I have a MacBook Pro on 10.8.5 and I cannot find or connect the MX870 printer wirelessly. It used to connect perfectly and now doesn't at all.
I have an iMac on 10.9.3 that runs the MX870 without issue.
I am looking to buy the less expensive aluminum macbook, this will be my first mac so I have some questions:
1. I will be buying Microsoft Office for mac. Will this be exactly the same as the windows version, just for mac?
2. I will need to print things, and I already have a printer for my desktop PC. Can my macbook wirelessly connect to that (if there is a way with a wire, how would you do it)
3. If I want to play Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 on it, will it work, or will I have to get some kind of mac version of the game?
this may be sort of a noob question but I was hoping someone could help me out. I have an HP photosmart 8050 printer hooked up to my iMac via USB. The thing is my girlfriend uses my other 2 dell laptops mainly for school while I use my iMac for school. All of these computers are on the same network and are scattered around my house.
So being in school we need to print out a lot of documentation and wanted to just have the printer setup wirelessly. I have a modem w/ the wired/wireless router, and all my computers have internal wireless cards.
Just purchased a linksys wrt54g to connect my macbook wirelessly to my mac mini's internet. Please excuse that I don't know much, but...is there anway that I can hook my USB computer up to this router so that they can share this? It is an HP all-in one. I don't mind buying exra cables if I coud print off of both computers.

Let me start by saying that I know very little about how computers/networks, etc work.
I've had my macbook for a couple years (I don't even know how to find out what year it was made, I'd guess 2008). It just suddenly stopped allowing me to connect to the internet wirelessly at my house. I brought it to my college campus, where I've been able to connect all semester, and I cannot connect there either. I'm receiving wireless signals in both places with my phone.
When I go to system pref - network....and highlight airport, it says it's not connected even though i have all my bars at the top right of the screen.
It says "Airport does not have an IP address and cannot connect to the Internet."
I should point out that my brother's macbook pro still works fine wirelessly in our house.
my goal is for it to be free I don't want to buy some special wire or transmitter so I hope you can help i tryed optimum limk but it doesnt support mac

If I understand correctly, I should be able to set up the MBP to wirelessly print to the HP printer via the Airport Extreme. Is that true? Would the iMac have to been on and if so, can it be asleep? I just got the Epson workforce 615 and after hours of trying to connect this printer to my airport I give up....

I notice when hard wired I get settings of.
IP: 192.168.2.10
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
When not Wired I get

(I renewed DHCP lease and get the same)
(I entered all the IP and Subnet manually (same as wired settings) but it still would not connect.
I also tried re-install os X, as well as resetting my modem and setting my home network back up.
Apple tells me the TC can connect to my D-Link router, and D-Link tells me that the router can be connected to, but no one seems to know how to do it. I have searched and searched to no avail.
Does anyone know how to connect the TC to the D-Link to "extend" my wireless setup?

I've read about a thousand threads and can't seem to find a solution to my problem: my computer is able to recognize my Airport network and it has the green signal next to it with the full signal strength, but when I select it, the internet doesn't work. I've seen previous discussions regarding problems installing a Dell printer. I have a Dell 962 wireless printer. I did find the compatible Mac driver R92834 and I did install the driver. However, when I try to add the printer, I can't find the printer in the drop down list. Am I supposed to be looking for a Lexmark printer? If so, I have no idea what model is equivalent to the Dell 962 AIO. The model sticker is 4409-0d1. A search for this model returns nothing. I'm a newbie with Macs. OS is 10.4.3. Got any ideas?
