After uploading my photo to use in these forums, and saving said photo, the little box on the left of each post, keeps using my avatar. I don't want or need an avatar (do I?) and would rather use my photo. I see other posters using photos, so why doesn't my profile photo show up? I don't see anywhere under Profile Settings where I can either disable the avatar altogether, or, at the very least, enable the photo. I clicked saved after uploading my photo but how do I get it to show up with each post?

My MacBook Pro 13", running on latest update, is showing a completely blue, plain blue, desktop background. It changed all by itself. When I tried to reset it by right clicking on the image I want on my desktop and selecting "Set Desktop Picture" nothing changes. When I go into my settings and try to change it that way, the image I want as my background shows as already being my background, yet my desktop is still blue. Tried rebooting already.

I recently noticed that my mac book pro, 17" display, with Dual 2.66 Ghz i7 processors is running slower than usual. I ran disk utility and onyx and everything is fine. When I run apps in general things seem ok except for Safari, which crawls at times and I get a lot of spinning beach balls. Seemlingly a very common problem lately. In trying to locate the source of the problem, I went to my preferences to see what OSX thought of my system. Low and behold, it thinks that I only have one CPU!!! The OS thinks I have 1 CPU where the apps know that I have 2 CPUs. When I am running apps that display the CPUs, (i.e. Activity Monitor, video apps, disk burning apps, etc) they all show 4 cores as expected. why the system would be incorrectly displaying only one i7 CPU? This has happened in recent weeks. The last time I looked (weeks ago) it correctly showed 2 i7 CPUs. I have reboted my machine several times already, so that's not it.

Is there a way to see the content that's been uploaded to iCloud? I want to delete and add additional content, but don't know of a way to see the 'clould' as a folder. I guess as Apple as done away with iDisk (where this was possible) it was just a good method of being able to visually confirm what's there and what isn't.

My only goal is to add my website name at the beginning of the video. The MP4 won't work and FLV won't either although that will be the format for youtube. I have a very simple website I update and publish using iWeb. The changes can then be seen immediately if I go look with Chrome or Firefox, but Safari insists on seeing the older website, before updates.Â
I have tried clearing the cache, resetting Safari, clearing history, erasing cookies and content, nothing works.
I uploaded a few documents on to my iCloud drive from my Mac 1. I can see them from My Mac 1 and from iCloud.com but cannot from my other Macs.
Documents were uploaded in the morning and am checking at night, still no signs. Is there a access or sync issue for showing documents across all your devices ?

I created an everyday reoccurring event in my iphone for one of my summer classes. I unfortunately forget to add which day it ends. Then it was uploaded to ical and then to my google calendar via nemusync on the iphone.
I dont know how it worked out but now I have an event on both my ical and iphone that I cant simply "delete future events". Now I have to delete every single one for 80 something months or something like that.
The question I have is how do I remove a single recurring event. I have tried deleting the very first occurance of the event and it didnt work. I have tried deleting it from the iphone and ical. Nothing works other than deleting each one, one by one.
will it delete my music?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm setup a master image in Lion on a MacBook Pro and sucessfully created the image and hosted it up on as a NetRestore. In this image I made a local account that I call "Local Adminisrator" with the short name "ladmin" and I use this account to install all my applications under and also set user settings like finder views, dock icons, turn off resume, turn off backwards scrolling and all those things. Typically in Snow Leopard after I have done this, these settings took affect under other users. Â Â
You may be thinking, why not just set user prefrerences under Workgroup Manager and the reason I havn't done this is my server runs Snow Leopard Server and its scheduled for upgrade for the mountain lion release. So far how I've hosted the NetResore images is in a Virtual Machine running on an iMac I have lying around. Â Â
So my question is: is there any I can create all user settings under lion in my one administrator account and then have these settings be applied for all the users? It seems like Lion just goes back to the defaults whenever a new user logs in from either active directroy or open directory,Â

I'm running final cut pro X version 10.0 and I would like to update to 10.0.4 but the app store shows "all apps are up to date" Anyone encounter this before? When I run FCPX and go to about it clearly shows I'm runing 10.0. I've checked for software updates and that has not found the update either. This link says I can download it from the app store. When i launch the app store it says "Install" and when i click that it says, i've already purchased final cut 10 and cannot instal it? I just want the update?
