MacBook Air :: IMessage Confirmation Email Not Being Sent
Aug 28, 2014
I'm trying to set up iMessage to be able to send and receive using a gmail account. I enter the information and it says email sent for validation. I have also resent the email. I never get an email in that account to validate. I've checked the spam folder too.
I ordered a macbook pro and an iPod touch yesterday and didn't get a confirmation email so I cancelled. I contacted the bank today and everything is in order so I ordered again and it's been 2 hours and I didn't get the confirmation email yet. Does it usually take this long? I've never bought on the online apple store before. I got the "thank you for your order" thing and everything so I'm sure they accepted the credit card. I'm not sure why the email is taking forever and it's getting me to be a little edgy.
I am trying to print out two eTickets from the American Airlines confirmation email I received. However it will not print the full email. If you know the standard AA email it is only the top and bottom halves of the email, not the middle Itinerary part. I am using 10.6 and an Epson R800 printer.
My iMessage recently stopped working. When I attempt to log back in it tells me "your apple ID (email address) cannot be used to set up imessage at this time" then gives me a code to share with Apple support. (See screen shot).
My Browsers are not able to access the Internet after returning from sleep. This effects other browsers (Firefox & Chrome) as well. The connectivity from mail and iMessage is working fine. I am also hardwired and not using WiFi.
I did a fresh install of Mac OSX on it and then booted it up from the CD again and did a zero-out. I left about halfway through and when I came back I never had any confirmation that it was done so I did another zero out. Again, I didn't receive confirmation when it finished but I did watch it finish that time. I guess I'm just paranoid that someone will be able to get something off of it because I used it for so many years and have so many passwords. So, my question is..is there anything else I should do prior to shipping it off or am I in the clear even if it falls into the wrong hands on ebay?
I was putting a fresh install of OS X on a friend's MacBook. I put in the disk, it asked me to restart, and I went to Disk Utility (on restore disk) to zero out the data on the hard disk. I clicked partition (since he had a boot camp partition) to 1 partition and clicked apply. Here's where things go kinda weird. The confirmation dialogue comes up and the whole screen froze. I waited for a few minutes but nothing. I then held the power button until it shuts down. Reboot, and there's this beeping noise. It beeps 2 times, stops, and then beeps 3 times. I searched Google, which pulled up entries like bad RAM or something, but my RAM wad upgraded a long time ago, really rare coincidence that it failed while Disk Utility (off the restore disk) froze. I need to install the OS.
I just got a new macbook pro, and when I save documents....It just saves. Is there anyway for me to turn on any sound confirmation so that when i save a file it beeps or gives off some kind of sound so i know that it saves?
creating and then removing a Win7 partition, restoring the initial single-OSX partition layout does not have any impact on my OSX installation, right? There should be no risk for my OSX installation, but I want to have your confirmation before proceeding with the installation of Win7 on my MBP.
I play PC games and I LOVE mac os.... I have a macbook pro right now which I am selling. The reason I ask about Kanex is because if the new iMacs dont come with a great graphics card, I am thinking of buying the lower end imac and connecting my pc to it for the gaming aspect and using the imac for everything else I do.. "Logic, photoshop bla bla" I just dont want to be stuck at 720p and I cant find any real confirmation if I output my radeon 4870 with HDMI if I can choose a crazy res the imac screen support over the Kanex adapter. I am hoping to god the new iMacs come with a 58XX series card but ya know how that goes.. All I play is Team Fort 2 which should be out for mac soon.
I installed but I cant send any messages to my friend's iPhone. Am I need something more?? I use macbook air 11" lion 10.7.3... what should I do after installation? the program say ".... is not available for iMessage". how can I make available my friend's iPhone?
Usually when I turn my computer on or open it back up & log in, iMessage will automatically log me in and show my buddy list. For some reason, sometimes it won't & whatever I try to do (like change my status from offline to available) will not work. I have tried restarting iMessage multiple times & still it won't work.
I just uploaded the new software to my older MacBook and i have "imessage" now. when i try and send out a text it says "messages couldnt send message to "number@gmail.com" " i have friends that use there macbooks to text and i have tried sending them messages and it wont work. I am signed in on Facetime but still not sure how to set up "imessage"
when I try to send a message to any contact, it says that contact is not registered. However, I can send him/her imessage from my iPhone. I have already tried to reinstall Os X, to sign in and sign out.
I decided to test out the IMessage app on my laptop, but when i try to sign into it using my Apple I.D it says that “Your Apple I.D XXX can’t be used to set up an account right now” and then tells me to contact iMessage Support, I can’t call Apple Care because my warranty is up and i’ve tried everything i can think of. It’s the correct I.D and password. When the message pops up and i click contact support - it sends me to a page with a verification code and says they dont have enough info to set up an account.
When I try to use iMessage on my MacBook, I cannot message anyone. I get the error message that "(phone number) is not registered with iMessage." I can iMessage the same person using my phone, but for some reason it will not work on my computer.
I have already tried the logout/re-login fix, and cleared my message folder. Phone and computer are signed into the same account & phone number.
Info: MacBook Pro with Retina display, iOS 7.1.2, iMessage
Cannot log into imessage. it was working fine before, and i had turned on my mac. when i logged in, imessage told me to log in, in which i did with my Apple ID password. However, i keep getting a message saying that i cannot log in at the moment, but I know that there is nothing wrong with my network connection. I've tried a couple times more, but i keep getting the same message.
When I try to log into iMessage from my Macbook Pro (OS X Mavericks Version 10.9.4) the loading symbol appears for as long as I leave it and never actually logs in. I have read every solution to this and tried everything, from deleting the .plist, to turning on firewall and adding iMessage and IMAgent, to changing my apple ID, resetting JAVA, forcing quit IMAgent on Activity Monitor. Nothing has worked, still the same problem every time. I have tried to delete iMessage and see if I can reinstall it somehow but it won't let me do that either.
trying to set-up iMessage (Messages version 8.0) on my new MacBook Air iOS Yosemite and it keeps saying "Could not sign in. Please check your network connection and try again." What can i do to get this to work so i can connect it to my iPhone?
