My Dell printer CN 3000 is not printing any colour with my I Mac, I understand I may need to download something to erase this problem. Can somebody point me in the right direction for the appropriate download.

I know there are a few discussions about this monitor but I'd like to know your specific settings.
I have this screen hooked up to my new mini and am having a hard time getting the color settings right. Did you calibrate with hardware? What are your Brightness/Contrast/RGB, etc settings.
I screwed up. Or I'm too poor to do things right. I bought a Dell E178WFP, 17" 1440 x 900 @ 60 Hz, 32-bit color external flatscreen. And I live in Egypt and can't take it back. I should have bought an Apple cinema display, but it would have been five or six times the price. The problem is its colour profile. I set it the same as my powerbook, to LCD Color, but it still looks like a PC screen, and I hate that. One of the reasons I love mac is the subtlety of the colour of the screen; it is calm and has depth, unlike PCs which always look garish and brash to my eye.
Is there anything I can do? I explored the color settings, but so far can find no way to actually set the external screen in a way that it renders like the main screen of the powerbook. Ideally, I'd have them both near enough the same. Theoretically, this should be possible, no? Given that I'm running the external off my mac, and that it's a simple LCD that can render millions of colours...........
my prof posts many x-rays in his pdf files which I need to print for class. However the black background of all these images is killing my ink supply. Is there any way I can print these pdf files without their black background? I don't see any such options in Preview, but I do have access to CS5 Design Premium if perhaps someone knows a technique through one of the programs in there.

May iMac (OS 10.7.4) has suddenly stopped printing to my Epson CX4800 printer through Airport Extreme, though my MacBook (OS 10.5.8) continues to function just fine). The iMac will print if it is connected to the printer directly via USB. The iMac continues to connect to the Internet wirelessly. I've tried resetting the printer and ensuring the driver is up to date, but no joy.

View 3 Replies View RelatedIf I use the mini display to DVI to connect to a projector, it will work if the displays are mirrored, but if I extend the display, where the projector has a higher resolution, the projector display will have artifacts, noise, and if it has a lot of pictures or videos on the screen, the display sometimes stops working. Even if i set the display resolution to match the same as the laptop, I still get noise and artifacts unless I mirror the displays.
Then if I true to use the mini port VGA to the same projector but Windows won't recognize the projector. I've seen several reports about this. I have the latest Intel graphics driver and my bootcamp partition is running Windows 7, fully updated and patched.
Lastly, this seems to only happen with my MBA with the Intel HD 3000 graphics. I have another MBA with the Nvidia 300M and the mini port to DVI works fine.

Now system profiler shows 512 MB shared VRAM, the same like it was with 8 GB RAM before the RAM upgrade. Â

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo, I've joined my home workgroup (I think?) and yet when I go to the 'network' tab in finder NOTHING shows up other than the 2 PC's whose IPs I added manually (so I could see their network drives).
I've searched and searched and cant for the life of me get this printer working.
It's a Dell 1700 printer connected to a networked XP machine, and all the PC's in my house can see/use it just fine, but for some reason on my MBP I cant at all.
I had a Dell 1100 laser printer working on my iMac (G4 ball type) using a GIMP printer. I had to reset the queue and lost the driver. I can't remember which GIMP driver I used. Also, although I have loaded the latest GIMP s/w, I can't seem to get to them in Tiger 10.4.6.
