when i attempt to attach a photo to an email thru I photo is there a way to change the size of the attachment /photo for all outgoing mail ? I looked in I-photo preferences and didn't find any thing ? sorry I'm old and this is all very confusing to me
View 4 RepliesThis has been bugging me for a while, and after finally attempting to solve the problem myself - and failing miserably, i thought i'd put myself at your mercy to find the answer.
I have an issue with emailing photos via mail. When i drag a photo from iphoto it inserts it into the new message but the picture takes up 3 /4 of the screen. When I email that picture to a PC it comes out the same way - so to view you have to save it and open it via the default viewer or you can view as is but you have to use the mouse to swim around in the gargantuan image.
I know you can send it as an icon - but i don;t want that as i like to have the picture displayed. I know you can change the size of the image by clicking down the bottom right - but that changes the resolution...i don't want to do that.
Is there a way to shrink the size of your images whilst maintaining full quality?
When I email photos from my new MacBook, they are not attached so someone receiving can save. They are just embedded in the email text in a small version that cannot be open and enlarged or saved. How do I do this simply without having to export from Iphoto to another programme (photshop etc)?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI seem to having a problem with Photo Booth thats kinda weird. I take pictures with Photo Booth, but once they are taken they dont show up in the little row on the bottom. They are in the folder in Finder, but they don't show up so I can view them in-program. Just an odd thing I thought I would see if anyone has a fix for.Nothing major, just a minor annoyance.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo, my problem is very simple. I like organizing my things by tagging them. I like photos. I have a lot of photos that I took in 2 different external drivers. I can't combine those two. I can't put all of my pictures in my laptop. I want to organize those pictures. I want to put an driver in my usb and the app/software just organizes the pictures from that driver, than, when I plug in another driver, I want the pictures from the last driver out and the pictures from the connected driver in.

I take pictures with my iPhone 4s and they go to my iPad just great but I only get about 50% of them to my MacBook Pro. They are radomly not there. There will be five or six that are there then 5 or 6 that are black no photo. All the warythrough the 200 photos I took on my latest trip? Is there any reason for this random messing up of photos? Is there anyway of getting them on the MacBook short of syncing my iPhone 4s through iPhoto? I am not liking this Photo Stream right now to many missing photos.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIt was good that Apple added the much needed "Delte" Featuer to Photo Stream. The next issue that came a long for me is: Photo Stream still saves all photos I take into my iPhoto library.
So, even though I choose "Delte" in Photo Stream there is still a copy saved in my iPhoto library.
Usually it creates an event and names it "May '12 Photo Stream" or something similar.
Then I again have to go into this event and delte the photos a second time.
Is there a way to disable this feature?
I would like to manually add photos from Photo Stream to my library.

Anytime I try to use Aperture to Import my photos from the Iphone to a folder in my Mac, Aperture will import some photos to the folder I Chose, but other go only to the iCloud Photo Stream...
I have just tried to import only I few photos from the camera Roll, and it imported as it should, but when I chose to delete the photos from the camera roll it deleted all the photos...

I am using Aperture. Photos taken with my Ipad are downloaded through iCloud to my MBP. They used to be transferred automatically to a Photo Stream project and associated to a month. This stopped working. Everything is checked ok in the Aperture preferences...

I can not scroll down to read thefags page when on the site either. I had to use my pc to open the site and work. I have also opened a trouble ticket on the site to see if they could offer any assistance.

It's a one time deal so I don't want to pay for it, I just have images of artwork and their respective placards that I'd like to be able to put side by side as one image so it's easier to follow. I can email with my .me account but ever since I upgraded to Snow Leopard I can't connect my pop mail to the outgoing Comcast servers. I receive the email fine but I always get the error/choose another server message when I try to send. My web browsing also seems to be dragging a little.

What I want to be able to do is send folders to my work colleagues. So for example, I could send 8 photos in a folder, instead of having to time wastingly attach each photo to the email as an individual file.
Where is the choice to use Entourage in ilife 11 , using iphoto for sending pictures . the old ilife was so much better thought out and laid out , wish i had not installed it so soon.
