The printer prints copies in a very light grey colour. I would like it to give a normal black print. It is the driver. If so where do I get an update for the driver. Or what else can it be.
I just got an HP Photosmart C4250 and it doesn't print with the black cartridge. Yes, it's cartridge is properly installed inside of the printer but I really have no idea what it could be.
Is there a change the cartridge that came with in the box with it might just be defective or what?
I have documents that were created using colors for the text that I find difficult to read. They also print in those colors.
I have followedEpson's instructions to set the NX400 to print black ink only. The printer still prints in color. Possibly, Epson's drivers don't work, Or possiby, something in Lion OS is overriding the drivers.
Is there some setting in Lion OS that overrides the printer drivers? Is it not possible to print black ink only?

I do not have a mousepad with my magic mouse, because everyone I have tried just doesn't track very well at all. My wood desk seems to be perfect so I have been using that. However after a day of use I have all this black residue junk on my desk that I have to get out the spray cleaner and clean it up, which requires a lot of scrubbing. Has anyone else seen this? It seems like the black rubber pads are rubbing off on my desk....if anyone has had this problem what did you do to fix it? New Magic Mouse?
My Dell printer CN 3000 is not printing any colour with my I Mac, I understand I may need to download something to erase this problem. Can somebody point me in the right direction for the appropriate download.
I'm new to Mac OS X, but have been working with Linux for almost 9 yrs now. I have set up a Linux box with CUPS 1.3.9. I can print from the server, and from other Linux stations to that remote server. However, I can't print from a client MacBook.
I set up CUPS on the client Mac via http://localhost:631 and created a printer associated with the remote queue / printer on Linux (the URL I use on OS X is http://mylinuxserver:631/printers/hpprinter and the driver is RAW).
I have no problems sending a test page from the CUPS web interface on Mac OS X to the Linux server -- the test page gets printed OK. However, I can't see the printer I just defined from other Mac OS X apps, and neither can I see it from the Add Printer Dialog on System Preferences (it's empty).
I tried creating the printer at the Add Printer dialog, but it would neither let me specify an HTTP URL (as far as I know, I had to use the IP icon on the toolbar) nor specify "RAW". So I tried creating a "dummy" printer in the Add Printer dialog, with a basic config, and then changing it from the CUPS web GUI. This didn't work either, since when I went back to the Add Printer dialog, the printer was gone.

I'm using a MacBook, Mac OS 10.5.8. I've downloaded the driver for HP LaserJet m1319f MFP and the printer worked fine when I connect it directly to my MacBook (using USB connection). The problem is that printer is supposed to be connected to our office network users through a TP-Link Print Server (TL-PS110U). I've tried to use AppleTalk to connect to that print server but my MacBook only recognized that HP printer as a HP Fax machine and I can't print anything.
The Excel program I'm trying to print Excel 2008, Microsoft Office 2008, identifies the problem as a 'driver' issu and thus will not print the spreadsheets.
I was having problems printing from my Canon LBP6000. Print jobs remained held in the queue. I uninstalled and reinstalled the Mac CAPT Ve r340 driver from Canon's website, no improvement. The printer works fine with my Windows laptop. I found an option to remove all printers from the Print preferences section. I can't remember how I did this, but all printers were removed. I reinstalled the above driver, but now in the 'print & scan' - 'add printer' section, I have no printer options. And no idea how to get printer options.
New to using Mac's... this is an older desktop but I haven't had any issues with it yet. I went on to use it and the colour was a yellow/orange looking colour and it changes the way pictures and text look on the computer. Is there a way I can troubleshoot this problem or is it something to do with the monitor itself?
I have a 2010 MacBook Air with Lion system software. I connect to my Window XP computer at home to get on the network with no problems. I have an HP Printer and cannot figure out how to connect to via the network. My previous PC notebook was able to connect and print via the network.
My MacBook, 5,1; OS 10.6.8 can't seem to print directly using my Canon Pixma MP 640hthe
It can find the printer as an IJ device via LAN, and it will tell me that the print job is being sent and that it has printed but nothing comes out. Same result when i connected it via USB cable. Have tried installing/reinstalling drivers from Canon and even once got it to print a test page.
I have a macbook running 10.5.8 and used to be able to print to the network connected (wired) HP Photosmart 6180 printer until recently. I installed a new driver as part of the trableshooting steps and while I can print a test page and see the status of the printer, I can't print from any applications like Word. I've tried all of the t-shooting steps I can find. What am I missing. The job acts like it's going to print and then the printer queue icon bounces with a caution symbol in front of it and the queue says connecting to print on port 631.... printer busy will try connecting again in <> seconds and there is nothing printing to it and the printer is silent.
I've installed the print drivers on my MacBook Pro(Mac OS x10.7.4) for my Brothers MFC-7820N and I still can't print. The printer is connect via ethernet and wireless.
I'm trying to print to my wireless Epson Stylus NX430. I want to print in grayscale- when I print something the print que pops up and with an error saying, "looking for printer." The printer is connected to my wireless. What can I do?
My HP 4480 printer shows up on my MacAir but won't print. It is connected by a usb cable. I have tried powering off and on the printer to no avail! I have installed the latest driver for Apple Mac as well.
I bought an Epson C2800N which is a network laser printer. It is connected to my router with "ethernet" cable. I am able to connect to my printer over cable connection (when i have my MPB network connection with "ethernet" cable) but when I use the wireless connection (airport) I can't connect to my printer. It happens with my MBP17 and my bro's MBP15'.
