Been playing with it all day in OSX and initially installed Win7 but I the display driver keep crashing and I was getting artifacts on screen then the message saying that it had recovered successfully.
Having read that Win7 was not fully supported I assumed that this was the problem so installed Vista, but got the same problem.
Screen stalled, then goes blank for a second and then the error message in the task bar.
I have just ran all the MS updates and also installed the latest GFX driver from ATI to see if that makes a difference.
I have also just ran 3dmark06 and that ran OK but I was expecting the fans to kick in at some point
Is this available and where? My magic mouse isn't being picked up in windows 7 pro (32 bit)
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am on my new 27" iMac last night when all of a sudden the display froze and pix-elated for a second and then went black and a few seconds turned back on with an error message at the bottom right screen saying my display adapter had stopped . . . . .
I was in Windows 7 64bit Professional at the time. I also noticed that Apple is wanting download a newer version of Boot Camp which I will download tonight!
I went to the ATI website and found a new driver dated 4-2010 and downloaded it. All seems well but was wondering if anyone has had the same issue?
I can't install a printer on my iMac. When I go through system prefs, add printer, it sees the printer and manages to make it to looking for installable options then that window just hangs. I can use the computer, but the window stays and it never actually installs the drivers, i'm using a wireless connection. The same thing happened before with a previous Epson printer connecting by USB. In the end I managed to connect it to my Macbook.

All I see are "gimp beta" this or that. When I try to print the text is too small. It's not filling up the standard size piece of paper I am printing on. What am I doing wrong here??? This is very confusing.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm an IMac newbie, so please excuse me if this is "old" information. However, I've done a lot of searching and can't find a "simple" solution. Maybe there isn't one. Again, please excuse me if this is dumb...Just got a new 27" IMac. I have a Dell AIO 966. I know now there is no OEM driver. But, I thought there was a Lexmark driver model (that might show up in the OX 10 install process I could substitute, or a Generic driver. So far, no luck. And frankly, some of the things I am reading when I search are either old, old posts or too complex for me.
Is the simple answer, "get a new printer?" Or, is there a usable driver loaded into OS X? Is there a thread or post that I am missing?
We are trying to install/update to the NVIDIA 270.00.00f06 driver for the PNY Quadro FX4800 for Mac on our MacPro 3,1 with OSX 10.7.4. The system tells us "No Driver Update Needed for this System", and will not allow driver to be installed. Can anyone advise if the current driver is automatically installed or provided by Apple Updates. If not can you provide proper instructions on how to properly update the driver. Also how can we confirm what driver version is currently installed.

I would like to use a perfectly good Canon Pixma ip4200 printer with OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.5 and  Yosemite 10.10.1 on my 2013 model iMac but Canon say they do not do a driver for these more recent versions of OSX later than 10.7. Is there any way to get this to work?
View 1 Replies View RelatedThis question is MOSTLY for those with a new 27" i Mac running Snow Leopard.
As I've already received the Apple VESA adapter plate to allow mounting to a wall mounted extension arm - allowing the i Mac to "float" above the desktop.
I see some mounts allow the screen to be rotated 90 degrees, which lets the user see long spreadsheets and web pages and such.
Does the ATI driver (from Apple) have the option to run the display in "pivot" or 90 degrees rotated option?
(This has been very common in both nVidia and ATI graphics cards for years.)
I'm awaiting my i7 quad, and checking our old G5 have discovered that this is not available on that machine with Tiger.
When I go to "System Preferences" / "Display" / "preferences" I just get a box saying "The Geometry tab of Display preferences is hidden because this display does not have geometry controls."
Would someone with a C2D 27" please check if their i Mac has this option?
I saw a lot of post and report GTX285 should be more powerful display right now, but as I know GTX285 need to install driver before it work in 10.5, but after 10.6 had been out, can I install it without driver ? Or it can support clean install snow leopard ?
View 8 Replies View RelatedAs the title says, im thinking of getting a blu-ray driver for the mac pro, and i have 2 questions, one for hardware and one for software.
What type of blu-ray drivers does the mac pro 1,1(late 2007) use? Are they the same with the ones PCs use? Any suggestion, value for money? Are they going to have good write speeds for dvds or cds or are they gonna be slow? And software-side, does snow leopard support it? Well actually is there any application that supports blu-ray?? I know im able to burn them with toast so.
