a magnetic exchangeable head screw driver long enough to reach the torx screws that hold the CPU heatsink onto the logicboard? According to this guy, the shaft needs to be at least 20 centimeters, or about 8 inches. I'm not having much luck. Help me out?edit: THIS interchangeable head screwdriver looks like it will work, and it has a magnet in it, so that is a good thing. I'm just not thrilled with the $17 shipping.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI realize this probably wouldn't work due to the different smc controllers, but I'm wondering if the nice quieter 17'' mbp cooling fans would fit in the 15'' mbp's. Does anyone know if the fan sizes are the same? I know that the model #'s are only one letter off. The 17' mbp fans are quieter than the 15 due to having fewer blades(?) or a different design, and I think they actually spin at a lower speed. This would probably be super dangerous as the 17'' fans might not be compatible with or do a good enough job of cooling the 15'' mbp effectively, but it would be a cool mod. Anyone have info on the feasibility?

I have 2 G4 powerbooks (one mine and one my wife's). One is a 1GHz 17" and the other is a 1.67GHz 17". now on the 1 Ghz i have a row of keys that randomly does not work. on the other the screen is shot. my question is, will the screen on the 1GHz fit on the 1.67 without any problems?

So I have an old iBook (12" G3) that I painted black. I want to replace the keys on it with dark keys. I heard that the Titanium Powerbook (400-500Mhz-ish) had keys that would work interchangeably with this iBook. Is this true?

The system tells us "No Driver Update Needed for this System", and will not allow driver to be installed.
