Lately, when viewing my site in Safari I've found that the pointing finger cursor will not show when I hover over a text link in a Flash object.
Curiously this only occurs with some of the links.
The arrow cursor shows and the link still works. The finger shows up on all the lnks using Firefox so it seems to be a Safari/Flash problem.Â

Mar 4, 2010I prefer Firefox. But when I click on a link in an email, it opens in Safari. I searched for 'browser' and 'default' in my computer's help (no hits), and I searched the forum for 'apple mail' and 'firefox' with no good hits. Maybe related, but I see no way to make Firefox my default browser. I do have it set to open on startup, and safari does not open. But if I click on a link in an email, it will still open safari instead of using Firefox.

I've also noticed that Safari will not save my internet login password. I'm staying in a hotel and every 24 hours or so, I'll need to re-login. Using SL & Safari the username stays there but not the password. Before the SL install everything was fine, my email password and the hotel username & password would always be input and remembered.

Oct 21, 2010On my Macbook, I use Mail when on the road. Lately, every time I open Mail it asks me for my password. I supply it and compose a message. When I try to send the message, it asks me for my password again. In Mail Preferences, I type in my password for the account, click on the "save changes" box, and close Preferences. When I reopen preferences again, the password is missing. Also when I am asked for the password in order to send or receive messages, I fill in the password and click on "save password in keychain" box. No change - it continues to ask for the password every time.
