Your startup disk is almost full. You need to make more space available on your startup disk by deleting files. How can I delete duplicate files??? Don't want to delete files by files... folders by folders...
View 1 Replies View RelatedIt says 12.6 GB of movies; I don't know where these movies are. I don't have any downloaded. How can I find them to delete them? I have also deleted all of my photos except three and it still says 11.44 GB. That docen't seem right either.Â
When I search my computer, files in Dropbox come up. But I thought those weren't included in my computer? (There are no movies on there, either.) I can't even download an update.

My MacBook Pro gets a message when I first start up on my log in page. When I then go to log in i just get a blank grey screen. Any clues as to what I can do. I've been downloading quite a lot of TV shows recently from ITunes and was going to move them to a external HD but I cant see anything.Â

View 2 Replies View RelatedSomething is going bad with my computer. Recently I have been getting the startup disk is almost full, but it is not. I have over a gig left and have tossed a bunch of stuff. I feel it was an email or something that was downloaded that is causing it to eat up all the memory. I have also done the Disk Utility and fixed it a couple times in a row. what is happening or what I can do to put my finger on it?Â
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a message saying my Startup Disk is full on my MacBook Pro. Saying 0 GB free. At the moment we use Dropbox for most files, there are a lot of emails in my inbox but apart from that I don't understand why no space is left

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just got a message that my startup disk is full. It happened while I was importing some videos. I do have a lot of videos on there. It's my daughter's macbook, but I use it for video editing. Is the startup disk the hard drive on these things? I'm not completely used to Macs yet, I was planning on deleting some of the older video files that are no longer needed, but should my daughter delete photos, etc. too?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have deleted everything on my computer except for my music and I don't see how it could possibly be full. It won't let me download anything. I just bought a movie on Itunes and i can't download it. What do I do?

The disk utility shows only 262 MB of free space available. I have 44 GB of space occupied by the "other" category. What is in this category and how can I free up some space? I can't even download necessary updates because I have no space left!

My startup disk is full, and can't even get in to anything to delete stuff, how can I get in and move things to my external hard drive (which is what I was doing when it somehow became full)? All that happens is I reset the computer, when I turn it on it says the start up disk is full, I put in my password and the screen just stays grey. I also noticed before I started moving things that the "other" storage of my 60GB macbook air was over 30GB, but not sure how that could be/what it is. Mainly just concerned with getting the photos and things from my computer to my portable hard drive
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm getting a message my startup disk is full. My macbook air is not even a year old and when I check my storage status, my media, applications and files make up for less than a tenth of my content. However, I have nearly 110GB of "Other" type stuff that is occupying my disk. I have had no luck searching for the source of these "other" files in my Finder and all the Youtube videos and internet question responses have not helped me.
