App Store :: Updated Apps Won't Go Away From Its Update
May 24, 2012I've had this problem ever since upgrading to Lion quite awhile ago. Each update of Lion promises to fix various bugs, but this one just won't go away. Why is it that applications I've just updated (and which show in Finder as the current version) continue to show as needing updates in App Store. It doesn't matter what I do, delete caches, deleting plists, etc, every time I go to the App Store to check on NEW updates, it continues to show me the ones I've already updated, and it becomes my task to sort through the list looking for those updated since the last time I checked The only way I can tell is by update date. If the date is "today", then I know I haven't got the update.

Mar 17, 2012Until recently, when I downloaded an app update on my iPhone, it would automatically - without syncing - remove that same app update on iTunes and vice versa. Now it does this only when I download the update to my iTunes and then sync using USB. When I do a wired sync. I can't figure out how to make it do it again automatically.

May 13, 2012I recently switched my iPhone account to a new computer, and I can't figure out how to make my computer recognize my apps on my phone. I have a new email that i use for my iTunes stuff and it works, but on my phone it doesn't recognize the new email and it shows the old email and asks for the password, but even my old password doesn't work. I'm so frustrated How can I make my phone change the old email to the new one? The only problem is for the App Store.

OS X V10.7 Lion :: Won't Launch New Or Updated Apps
Mar 24, 2012I have had Lion since the day it came out, and this is the first time I've encountered this problem. All of the applications that I have downloaded and installed before yesterday worked perfectly. Then, out of the blue, any application that I install or update (not from the App store) refuses to launch. It either bounces forever in the dock or does nothing when it is clicked.Â
The only system changes I have made are installing Photoshop CS6 Beta and Steam. So far, I've tried:
- Permissions & Disk repair through the Lion recovery partition
- Removing and re-downloading the apps
- Running in 32-Bit modeÂ
I'm running 10.7.3, with all the latest updates installed, on a mid-2011 Macbook Pro. Restoring from a TM backup is not really a viable option currently, since my backup drive is 50 miles away and unavailable for the next week and a half

ITunes :: Transfer New Apps From Iphone Without Replacing Apps Don't Want?
May 10, 2012When you sync your iPhone you sometimes get the following message:Â
Itunes has found purchased items on the iphone thats arenot present in your itunes library.Â
There are two reasons for this:
1. I have deleted apps in iTunes that I don't want, but not on the iPhone. I don't want to transfer the apps back to iTunes because I want them gone.
2. I have bought apps on the iPhone that I do want to keep. I want these transferred to iTunes.Â
So if I have both types 1 and 2 then there is no good answer. Preferably iTunes should offer to sync and choose which apps to transfer and what not to transfer. Is there a way to change this behaviour? By the time I sync I don't know what I've done so I'm usually not sure how to answer the question. Sometimes I like to bulk delete apps in iTunes--it is easier than doing it on the iPhone.

May 30, 2012Under purchases I'm getting "you have not purchased any apps." Under Itunes in the Cloud all my apps are listed as hidden but when I click "view hidden purchases" it says I do not have any hidden purchases. I have three Macs and all are experiencing the same issue so this is an account problem and not a computer software problem. The funny thing is that it's still recognizing updates.Yes, I've tried signing out and back in to view my account with no luck. The only thing I did weird last night was I disabled the Itunes store and automatic downloading on one computer. This morning when I had the above problem I put all the settings back.Â

There must be a better(easier faster way) than to download, install and configure each machine separately. (This will take weeks). This software cannot, it seems, be deployed by Apple Remote Desktop. Is there anyway of downloading FC X to one MAC and cloning the image to the rest of the fleet?

Jan 11, 2011So I listen to a couple podcasts on the regular and the iTunes store is not updated, basically a day behind. Anyone having similar issues or heard about this at all? FYI the two podcasts are the BS Report by Bill Simmons from ESPN and the Dan Patrick show. Not the biggest deal as I can stream them directly from the podcast websites via safari, but of course I can't get them in my iPod/iPhone till I get home.

Feb 21, 2009I am thinking of changing my phone plan because the data plan is just too expensive even though some of the apps that use the net are fun.
There are some apps that are obvious that do (email or safari) and others that don't (calculator) but there are others that are hard to tell. I would still have wi-fi but I want to make sure there is a 100% way to tell if an app uses the internet so that I don't get charged when not in a wi-fi area.
What do I look for?
