I've had this problem ever since upgrading to Lion quite awhile ago.† Each update of Lion promises to fix various bugs, but this one just won't go away.† Why is it that applications I've just updated (and which show in Finder as the current version) continue to show as needing updates in App Store.† It doesn't matter what I do, delete caches, deleting plists, etc, every time I go to the App Store to check on NEW updates, it continues to show me the ones I've already updated, and it becomes my task to sort through the list looking for those updated since the last time I checked† The only way I can tell is by update date. If the date is "today", then I know I haven't got the update.
Info:Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.2), 2010 Hexacore 3.33, 3 MBP, i7 imac
I cannot download apps or updates on the Mac App store. Whenever I try to download apps or updates the page seems to be loading something but nothing really happens. I cannot even log out from my apple account on the app store.
Info: MacBook Pro (15-inch Late 2008), Mac OS X (10.7.3)
I haven't upgraded yet but I was wondering if anyone could provide some feedback concerning the EFI 1.7 update and SL. #1. Is there anyone here who had installed the EFI 1.7 update, experienced those dreaded HDD issues and has now updated to SL? If you did have you noticed any changes? #2. Is there anyone who hasn't taken the EFI 1.7 plunge and recently installed SL? If you did was the update forced upon upgrade and have you noticed any issues?
I have tried esc, command + control + F, holding down the control key and scrolling with the mouse, tapping on the mouse, and making a pinching motion on the mouse. How do I get my screen back to normal size?
Until recently, when I downloaded an app update on my iPhone, it would automatically - without syncing - remove that same app update on iTunes and vice versa. Now it does this only when I download the update to my iTunes and then sync using USB.†When I do a wired sync. I can't figure out how to make it do it again automatically.
Subsequent to Yosemite or updates, my repeating calendar events can not be updated as before. When I update an event (of a repeating event) on my MacBook Pro; its reverts back when I shut it down and come back, and doesn't update other devices?
When I try to update the apps for my macbook air all that happens is that I am asked for my password, I type it in click on update all (I have also tried clicking on individual updates), and then that circle thing appears to go round and round endlessly. Nothing gets updated. I looked to see if I could update through itunes and there are no apps or updates for my macbook there. I have also clicked on the apple logo in the top left of the screen for updates and all my soft ware is up to date. What I should do to get the 5 updates done?
I have problem on updating some apps in "appstore". It doesn't work when I click " Updates ". It keep asking me at the below : - "To update this application, sign in to the account you used to purchase it." In fact, I have 2 apple ID. 1 for my iPhone 4S & 1 for my MacPro book. I tried to use both of the Apple ID, it doesn't work?
I have had Lion since the day it came out, and this is the first time I've encountered this problem. All of the applications that I have downloaded and installed before yesterday worked perfectly. Then, out of the blue, any application that I install or update (not from the App store) refuses to launch. It either bounces forever in the dock or does nothing when it is clicked.
The only system changes I have made are installing Photoshop CS6 Beta and Steam. So far, I've tried:
- Permissions & Disk repair through the Lion recovery partition
- Removing and re-downloading the apps
- Running in 32-Bit mode
I'm running 10.7.3, with all the latest updates installed, on a mid-2011 Macbook Pro. Restoring from a TM backup is not really a viable option currently, since my backup drive is 50 miles away and unavailable for the next week and a half
Under purchases I'm getting "you have not purchased any apps." Under Itunes in the Cloud all my apps are listed as hidden but when I click "view hidden purchases" it says I do not have any hidden purchases. I have three Macs and all are experiencing the same issue so this is an account problem and not a computer software problem. The funny thing is that it's still recognizing updates.Yes, I've tried signing out and back in to view my account with no luck. The only thing I did weird last night was I disabled the Itunes store and automatic downloading on one computer. This morning when I had the above problem I put all the settings back.
I seem to have this insistent reminder that i need to update my Angry Bords app (which i previously didnt purchase). When i clickthe update button however, the following windows pops up.what to do to prevent it from coming up again.
Receiving individual Final Cut X redemption codes for our fleet of MAC Minis begs the question; "How do we deploy this software". There must be a better(easier faster way) than to download, install and configure each machine separately. (This will take weeks). This software cannot, it seems, be deployed by Apple Remote Desktop. Is there anyway of downloading FC X to one MAC and cloning the image to the rest of the fleet?
So I listen to a couple podcasts on the regular and the iTunes store is not updated, basically a day behind. Anyone having similar issues or heard about this at all? FYI the two podcasts are the BS Report by Bill Simmons from ESPN and the Dan Patrick show. Not the biggest deal as I can stream them directly from the podcast websites via safari, but of course I can't get them in my iPod/iPhone till I get home.
I'm thinking of doing an upgrade and reconfiguring my storage-backup setup of my Santa Rosa MBP (mid-2007) w/ 160GBHD (almost filled). I'm pondering with the idea suggested by the Mac Performance Guide that it's the best to separate the OS & apps with the data in two different physical drives and to use a separate drive for manual backup.
=> 1 internal drive for OS & apps + 1 external drive for data/scratch volume/ time-machine backup via eSATA + 1 external drive for complete backup via eSATA
Doing so I'd need 3 new drives and lose some mobility with my data even though I mostly use the MBP like a desktop for graphics & rendering work and light video editing.
If I only get 2 drives I can save some $ for a RAM upgrade from 2GB to 4GB+.
1. What's the best set up for me? 2. How do you guys 3. How do you set up your backup solution (Time machine only VS time machine + a dedicated backup drive)?
