Jun 22, 2012I have email through a web hosting company setup as IMAP through Apple Mail. In preferences, I have the box checked to save sent emails on the server, however, when I send emails they are stored in Sent Messages folder on my Mac and not on my web server. Also, when I send emails on my iPhone they are stored in the regular Sent folder for my email under Mailboxes.Â
How can I get all my sent emails stored on my web server?

Jun 11, 2012After installing Lion, I can no longer move program icons from my applications folder to a sub folder. When I do, it makes a copy and leave the original in the applications folder. When I then try to delete the icon in the applications folder it tells me it's required by the OS and won't let me delete. I'm forced to keep certan applications such as Time Machine and Stickies in the application folder.

Sep 14, 2009I currently use a POP but, because of all my iPhone issues and it automatically redownloading 3,500 emails everytime I do a fresh install of the OS, I want to change to IMAP.
My email provider says that, by doing that, all the emails on their server will vanish. Losing my emails is not an option!
So, is there a way of saving the emails locally on my Mac?

Feb 16, 2012I selected all the emails in a mailbox. Opened a new email, clicked in the body and click edit>append something or other. All the selected emails from the mailbox appeared in the new email. I click print and mail locks up and I have to force quit It's supposed to open a print dialog box in which I should be able to click PDF in the lower left corner... but I can't get that far. How can I save these emails as a PDF?

Sep 22, 2009I had mistakenly moved my gmail to mail.app - mistake was that I completely cleaned-out my entire Gmail account! I fixed Gmail so that it copies the emails as they go to mail.app, leaving it also in Gmail.
Now I want to restore the 3,000 emails I had cleared out of Gmail BACK into Gmail...can I do this?
Can I move them somehow from mail.app back into Gmail with one sweep, just as I had moved them all into mail.app from Gmail? Or am I skrw'd and have to move them individually by forwarding?

Aug 29, 2014My iMac is starting to be a bit slow and I think it,s due to the fact that as a new iMac user, I downloaded lots of things I don't really need. I have all of my files on an external hard drive so I'm not scared of what I might loose if I reset my system.Â
Only thing I'm scared are my emails. Is there a way for my to save everything on an external drive, restore my system (which I don't know how to do) and once everything is back in order, I could simply import my emails and it would be as if nothing happened (well, for my emails at least)?Â

Then I updated: OS X Mavericks 10.9.3 (Update (Combo) [URL] ... This sorted out what was, after installing Mavericks, a slower computer. Very happy. However now, when I do a search in the Mail App. and then drag one email to a folder and then click on others and choose move to 'the same folder as one before' it does this but the search replenishes the same email and around and around we go. Before updating this was working fine. How to rectify the search to folder problem descibed above
