You would normally have to fill out a returns form when you send things back to stores.Just wondering why there was nothing for me to fill out as they won't know what it is when they receive it as they won't know my return i.d.does anyone know if there was supposed to be one inside? or if I need to request one from somwhere? or do i not need to do anything but send it?

Due to a HUGE misundesrtanding, my dad erased my external HD!! But not only that... he cleaned it and made a zero fill!!! Is there any way I can recover my information? Is there maybe any way I can undo the zero fill?
I've been waiting for these Arrandale 15" MBPs since December '09, and in my excitement and haste I didn't assess all the options when I ordered my new laptop.I ordered the base 15" model with no changes to it, but I really need the high-res screen. 3 questions for you lovely people:1) Once I get the laptop, I could return it and change it for a one with the hi-res screen. How long does it usually take to return a Macbook Pro and get a new one back again?
2) If, once I recieve the laptop, I drove to my nearest Apple Store (about 60 miles away- I'm in UK), could I simply hand them my unopened laptop and ask for an exchange for one with a hi-res screen?
3) I noticed a hi-res, anti-glare option. Does anybody know if the anti-glare option still has that ugly grey surroun

In the past week my volume suddenly gets 50% to 70% louder and after a few moments it returns to the original sound. This happens two or three time in an hour.
There have been a couple of discussions about third party retailer returns on bto iMacs and I was wanting to clear it up. I would like to get an i7 at macmall and use the $150 discount. I believe I still have to pay tax in il though. Anyways, if I get it and tere are a couple dead pixels next to each other in the center, I just have to send it into apple and have them repair it under the one year warranty right? The bad part about macmall is that I can't just exchange it out for a new one
View 13 Replies View RelatedSo i've had my Macbook air 13" since december, i've had some problems with the trackpad so apple repaired it a few days ago. They've returned it once and they hadent reconnected the keyboard so i had to wait for them to fix it again. I've now noticed that when i power my macbook air up, or wake it from sleep theres a kind of zip noise that comes from the top left hand corner of the keyboard? Almost like scratching one of those reflective plastic pictures that changes the picture depending which way you look at it from. Is this noise normal? I've haden't noticed it before. i took it in again and apple said they 'Could not replicate' the problem.

I'm trying to fill in this tax office online form, which is actually meant for IE...Apparently you can ONLY use IE. So Im trying to figure out a way to:
A. Get IE on my mac (or secure emulator which will let me print/save the output of the form)
OR
B. Some type of plug in??Â
I'm using the SUM() function in a Pages table to sum the numbers of a column. For example "=SUM(C1:C14)".
Unfortunately, it always returns 0 no matter what arguments I give it.
Manually adding cells works fine i.e. "=C1+C2+...+C14".
When I awaken my G5 in the morning (when its chilly) it goes back to sleep almost immediately. This may repeat twice before it finally stays on. I initially thought it was my HD, a new purchase at the time. However, I have switched to another internal drive and have been experiencing identical results. I've run TechTool Pro, Onyx, Applejack, and Disk Utility, thinking it was a HD issue, but having switched drives, I'm thinking it must be a hardware issue of some sort.

When I return back from a page most of the time install of the original page, Safari returns to a very old page.Â
This seems to happen on Ars Technica's site the most. Of course on that site I do a lot of jumping atround to view all of their articles.Â
I have cleaned Safari cache, also history and remove all web perveiw images plus restarting Safari and reboot all without having any effect.Â
In Settings->Keyboard->Text it is possible to add/delete replacement texts; e.g. 'omw' comes as a default to replace 'on my way'. A Swedish language default is replacing 'mvh' with 'med vänlig hälsning'. I prefer not using these and have thus deleted both of them. Repeatedly deleted them that is since these defaults keep returning a day or so after I have deleted them.

Every time I search for a song in iTunes, then close the search by hitting the "x" in the search bar, iTunes returns me to the top of my iTunes library (the A's), instead of staying on the song I've searched for and selected. It's incredibly annoying, and has been happening to my iTunes for a few years (but didn't in early versions of the software). Does anyone else have this problem? Is it a bug, or just a bad design? mdls -raw -name kMDItemDurationSeconds SomeTone.m4r  on the terminal returns (null) as the output. When I check the info for the ringtone in iTunes, I see that it's 14s long. Same issue when I try to fetch the total bitrate for the ringtone using mdls. It also returns null. Why does mdls fail ?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having a problem with autofill not completing passwords. Usernames / IDs are being completed on websites but associated passwordsa are not being autofilled. I have tried to delete them from Safari/Preferences/Autofill/Usernames and Passords but I cannot delete a single entry or even the entire list! I have even tried deleting the site info: UserID and password from Keychain Access and then re-entering them manually but this does not seem to rectify the problem. Every time I open a website with a log in required, the username / ID is autofilled, but the password is now not. (It all worked previously) When I input the password, a dropdown window asks if I wish to have it remembered and I say yes, but it is not. Â
