I've been sent a word document that i need to fill in and return via email (to a pc user) using my hotmail, is this going to be possible.?
I tried writing a few basic documents in pages and neo office and sending them to my pc but they would not open. Have i missed something out?
The only alternative i see is using my Apple Mail Application and converting the file. The downside being that whilst my hotmail works perfectly as a stand alone, when syncing it with my Apple Mail I loose all of my sent items and folders.
recently when emailing word documents, the recipients are reporting that the document opens in gibberish- actually, it opens in text edit format and will not convert to word. when I email said document to myself (the same computer), the doc. opens properly- any thoughts?

When I email photos from my new MacBook, they are not attached so someone receiving can save. They are just embedded in the email text in a small version that cannot be open and enlarged or saved. How do I do this simply without having to export from Iphoto to another programme (photshop etc)?
it seems that I have lost all my documents in my documents folder on my MacBook Pro. They were there a couple of days ago, I did not delete them and no one uses the mac other than me. How can I get my documents back??? I am running Lion OS (i think)
I can email with my .me account but ever since I upgraded to Snow Leopard I can't connect my pop mail to the outgoing Comcast servers. I receive the email fine but I always get the error/choose another server message when I try to send. My web browsing also seems to be dragging a little.
I am using my [URL] email by logging on to the website, and sending emails from there.
What I want to be able to do is send folders to my work colleagues. So for example, I could send 8 photos in a folder, instead of having to time wastingly attach each photo to the email as an individual file.
This has been bugging me for a while, and after finally attempting to solve the problem myself - and failing miserably, i thought i'd put myself at your mercy to find the answer.
I have an issue with emailing photos via mail. When i drag a photo from iphoto it inserts it into the new message but the picture takes up 3 /4 of the screen. When I email that picture to a PC it comes out the same way - so to view you have to save it and open it via the default viewer or you can view as is but you have to use the mouse to swim around in the gargantuan image.
I know you can send it as an icon - but i don;t want that as i like to have the picture displayed. I know you can change the size of the image by clicking down the bottom right - but that changes the resolution...i don't want to do that.
Is there a way to shrink the size of your images whilst maintaining full quality?
Where is the choice to use Entourage in ilife 11 , using iphoto for sending pictures . the old ilife was so much better thought out and laid out , wish i had not installed it so soon.
I am having difficulty emailing a 32.8 MB AVI file. When ever I compress it, it doesn't change in size, and it is somehow is over the 34MB emailing limit.
I probably still have my PC hat on but here is my problem.
In Address Book on my IMac, I have set up numerous cards with name address phone numbers email addresses, notes etc. Each card has AT LEAST ONE email address but can have up to THREE email addresses (home, work, other).
I have taken 13 cards and created a GROUP
Two questions:
1. Can I email the address card or copy of the card to an email address for review and updating?
2. Can I send an email to ALL OF THE EMAIL ADDRESS in the GROUP?
I am thinking that to do this (#2) I might have to set up individual address cards for each email address for each group member--yuk. I just want to send to home, office and other by just clicking on JONES or SMITH or better yet the distribution list I have set up.
when i attempt to attach a photo to an email thru I photo is there a way to change the size of the attachment /photo for all outgoing mail ? I looked in I-photo preferences and didn't find any thing ? sorry I'm old and this is all very confusing to me
I do a lot of Mail Contents Of This Page or emailing of webpages to my friends. Mail often crashes now when I try to do this. I sent a bug report to Apple already.
I have scanned a document on my Canon Printer. The size is very large about 14 Megabytes.I do not know how to reduce the size so that I can send it via Mail. I have searched HELP but have not as yet found an answer. One suggestion was that in my Mail window there is an option to reduce the size of the attachment but I see no such option in my email.
I tried to email a video I recorded in photobooth. However when mail opens I get a 'missing plugin' message in the mail instead of the video? I read elsewhere that this could be to do with Java preferences?
Solution to making Mavericks email the received faxes?
I am using a USB Modem. I can receive faxes. They go into the Faxes folder I designated. I have the box checked to forward the received faxes to an email address (as I did in Mountain Lion), but the faxes do not get forwarded.
I am having trouble emailing photos from iphoto through Yahoo. I get all the way to Send, then I am told my Yahoo password is invalid. Dead end. What am I doing wrong?
I have created a "newsletter" using Mac iwork Pages publication. The newsletter includes text and pictures. I would like to email it to over a hundred people so need it to be a small file. At the moment it is approx 3.2 MB. I tried compressing it to zip but it is still way too large. I downloaded Graphic Converter but cannot work out how to use it with Pages. Or is there an easier way?
When I send an email with 2 or more docs attached, the bottom half of the email disappears when opened in Outlook! Any tips how to prevent this? It only happens when I send to an Outlook user - the same person can view the whole email on their phone. This has happened a couple of times recently.
I found xml files in my documents. Did these come with my Mac? What are they? In their info it says they were created Dec. 31, 1979, which is way before I got my Mac.
The print to pdf function is great, but I've noticed that for longer documents it divides the file into 3 separate sections/documents. This is annoying.
Is there anyway around this within the operating system, or is there other software like "cute pdf writer" for the mac . It seems that "cute" was only written for PCs since Macs tend to not need it.
Is there a program for mac that can do this? Because i'm taking an online course from BYU and when i need to print the cover sheet it downloads as a .cfm document
