I'm facing some problems with App Store updates of app after upgraded from Mavericks to Yosemite.
My recently updated apps, still showing under available updates with same version.
Tried twice or thrice to update, still not resolved.
Facing problem with only iTunes, iMovie, iPhoto like apps.
Third party apps are fine.Â

I've had this problem ever since upgrading to Lion quite awhile ago. Each update of Lion promises to fix various bugs, but this one just won't go away. Why is it that applications I've just updated (and which show in Finder as the current version) continue to show as needing updates in App Store. It doesn't matter what I do, delete caches, deleting plists, etc, every time I go to the App Store to check on NEW updates, it continues to show me the ones I've already updated, and it becomes my task to sort through the list looking for those updated since the last time I checked The only way I can tell is by update date. If the date is "today", then I know I haven't got the update.

Until recently, when I downloaded an app update on my iPhone, it would automatically - without syncing - remove that same app update on iTunes and vice versa. Now it does this only when I download the update to my iTunes and then sync using USB. When I do a wired sync. I can't figure out how to make it do it again automatically.

When I try to update the apps for my macbook air all that happens is that I am asked for my password, I type it in click on update all (I have also tried clicking on individual updates), and then that circle thing appears to go round and round endlessly. Nothing gets updated. I looked to see if I could update through itunes and there are no apps or updates for my macbook there. View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had Lion since the day it came out, and this is the first time I've encountered this problem. All of the applications that I have downloaded and installed before yesterday worked perfectly. Then, out of the blue, any application that I install or update (not from the App store) refuses to launch. It either bounces forever in the dock or does nothing when it is clicked.Â
The only system changes I have made are installing Photoshop CS6 Beta and Steam. So far, I've tried:
- Permissions & Disk repair through the Lion recovery partition
- Removing and re-downloading the apps
- Running in 32-Bit modeÂ
I'm running 10.7.3, with all the latest updates installed, on a mid-2011 Macbook Pro. Restoring from a TM backup is not really a viable option currently, since my backup drive is 50 miles away and unavailable for the next week and a half

Receiving individual Final Cut X redemption codes for our fleet of MAC Minis begs the question; "How do we deploy this software". There must be a better(easier faster way) than to download, install and configure each machine separately. (This will take weeks). This software cannot, it seems, be deployed by Apple Remote Desktop. Is there anyway of downloading FC X to one MAC and cloning the image to the rest of the fleet?

So I listen to a couple podcasts on the regular and the iTunes store is not updated, basically a day behind. Anyone having similar issues or heard about this at all? FYI the two podcasts are the BS Report by Bill Simmons from ESPN and the Dan Patrick show. Not the biggest deal as I can stream them directly from the podcast websites via safari, but of course I can't get them in my iPod/iPhone till I get home.

I'm thinking of doing an upgrade and reconfiguring my storage-backup setup of my Santa Rosa MBP (mid-2007) w/ 160GBHD (almost filled). I'm pondering with the idea suggested by the Mac Performance Guide that it's the best to separate the OS & apps with the data in two different physical drives and to use a separate drive for manual backup.
=> 1 internal drive for OS & apps + 1 external drive for data/scratch volume/ time-machine backup via eSATA + 1 external drive for complete backup via eSATA
Doing so I'd need 3 new drives and lose some mobility with my data even though I mostly use the MBP like a desktop for graphics & rendering work and light video editing.
If I only get 2 drives I can save some $ for a RAM upgrade from 2GB to 4GB+.
1. What's the best set up for me?
