I have an ipad with loads of appointments on. I can get my mac to push appintments to my iPad but I cannot get my iPad to sync with my Mac. I have explored the account information and passwords, all seem to be the same tween iPad, iTunes and iCloud.

I am using Mac Mail with three Gmail accounts. Very frequently, I'll send an email from one account and when the reply arrives, it comes to one of the other accounts. This is making it very hard to segregate personal and business emails.

My mail application on my macbook doesn't seem to work. For the past few days every time I open up the application it receives duplicates of the most recent email in my inbox (one of them got to like 90) and I can't even read these new messages. All old messages in my inbox seem to work fine as they had previously but any new incoming mail can't be read and they get received multiple times.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI made a deal with a neighbor where we share the cost of internet. We use a wifi network and I use my MBP in my office and get 2, sometimes 3 bars of wifi. I wanted to extend wifi to the rest of the house and also be able to plug in my printer so I bought an airport express.First problem I'm running into is that where my 2009 MBP 13" laptop gets 2-3 bars, the router doesn't even SEE the wifi signal from the original D-Link Router.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to get used to Mac because I want to write some novels with Scrivener, but I'm mainly a Linux guy. I made a .7za passworded archive and threw it on Dropbox, but now I can't for the life of me extract it on a MacBook running Leopard. I've tried 7zX and Keka, but both of them are determined to create either a .7z or .zip archive rather than extract the .7za. What am I not getting here?
I tried to get 7zip, but all the links I find to a Mac version are broken.
I have a few .rm files (RealAudio 10 AAC), and have done a "container swap" so that the AAC is now in a QuickTime container, and is therefore readable by iTunes etc. The problem is that my iPod won't read these QuickTime files. How can I extract the AAC data into an .m4a file that an iPod can play? I have QT Pro.

What do you guys think? I made this.
Right click multiple zip files on Windows Explorer and there you have a handy "Extract to" option where you can select to extract all the files to a single folder. How to do the same thing on the mac? Not using terminal, not opening each file and doing the extraction, not opening it with stuffit where it extracts to a folder automatically, i'd like to do the exact same thing that I can do on windows... which is extract X zip / rar files to a specific folder that I can choose, just by right-click.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to extract a DVD to .mov without having to spend money? I use Handbrake, which is great; however, I would prefer to have my files as .mov instead of .mp4. Is there something out there like Handbrake that is free without catches? Are there other alternatives?
I know about software out there that does this, like quicktime pro and dvd ripper. I feel that there shouldn't be a reason to shell out more money for just converting files. We all know being a videographer isn't cheap.
Since I need to bring my mini-tapes to a media transfer store to be made into DVDs, I thought I might be able to bring it to that same place or a rite aid or duane reade to be converted to .mov files instead of a DVD.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a .zip archive on my server that I need to extract. However, I can't just extract on my Mac and then upload what it dumps out to the server - the file needs to be unarchived on the server. However, I'm not quite sure how to do this. I currently use Cyberduck as my FTP client, but I'm willing to use anything else that can extract this if Cyberduck cannot.

I would like to transfer my iTunes library to my phone to use as a secondary/backup iPod. The problem is that I have a lot of music, and iTunes organizes the music by putting music in separate folders via artist, and then more separate folders by album. This means there is no easy way to transfer all of my music over. I'd have to manually click on every folder, and copy songs one by one, which would take a super long time.
Is there a way to like select my iTunes Music folder and be able to get all of my music?
