I ordered a macbook but I realized too late that I had ordered the wrong keyboard. If I do not accept UPS delivery, will UPS return it to Apple? Or will UPS simply store it until I pick it up?

Does anyone know of an easy method to receive a return e-mail receipt using Apple Mail and a .Mac/.Me account. I know that in Windows you can use Outlook to receive/request a return receipt when the receiver opens the e-mail. I believe that even using Microsoft Office Entourage '08 would work as well but I really want to stay all Apple applications if at all possible

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have just set up our G5 Mac's on our Windows Domain, I have enabled IMAP on Exchange Server 2003 and configured Mac Mail accordingly. Mac Mail can now send and receive messages and attachment just fine but when a sent message fails you do not receive the automated delivery failure notification from the System Administrator. If the Mac operator uses Outlook Web Access or a PC using IMAP to check his Inbox then the automated messages are displayed fine but Mac Mail refuses to pick them up. I am new to Mac's and would appreciate some advice, I have checked the Junk mail and they are not there either.

A weird thing is happening with Mail.app. I'm on a PPC Mac with 10.4.11. Every time I go to a folder other than Inbox and then return to the Inbox there is a couple of emails threaded together with the subject line: Fwd: Delivery Notice Status (Failure) If I click on one of these emails, the email is blank including no headers showing up at all. Again, the emails only appear if I go to another mailbox folder and return to the Inbox. They do not appear if I stay in the Inbox.

The 'Return' and 'Backspace' keys on my mac have recently stopped working. Nothing was spilled on them and nothing seems to be wrong with them when pressed down. I also removed the keys and checked that there was nothing in the way, but there wasn't. I have rung apple and they said it would need to be taken into a store, but there isn't one near by and it will be a few weeks until i can take it in. In the meantime, is there any way that I could remap the keys in question to another couple of keys. For instance right command and right option?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm a recent convert to a MacBook Air 13" Mid 2011 (running Mac OS X 10.7.3) in which I have connected to a HP 2711x monitor via the the Thunderbolt port using a DP to DVI adaptor connected to a DVI cable ultimately plugged into the DVI source on the monitor. In run my configure with both the MacBook's screen and the monitor running, extending my desktop not mirroring.
While everything works on "first run", for example connecting the laptop at the beginning of the day, at some point when the MacBook Air sleeps or (potentially) the HP monitor, when either are woken, the monitor no longer senses a DVI source. The MacBook still believes there is a second display. But, the HP monitor goes back to sleep. Turn the power off and back on to the monitor doesn't fix the problem. The only fix is to pull the power cord on the monitor and plug it back in, and it immediately goes back to normal.
I've tried shutting off the "Auto-Switch Source" feature on the monitor and have set the default source to DVI. We even tried using a different setup via HDMI, and the same problem occurred.

I removed my two 2gb standard Ram from my macbook pro, and inserted the two 4gb Ram. When I turned the computer one it began using its 3 beep sequence as if the Ram fail, so I removed one 4gb Ram and reinserted a 2gb Ram and the computer started. It said I had total 6 gb ram. I am wonderind why It won't accept both of the 4gb Ram.
