MacBook Pro :: Not Getting Any Updated Emails
Jun 23, 2012I am not getting any updated emails.
View 2 RepliesI am not getting any updated emails.
View 2 RepliesWe have two email addresses (one for myself and one for my spouse). In one account the e-mails now seem to "appear" twice in that inbox since Snow Leopard. However, when we move the email to another folder, only one moves and the phantom one disappears. This is annoying. Any thoughts of what we might do?
What I mean is that the link will open the browser (which ever one is set as default,) but the browser opens to the home page instead of going to the page specified by the link in the email. it is not because I haven't set a default browser.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am new to Mac-have recently migrated from PC to a dear little MacBook. This may be a server problem, but thought I would ask. Suddenly my inbox filled up with 1500 old emails (3-4 months' worth all marked "unread"). Have I inadvertently done something?

How do I sync my emails on my phone with the emails on my Macbook Pro, so that when I delete items off my inbox on my phone it will automatically recognize it on my Mac? Rather annoying having to see the emails on my Mac again after deleting them all.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI started my Mac mail application today (set to connect to my gmail accounts through IMAP), and all my mail that was in my inbox is GONE. I don't know if my gmail accounts were hacked or if their implementation of "Priority Inbox" just trashed all my messages older than 35 days. I've changed my password and disabled Priority Inbox. Does anyone have any ideas about how I can recover my e-mails?

I set up the rule according to another apple support thread and instead of only sending the reply to new mail received, it was sent to all messages I believe that were in my INBOX, I only had a few but several people that hadn't sent me emails since I set up the rule, received the OUT OF OFFICE reply. Here is the procedure I followed for the out of office rule-[URL]I just used my email account which is a business account- not an ECU account but these rules according to the apple thread apply for all emails.

I have one problem again regarding my "MAIL"
I can send emails, without any problems...but I can't RECEIVE any emails, at all. All of a sudden.
On the left bottom corner, I can see, receiving 1 of 4, and after 1 min, the bar is gone, and I cannot get any emails at all.
When I login to the webmail (abc.com/webmail for instance), I can find there're 4 emails sitting there "unread"
May I know what's the problem? and how to fix it? because I want to be able to receive the mails from MAIL instead of logging in to webmail all the time.
I have an issue with my Apple Mail. I've configured my server's email on it. Now it works all fine when I setup a new account; I can easily send and receive emails.
However, after I quit the application, and reopen it, I can ONLY send emails! I don't receive any emails!
I finished building this macbook out of lots of parts. The Logic Board is a 2.0GHZ Core duo and it has 1.5GB RAM. Sometimes when I open the lid it restarts from a black screen. And I can't install the Firmware because of "An Unexpected Error occurred your firmware could not be updated (0)".

My MacPro keeps having kernel panic (4x in a week, then none in almost 2 weeks, then comes back again today) even when everything is updated. And I recognize that I always get the kernel panic only when I visit this one website where I usually go to stream an online movie. What could be wrong with my Mac? Is there a way to stop and/or prevent future kernel panic attack?

View 2 Replies View RelatedStuck on screen with apple logo. No curser, nothing.
Last try got stuck on a blue screen that alternated tones of blue every few seconds. Was able to start up in safe mode ( held shift). Finder loaded after a loooong wait. Once there I used Disc Diet to empty caches- this usually help to get rid of the rolling beach ball. Wasn't able to do much at all- all with rolling beach ball. Restarted without shift key- stuck on apple.
Should I uninstall Safari?

When I click on my Firefox icon now, it brings up the window to choose safe mode or reset. It won't do anything in either.
I have re-started many times. I have shut down and restarted. Nothing is working!
I have no menu bar, no availability to pull down from anything. Just the spinning wheel.
Firefox is my default browser and I have many tabs and open windows I would love to access.

I just updated to Final Cut Pro X 10.1.3. FCPX is not responding. It has the spinning wheel going. Now it is not functioning at all!
In the Activity Monitor it shows 2 programs as "(Not Responding)" Those are: Final Cut Pro and Codec32BitTool.
When I open the FCPX program, it seems that the spinning wheel starts as soon as I try to preview a clip. I have tried using new projects, projects updated from 10.1.2, and I have also tried with a new user. All have the same result. Not responding!!!
If only I had not updated some critical projects to 10.1.3, or I would simply revert back to 10.1.2.
I am using a 2011 Mac Pro, 16GB RAM

Macbook white updated by Apple this Tuesday. Comparing the hardward configuration with Macbook unibody(466), the new Macbook white may faster than 466. Anyone think Macbook unibody will have a update on hardware soon?P.S MacRumors Buyer guide also said "Recommendation: Buy only if you need it - Approaching the end of a cycle"

View 9 Replies View RelatedYesterday, I was prompted to instal a software update, which I did. Everything seemed fine and I closed (did not turn off) my macbook. Today, when I opened my laptop, everything was frozen. I force quit. Turning my laptop back on, I get a gray screen with a blinking floder with a question mark. When I try to follow the instructions from the Apple support page for this issue, it doesn't work - it seems like there are no startup disks on my computer at all. I have a month's worth of data I can't lose. I'm not sure what operating system I have (I realize I sound completely incompetent). I bought my laptop at the end of December 2011; it's OS X Lion, but beyond that, I'm not sure).

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just bought the macbook air (1.6/80) at bestbuy for 1299. It was the last sealed box, woot. Curious though, this doesn't occur on my other laptop so I know it's not bandwidth issues. I am watching office at full screen, half way into it the video starts to stutter bad. I don't mind the cpu fans going full speed, or the heat, because that's the nature, however I can't stand the stuttering. Has anyone had experience in Revision 1 and watching hulu and getting it not to stutter half way into the episode?By the way nothing else is opened and/or running. Just safari. I also installed Flash 10 and updated the MBA completely with 3.2 safari

Is there anyone who hasn't taken the EFI 1.7 plunge and recently installed SL? If you did was the update forced upon upgrade and have you noticed any issues?
