MacBook :: Aperture On A New White MacBook?
Mar 1, 2009I know the new, white MacBooks have the same processor and graphics card of the unibody ones -- and I'm able to run Aperture on those without problem. But on the white model.

View 4 RepliesUsing Aperture I converted my album to b&w after I thought I had copied the colour album. When I tried undo the b&w it would only do it for 10 of the 44 photos, then the option to undo wasn't offered..how do I undo the other 34 pictures from B&W to colour?

Created a slide show, Then a request for Black and white, No problem. Now I need to take the slide show back to colour, And the only way i can find is to go back to original un doing all the work I done in raw format. I saved everything in k peg. But the works had gone in the raw files, We need a way to step back after the presses on raw. From black and white back to colour, without having to revert to originals.

I've begun to notice a ring, roughly three inches in diameter, in the middle of my Air, Rev C, Screen. It is a white ring, a couple of millimeters thick, that I can see best behind an all white screen, i.e. a blank page of a word processing document.

Anyone seen anything like this before. I can actually see part of it right on the white of the page I am typing in this thread.
I noticed that Aperture 3 is priced really, REALLY low on the Mac App Store. So I made the decision to buy it. But... I already have Aperture 2 installed. So what happens when I buy Aperture 3? Does it recognize that I have Aperture 2 installed, and upgrade it, or will it install Aperture 3 alongside Aperture 2?

So last December my laptop got smashed and everything works except for the backlit screen. In fact I can still use this laptop it is just extremely hard since the screen does not light up. The person that smashed it ended up buying me a new laptop so I have this beat up (and I mean the shell is destroyed) laptop with quite a lot of functioning parts.
Now a few weeks ago my girlfriends Grandad spilled a beer on his brand new 2010 Macbook. The logic board is shot so it is almost cheaper for him to buy a brand new laptop.
Would it be possible for me to take the logic board out of my 2008 Black Macbook and put it into his 2010 White Macbook?
Is the white one the same size as the 13" aluminum that now went pro?Pretty much, I want to know if I buy a case for the original 13" Metal uMB from InCase, will it fit on this plastic one? They don't have blue for this, but they have blue for the original aluminum one.

I'm looking to spend some cash on a new camera. I'm extremely interested in the profession and I'm looking for the best dslr camera to use with aperture. I'm willing to spend 1500 on this camera.
I am absolutely surprise how well both these programs run on my MBA. Surprisingly, both of these programs are running better than the more powerful mac mini. It's probably the power of the SSD.

I'm considering an external hard drive to house my photos and videos, getting them off my hard drive. My macbook pro is SO SLOW that it's making me crazy and I think this is a place to start.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a 2008 13" white, plastic MacBook. Its a bit slow, but adequate. Thinking of selling it and paying the difference to get the 11" MacBook Air. I've heard it is similar in speed and has the same processor.
The main problem I have with my current MacBook is that its heavy - I need something lightweight to easily carry to school and class for note-taking and such.
How is the Air better or worse, and would I be losing anything significantly by replacing the 08 plastic MB with a MBA?

I have an aperture library with approx 5000 images, 116 gb on my MacBook pro and I want to move them all to my new iMac 5k. All applications are up to date. I'm using Yosemite and Aperture 3.6. I love Aperture 3. I really do. It can do many things that take much longer to do in Photoshop. However, Aperture 3 COULD NOT BE SLOWER. Does anyone else experience this? I feel like I'm switching back to Vista every time I open it. It makes me want to throw my Macbook Pro at the wall. Also, ever since I installed Aperture 3 on Mac, the REST of my Mac is much slower, even when Aperture 3 isn't even in use. I don't understand it.I really hope that an update addresses this issue.

I have a late 2009, white unibody MacBook which is 7 months old, and I have been noticing that the battery life is getting less and less, and am rather confused.I reset the SMC as per Apple instructions, and then followed the battery calibrating guide to the letter from apple.com, and tonight it seems to have lasted... 3.5 hrs! Hardly the quoted 7 hours that Apple spec, and I am simply doing light web browsing, nothing else.Am I doing something wrong? The machine sits connected to magsafe 90% of the time, but I cannot envisage that would cause any problem, as it knows when it is charged, so afaik no more current can get to the battery to damage it
View 15 Replies View RelatedWhen I go to front row, all my video content plays sound, but the picture is just a pure white screen (shows the slider to move chapters, etc., but the screen is just white).
Any ideas for solutions? I did google searches, etc., to no avail. I have a MP (not early 08), which I upgraded the graphics card to a 2600XT, and it's running Leopard.

View 5 Replies View RelatedHas anyone experienced this? After doing a thread search I could only find people talking about cracks in the palmrest, which I have thankfully -not- experienced.
Basically the way I'd naturally rest my palms while I type is making for a really annoying experience. Say I'm typing anything (a URL, an IM, etc) and my palms will make a silent "click" happen and before I know it I've accidentally deleted everything I just typed or I've changed windows and made something happen unintended. I'm holding my palms in the air right now as I type.
We have a 2007 white MacBook. It's connected to an HP all in one color laser printer, but we also want to connect a second laser printer. We've tried both an HP and a Samsung, which the boxes said were compatible but when hooked up and we try to print we keep getting a Printing Stopped message, even when we click on "Start Printing".
