MacBook Air :: Thin Stripe Of Bleeding On Top And Kind Of Two Blobs On The Bottom Corners?
Mar 4, 2009All the screens I have seen have at least a stripe of bleeding on top and some screens have more bleeding on the bottom in addition to that!I just opened my machine today with week5 production and it has a very thin (thinner than others) stripe of bleeding on top and kind of two blobs on the bottom corners.As for the lines (for the curious ones) they are there but this is the best screen I have ever seen since it is way harder to notice them compared to the rest. It is a model 9C90.
Would I return it you might ask, well, I am kind of sick of waiting more for a MBA since this is my second machine since the release of revB so I am kind of 50-50 now on keeping it.BTW, I bought this from Amazon so I was wondering if any of your returned a MBA due to the lines/bleeding issue and got a full refund from them.

OS X :: Mouse Was Still Kind Of Laggy?
Mar 19, 2008Alright so I bought the Logitech V470 Bluetooth mouse for my MB. It's kind of small but I like it.
Anyways, I had the Logitech drivers and everything was going decent, but the mouse was still kind of laggy. Now after reading a thread on a Logitech mouse, everyone said Logitech's drivers were horrible. So I uninstalled everything that said Logitech Control Center. I didn't get everything though, because it still says Logitech Control Center connected whenever I connect my mouse. Is there anyway to get rid of it? I can't find anything about Logitech anywhere on my system.
Now to my second problem, the mouse pointer lags! I go and try to click the back button and it takes me a couple tries every now and then because it over shoots it and then lags back. It's really annoying.
Is there anything I can do about that?I might add that I'm using an external monitor.I'm thinking of just buying a new mouse, but that's another $50...

May 13, 2009I do not think my 10.5.7 updated correctly. I have a unibody. When I click on my battery icon it does not show the different profiles. I updated my brothers MBP (Santa Rosa) and he DOES have the profiles in the task bar. The main problem here is that his installed with no problems. MINE, on the other hand, was installing, it freaked out, and I had to force restart it. When it restarted, I had 10.5.7. Is there a way to kind of uninstall it and then reinstall it?

Mar 31, 2012I imported a video in to iTunes, and it came in as a movie. It's an educational video, so I thought it would be nice to set its media type to iTunes U. I did that, then clicked iTunes U in my left hand pane, and the video did not appear. I created a smart playlist where media kind = iTunes U, and there it was. So I figured I'd change it to Podcast. I changed it, and it didn't show up under Podcasts, (but again does appear under smart playlist). So I figured I'd change the media kind back to Movie, but now that media kind is no longer available from the dropdown list! My only choices are Music, Podcast, iTunes U, Audiobook, Voice Memo.How can I change the media kind to movie so it appears in my movies?

Nov 2, 2010I am having a problem with keeping all of my folders arranged by Kind. I have gone into the tasks toolbar in finder. From there I go to Show View Options, then I click choose Arrange by Kind, and then click use as defaults. This does not work, because when I go into a different folder or if I create a folder inside a different folder (that I made), the folder is not arranged by Kind. I have also tried using alt and going to the task toolbar to Keep Arranged By. However both options are only arranging the folder that I am in. I want every folder to be arranged this way.

If I sort by kind, the files are grouped according to kind, but the names are mixed up. If I sort by name, all file types and folders are sorted according to name. I like the column view because directory structure can be seen easily.

Aug 31, 2014I have never used iCloud, and would like to know: what kind of documents can be stored on iCloud? I use apps such as Painter X3, and would like to store those projects. Is it possible? Also, how do I know what I have stored, can I eliminate it from iCloud when I choose, is it available for download. I really don't understand the whole concept. When attempting to sign in and use iCloud, I was given only a couple Apple apps to use for document upload. They were apps such as Pages, Preview, etc..
Is this not an external storage and backup resource?

May 17, 2009i just bought a clamshell ibook on ebay for $90, quite a bargain i think. its 366mhz, 320mb ram, only problem is the 10gb hard drive. i know its upgradable. the 9.5mm UltraATA-66 hard drive which is what i read it has,dont really go over 10gb, or at least i cant find any that do. the ones i find are very expensive. i see some clamshells on ebay upgraded to 20 or 30gb, what kind of hard drives do those people use? i know it takes a lot of disassembly to do it too, if someone could point me to a guide to doing that it would be most good.

Occasionally I need to make changes to these rules but they only display in the order in which I created them, which is a PITA. Is there any way of changing the list order, e.g. by name etc.?

Mac Mini :: 2011 Will Not Restore Via Internet Restore?
Apr 8, 2012So here's my question:I've owned my share of MacBook Pro's, so I'm somewhat familiar, but not an expert. I got my mini last Friday from cowboom (a Best Buy affiliate), and since it's a pre-owned, it only came with the power cable and HDMI to DV-I adapeter. For those that ordered these, a majority of the people posted that it did not come with an OS, but the Internet Restore option fixed the trick. So I powered it on and got the flashing folder with the question mark. No OS. I did the Internet recovery and ran it through all the way to the the reinstall Lion screen. When asking what drive to install it on, there were no drives. I closed the installer and ran the disk utility and the only available drive was some basic drive that had a capacity less than 2GB. No other drives. I booted from my Lion that's on USB, but there's no drive to install it on. Any suggestions? I checked the warranty and the warranty cannot be verified. Some buyers said they had warranty from 8 months and up. One said his warranty showed starting from the day he restored his mac. I'm guessing because it was never registered I made an appointment tomorrow to take it to apple but is there something that can help avoid the trip?
