I have checked the library and nothing comes up in association with that name. It's on my Safari browser and I would like it to not be there. I blocked it from other websites using it ... I have a MacBook Pro and am running 10.9.3. I don't know how it was placed there in the first place.

Some people were experiencing the same thing and said it was the Gameplaylabs Plugin. There are some intrusctions on how to fix this on a pc http://groups.google.com/a/googleproductforums.com/forum/#!topic/chrome/_UkMuA-j J5Y , but not on a mac. So can you help?

If I go to [URL] it tells me that my version of Java should be updated, but the Software Update... under my apple menu does not update it. I am using a mid 2009 Macbook pro, and just updated to 10.7.4. Since doing this my Flash plugin crashes on both Safari and Firefox so I can't even load Youtube videos. Â I've got the most updated version of Firefox and Flash player, and after looking through forums have tried rebooting my Macbook several times. Each time I reboot Youtube videos load a little bit more without crashing, but I havn't got more than 5 seconds into a video yet.Â

I have a macbook, running Lion (osx 10.7.3) and every time I try and watch a video, it goes black and says plug-in failure in the middle. This happens in both BBC iplayer and 4od, and it happens in safari and firefox. I'm currently trying to repair my disk permissions, and have emptied the cache of safari. I have uninstalled and re-installed flash player multiple times with no luck.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI've always been as safe as I know how to be with my mac. In case it is relevant, I run sophos security through my school and don't have any pirated software or files. That being said, Safari has been quitting very frequently. Many programs crash for no reason but none as often as safari. The reason it always offers is that something about the microsoft office genuine plugin. I think it's called microsoftofficegenuine.so I don't even run microsoft office... I had a legal 2004 edition a few months ago but it refused to open so I deleted it and now run openoffice. I do have silverlight though, because of netflix.Â
So far to fix the problem I have run software updates & installed those and repaired disk permissions via disk utility. I deleted the "microsoft updates" file (might have been a bad idea) and also, when I try to open this plugin it mentions, or search it on my system, it doesn't show anything, so I can't delete that. I've checked for this new flashback trojan but that website to check your UUID says mine is not reported as being infected...whatever that means. Also, something that has been gradually getting worse over the last few months:

View 3 Replies View Relatedi've decided that I absolutely hate everything about the QuickTime X plugin that comes in Snow Leopard. It seems to only show up when playing certain types of media (MP3, H.264), but I'd like to know if there's a way to use the old plugin for everything.
There are no words for how much I hate this thing. The back 30 seconds button looks stupid and is largely useless, the bar looks really fat and the play button is huge. More importantly, I can't change playback speed, and the "Save As..." feature is gone. I paid for the Pro version of this plugin and now Apple has rendered it useless for everything but straightforward playback on a good deal of the files I encounter daily.
Does anyone know of some way to force everything to open with the old plugin? I've thought of switching /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/QuickTime Plugin.plugin with the old one from Leopard, but I don't have it anymore and I'm not even convinced that this would work.
My safari has been crashing constantly for the past two days. When the screen pops up, its says...Safari has crashed while using the .createyourown.so plugin. I looked in the MacintoshHD->library->internet plugins and did not see it in there.

Is there a plug in for safari to use the url bar as a google search bar? The reason why I can't use google chrome is mobilme. I might sync my bookmarks over the air and I found no way to do this with chrome. I could simply change back to safari but I ll lose the nice search-bar feature.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have a question about Safari plugins. I was running under Tiger and got the SplashID desktop program with Safari plugin. I decided to upgrade my OS to Leopard so I can use a newly purchased Magic Mouse. Launched Safari and the SplashID plugin would not load. I replaced Safari, its preferences and other files and the plugin will not load. It worked fine in Tiger. I happened to have another internal drive loaded with Leopard from a while back and it's fully updated. I booted from it and installed SplashID and the plugin. Works perfectly! So, why will the Safari plugin not load on my primary drive that was upgraded from Tiger to Leopard versus the same Leopard on my other drive that was a clean install?
