MacBook Air :: There Is A Play Between The Computer And The Screen, See Photos Below?
Aug 1, 2009
I just got a new macbook air but there is a play between the computer and the screen, see photos below.[URL]Do any of you have the same problem? Should i ship it in for repair?
While downloading .jpg photos Raw files from Nikon D60 into iPhoto 9.5.1 from my Sandisk SD card, lost some photos on my comp. IOS 10.9.4 where can it be?
it is not in my iPhoto. or in Trash. while downloading screen flickered i saw them but they disappeared.
Info: MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.4), Iphoto 9.5.1
I am trying to transfer some pics and short videos from my camera. When I plug in the memory card with the card reader into the USB nothing happens. I cannot find what tab on this computer to get downloads started.
I hear the computer physically turn on, but a blank screen remains. I recently purchased a new battery for the computer for the battery status read replace soon about a week ago. I sense that maybe there is a shortage in the wiring that connects what shows on the screen to the computer, but I'm not completely sure.
I tried uploading pictures with my s.card and then I plugged in my back up storage disk to transfer pictures and then my computer stopped working as if it was overloaded or something.... I tried forcing quit but that didn't help any. So I just shut it down in hopes that when it restarted it would work but now when it restarts the login screen comes up and after I type my password it just stays on snow leopard default screen(purple sky) and stays there.
Computer starts (keyboard lit, music plays, caps lock light on), but no screen. I need to open and close 2 - 30 times before the screen will turn on. Once on, the computer works perfectly. I've tried PRAM and safemode reset.
I've made a slideshow (about 24 mins) in iMovie and 'shared' it onto my desktop. I've tried to burn it to dvd (+R) lots of different ways but all failed. I have iDVD on my MAC and am using Mavericks. I'm putting it down to 'pilot error' or possibly my age!
Info: iMac (21.5-inch Mid 2011), OS X Mavericks (10.9.4), iDVD pre-installed
a large screen monitor (21 or 24') to use with my mac pro 15' for editing photo's? I am a photographer..i looked at Imac - looks great but glossy screen and i read not best for photo editing for this reason and color calibration...
When browsing the internet and zoom on photos the screen goes black. This does not happen on my 13" Retina display i5 processor 256GB SSD 8GB RAM, so I do not believe the problem to be my Thunderbolt display.
I have fully updated my software, to ensure I am not missing any essential hot fixes. The Mac was rebuilt on Thursday, so not running any 3rd party software except Microsoft Office.
Info: MacBook Air, OS X Mavericks (10.9.4), connected 27" Thunderbolt display
Is there a simple way for me to copy my photos in my Iphoto so that I can put them on my wife's macbook? I want to keep them on mine also but she is wanting them too. I could just download to her computer from the camera they were taken on but they would not be edited and I want her to have the edited version.
I have iphoto08 on a couple of computers and just got a new Mac with iphoto09. In 08, there was a button for mobileme in the preferences window and it would update all the mobileme photos as well as put them in my events. I do not see that button in 09 and did not know if there was a way to be able to put the photos in the iphoto library on the new computer without having to download them from the mobileme site.
I am about to go to college and I would like a way to play my PS3 while there. I'm not sure wether to buy a tv or just use Elgato Eye Tv hybrid. Does anyone know how efficient this is and if i can use my HDMI cable with it?
I'm not sure if i'm suppose to post it here sorry if im not suppose to anyway. I was wondering if i can play a psp on my macbook pro screen and record it using a screen recorder. I've seen many video on "playing psp on PC", but havn't seen a mac one.
I'm trying to switch photos from my phone onto my computer easily and my mac does not recognixe my iPhone.emailing myself all the photos - which is time consuming.
I have always in the past been able to sync m photos from iphone 4 to my computer. For last few days, I can no longer do this. What steps to take to make this possible.
on my old white 13" MB when I pick up the computer to take it to another room with the screen open it would never move back and forth. When I would tilt it at a 45% angle it wouldn't move. Now I just purchased a new 15" MBP (sweet btw). My only issue seems to be that when I tilt the computer 45% or more the screen almost closes. Is it a weak hinge? Can that be tightened at an apple store (I am lucky and have 4 that are within about 35 to 40 minutes here in NJ)?
I have a Early-2008 Model MacBook with a... I think it's a 19" ACER widescreen monitor hooked up dua-screen. Works marvelously, but I want it to play my movies and games, preferably without the laptop screen going black. Currently, playing a fullscreen game has the external screen go black and it plays on the laptop.
I'm booting an iMac from an external hard drive. WoW is on that hard drive and I was wondering since WoW has a reputation of slowing down computers, if I play while on the external drive will it still degrade performance of the computer when it's booted off the internal hard drive? ANd if it does, how noticeable will it be?
I have hundreds of .avi movies on my computer and play them through vlc. I would like to put them in itunes to organize them but handbraking them would take years, and I have them on an external drive and putting them in itunes would add them to my computer's hd.
I just want to organize all my movies (mp4's, .avi's, etc..) even if it means just seeing a poster of each in a thumbnail instead of just seeing a title with the same .avi icon. I would love to change a thumbnail in finder to a movie poster but I don't think it is possible.
I have seen apps like yFlicks and Movie Jukebox but they don't play .avi's and they aren't what I'm looking for.
I just got my computer back from having the hard drive replaced and now every time I try to put a DVD in, it spins for a minute and then just spits the dvd right back out. They play fine on the dvd player and ps3 but not the imac.
I am currently running Mavericks 10.9.4 and iPhoto 8.1.2 on my MacBook.
I'm waaay behind on organizing my pictures unfortunately, so I haven't worked in iPhoto for a while. When I try to export pictures to the computer it "quits unexpectedly". Hmmm, maybe I should see if there's an update. OK, so the only option it gives me is to spend $14.99 for iPhoto 9.5.1?!?!?
No more free upgrades for something I already own?
I just recently got my mac. Its been s struggle but I love it! Few problems though. Firstly, how do I put movies from my computer onto a dvd? Make up a dvd that can play in a dvd player. Its a blu ray player, im not sure if that makes a diff, think I just have to check what types of files it plays and change them accordingly. So how do i burn a movie onto a dvd?
Other question, Im having a problem with my wireless internet. My macbook works fine everywhere else and nobody else i live with have any problems. Just my computer in my house. The internets REALLY slow. I rang NTL and they said its your computer, so rang apple and they did some tests and said its your network so I rang NTL again and they gave me a number for netgear, the people who make the router. They were NO help, you can't call them from a mobile phone and I dont have a housephone. Is there anything I can do?
Purchased songs from the iTunes Store that I have played for months are now unplayable because I am not authorized to listen to them. This just happened all of a sudden. I was presented with a dialogue box saying that I have authorized the maximum amount of computers (5). How did this happen and how do I go about fixing it? How would I de-authorize a computer?
