I canceled my cable. My wife and I use iTunes subscriptions and netflix to watch tv and the free ota channels. I have a appletv and I plan on selling it and buying a new Mac mini to hook up to my plasma for the upcoming NFL season. I was planning on using the NFL game access option and getting video and audio.

i just bought the game Spore and i am having troubles with it. 1st after i download the cd an update pops up for the game back to back to back to etc. and its the same update. Then when i run the game everything works fine (the begining cut scenes) but when the game is about to start it cuts off and an error popup comes up.

I want to setup a home network around a Mac Mini Server. I want to access this server via a 27" Apple Thunderbolt Display w. mouse+keyboard combo.I also want to be able to connect my macbook to this Display however (using thunderbolt).I would like to be able to connect this MBP (thinking about the new 15" rMBP) such that it will retrieve my data (mainly photos) from the central server vault (on the Mac Mini server) and in the same time output the video to the Display.
Motivation: I have a huge photo database which I want to store on the storage disk(s) attached to the server (for now the MM's internal disks) and not on the MacBook .... I more or less only use the (powerfull) MBP as the workstation and want to have the possibility to have the output also displayed on a large display (the 27" ATD).Maybe it is a stupid & trivial question I am asking here but I am a bit confused about the possibilities of connecting devices via Thunderbolt.
New to the forum and already I need some help. Here's my tale of woe-I purchased a mac mini on eBay and it came with no disks and I don't have the user name or password and apparently now can't get them from the seller. I did a google search and have tried getting into the single user mode (Command + s) and I end up on a page with a black background that runs through prompts and ends with a message that says 'initalization complete.' I have tried typing in the commands suggested in my google search (sh/etc/rc) and it comes back with a 'file unknown' prompt.

My goal is to create an FTP server that will host all these files that I can access remotely and let friends and family access it. I pretty much have it all sorted out I just wanted to check with some people on here. To run it I will be using a program called PureFTPd to manage the server and I can create accounts and manage them all through this application. Does anyone have a better way for me to do this or an alternate application that is better, And also I have connected to my mac book pro remotely using the built in FTP feature and PureFTP so yer, Does anyone else have a better idea for me running a server?

I booted in asfe mode still stuck, repair permissions using the backup hd "10.7.2 after pressing shift key" did no fix!

On iPad(7.1.2) Settings -> security & privacy, only Penultimate, Skitch and Evernote are allowed to access my calendar.Â

When I hooked up the external drive I've been using for Time Machine to the MBP, I went through the setup for Time Machine and it created a backup of the MBP. That is the only backup now showing when I enter Time Machine. How do I access the previous backups from the Mac Mini through Time Machine? If I open the external hard drive from the finder, I can see the backups on the drive.
