i've cleaned it and haven't done anything to it and I can't think of anything I could have done to cause this...
View 10 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble with my new macbook pro where in some applications after scrolling down and stopping, I sometimes am unable to resume scrolling. I have tried shutting down the application, rebooting but nothing seems to work. Whenever this occurs I am still able to scroll fine in pages and safari but the preview app and xcode have been problematic for me.Â

For some reason, the scroll ball on my mouse fails to scroll down but will scroll up. I've obviously accidently changed something.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm using a microsoft intellimouse (USB to keyboard) on an iMac (late 2006), OSX 10.5.8
I recently connected my mighty mouse to the keyboard and changed some settings on the middle mouse button. Later I reconnected my microsoft mouse, and tried to change the settings back. Now, everything works as per usual, but my middle mouse click-drag scroll doesn't work
I can scroll by using the wheel up and down just fine, but if I try to click-drag, nothing happens. Is there any way I can fix this?
My wireless mighty mouse has just been dropped by a friend and came apart! Clipped it back together and the scroll and middle button do not work :-( it looks like there is a cable that connects them. Is there a special way to get it working again?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I scroll down, I get no response. Everything else is fine. The clicking sound has also stopped when scrolling down, and I guess this is the reason why it's not working.

i think my mighty mouse (wireless) is starting to suffer the inevitable scroll ball problem, as i cant scroll down as well anymore..have any of you had any sucess getting a replacement or fixing it??
View 5 Replies View RelatedThis is an issue most of you are probably familiar with. The 360 scroll ball on my mighty mouse has become so lodged with dirt (I'm assuming) making it impossible to scroll down. Scrolling left, right, and up works okay at best. When I scroll in the working directions, it makes a smooth tracking sound (tick-tick-tick-tick), when I scroll down, this sound is absent and is replaced by a "shhh" sound, which is the beginning of the word I'm thinking of when I hear it.
I've tried the "dry cloth" (when has that ever 100% worked) with no avail, then I resorted to using a sewing needle to get around the ball (which caught a very small amount of dirt). The down-scroll still doesn't work (I mean, it doesn't work AT ALL, it's not functional) and I don't know what to do. I'm sure the mouse can handle more than just regular-consumer workload.
Can anyone help me with this mighty mouse problem I'm having? Everything on the mouse is working perfectly EXCEPT when I try to scroll upwards the darn thing just won't do it. It scrolls down, left and right with no problem at all but when I want to go back up a page it does nothing. It's very odd and I have no idea what is wrong.
I recently developed a scrolling problem with my Mighty Mouse. It started to only vertical scroll in one direction. I reinstalled the software and it did not help. So, I called Apple tech support. While waiting on the line, I decided to press quite hard on the scroll button and try to scroll. That cured the problem, after that it only required the normal light touch to work properly. I do not know what was the cause of the problem, maybe dust(?), in any event it is working fine now.
View 24 Replies View RelatedI don't know if this is a coincidence or not, but my scroll ball on my Apple Mouse (wired) will no longer scroll upwards since applying the OS 10.7.4 Supplemental Update on the 1st June 2012.Â
I have a Mac Mini with a 27" Thunderbolt Display running 10.7.4. There are no software updates available and I have tried all the settings available in the system preferences.Â
I am using this wired mighty mouse for the pass 6 months and recently it had a problem regarding on the track ball... the track ball is able to scroll up just like normal... but when scroll down, it is no longer as sensitive as scrolling up...
View 15 Replies View RelatedIf you all knew about this before then sorry - I just haven't seen any mention of it anywhere but it definitely works. It may only be a program specific thing cos it doesn't work in mail or itunes but in iWork it jumps a page at a time and in firefox it skips to the bottom of the page. I find it very useful when browsing so I thought I'd let you know. You put three fingers down (I use my 3 middle) and just scroll with the outside 2 leaving your middle finger still. It feels a bit awkward at first but once I got used to it it was fine.

Currently I've installed a new Promethean ActivBoard 500 series and have been using it with a regular PC. It works fine, enabling all gesture controls with my fingers. When I install a Mac to this board, I can't seem to use gesture controls to manipulate my screen.I tried also with a OSX Lion Mac Book Pro and got same results.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying the new Safari and I love the support for the pinch gesture (coming to Firefox in the next version apparently). Anyhow, I find it difficult to control how quickly the page zooms. Is there any setting to slow the zoom down, i.e. make it less sensitive?

Stopped working a couple of days ago. It will scroll up and I can click in the side bar and move up or down but not when I use the little ball on top of the mouse.

I'm using a wireless Mighty Mouse with a Mac Mini (the newest model) and am running 10.6.3.
The scroll wheel can scroll up just fine, but scrolling down, it literally only scrolls down a fraction of a pixel (if that's even possible) per finger flickr/scroll.
I opened the Mouse panel from System Preferences and adjusted the Scroll setting, but no luck.
I haven't found much detail on this. What does the new 3 finger gesture do?
View 2 Replies View RelatedAny way to customize gesture commands? For instance, I would like to be able to 4 finger swipe left/right and flow through my Spaces. Anybody? If not now, should we expect this customization ability in the future?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just went to the mozilla site and left some feedback for firefox requesting the 3 finger swipe gesture to be implemented, like in safari. Although, my single request probably wont do much, maybe others have and I'm contributing. Anyway, i thought i should post the link here, and anyone that could be bothered could fill it out as well.. the more people we get to send it, the more likely they developers will implement it
View 24 Replies View RelatedIn a Finder window, if I'm looking for photos (for example) and I click on the thumbnail view, I cannot enlarge the thumbnails like I used to with the pinch gesture. Has this been disabled in Lion 10.7? Is there a way to allow it again? The 'Pinch to Zoom' gesture has been allowed in System preferences and it works with every application, just not in a Finder window.

From time to time, as I am composing a message using Gmail in Safari, the email screen "freezes." I cannot continue to type, copy or paste, or do anything else to manipulate the screen; it is as if the page has become an image. I speculate that this is due to some inadvertant "gesture" on my part, as at other times my Safari screen will sometimes zoom in and out unaccountably, presumably because my track pad senses two fingers pinching instead of scrolling. This latter problem is very annoying, but I attribute it to my own clumsiness. The former problem of the screen freeze is more than annoying, as it requires me to completely redo a sometimes lengthy email. Is there a gesture that causes a screen to be captured as an image?
