How do i get air play to work from my macbook to apple tv? It does work with some programs like itunes but I can't get it to work with safari.

When I try to watch videos on the Apple website, they won't play. I have a Macbook Pro with OSX Lion. I'm not sure when it stopped being able to play them. I know it had no problem when I first bought the computer 2 years ago.I don't have problems on any other websites. All my software is up to date. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling flash.

Just brought home a brand new 13" MacBook Air. Went to the Apple website and couldn't play any videos. YouTube videos play fine, and the Apple Trailers website plays fine. It's just [URL] that won't play videos.
There are no extensions in Safari (so DivX isn't the problem). QuickTime 10 is installed. It's fresh out of the box. Haven't changed a thing. what we need to do to get videos playing from the Apple website?

I have Snow Leopard on my iMac, and I just downloaded the newest version of Flip4Mac (2.3.0.14) today.
My previous version of flip4mac allowed me to play and skip through wmv movies in Quick Look, but this new version won't allow me to do that anymore.
The wmv movies still play fine in QuickTime and VLC Players (I added these applications to the preference pane for flip4mac as suggested by others), but they won't play properly in Quick Look.
Is there a way to fix this, or is the newest flip4mac version not fully compatible with Snow Leopard yet?

I'm just wondering if there is a specific remote you need since they don't come with remotes any more I didn't know if Apple changed it or if they were only being cheap (which we know they are!). I need to use it for some Keynote presentations and I saw these on eBay and figured it wouldn't hurt to save $10 if they worked with my machine.

I am looking for an affordable method of playing iTunes on my big screen HDTV. In other words, I just want to mirror whatever is on my iMac screen on my HDTV. So I want ALL the iTunes features like the visualizer, randomizer, etc. to work without a hitch. Some people were saying they can't get the visualizer to work smoothly. And of course I want quality audio so I can utilize the soundbar on my TV to play MP3s.Â
I do not own an Apple TV device but I own a Google TV device called the Vizio Co-Star.
I was not able to find a Google app to simply mirror what's on my iMac onto my TV screen.Â
I reseached and found that there are two apps I can purchase -Â AirParrot and Reflector. Is this the best way of achieving what I want to do? Do I purchase both of them on my mac or do I need to purchase one of these and install on my Vizio Co-Star?Â

I have an .mpeg file that says it is 29.97 frames per second, but when ever I press play, it plays at about 23.976 frames per second. I'm trying to convert the file to an .mov file that is 23.976 fps and plays at 23.976 fps, but every time I try the result looks choppy. Does anyone know how I can convert a strange file like this to a proper, 23.976 fps file, preferably an .mov?

The cravings are worse every time there's a new Keynote Address from Apple, new press releases or the WWDC and I feel it starting. So as I type this on my 1st Gen 13" Alum MacBook with my white 3G iPhone next to me I can't help but wonder... I was wondering if it was normal for a Mac Pro to take about 5-10 seconds before it plays the Apple "dong" when it boots up? My Dell does the same, it takes about 5-10 seconds for the Dell boot screen to finish before going to the Windows boot screen.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Logitech Mediaplay Mouse that will not work on my iBook: it reads the receiver, but nothing about the mouse works. At first I thought it was because it must use a non-standard driver (and OS X isn't officially supported in the documentation), but after a little experimentation I've found that it works perfectly on my Cube (running Panther), my dad's Powerbook G4 (Tiger), my brother's Sawtooth G4 (Tiger), and every PC I have. My dad and brother don't use USB Overdrive, but the mouse worked perfectly with USB Overdrive on my Cube and it doesn't work on my iBook whether USB Overdrive is installed or not. I have never had any problems with peripherals and my iBook before. I love this mouse, so someone please help me figure how to make it work!

View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm sure this has already been posted, and I apologize if it has, but a couple of searches turned up empty.Anyway, I just discovered this today and I'm praying this is a bug and not a "feature". When you click the pause/play button on the Apple Remote, iTunes opens and begins playing. The same thing happens when you hit the pause/play button on the media bar. I thought I was becoming dyslexic because iTunes kept playing randomly. It was only until today when I discovered this bug while playing a file in VLC. Apparently it happens with pretty much any app.
