Nov 2, 2010
someone might be able to help me, I have a mac pro 2009 with a NV GT120 GFX card. Ive been waiting to upgrade to a 5870 for ages and was hopeing Apple might release the update that has been on the website for ages anytime soon, but ive given up waiting now i have ordered the 5770 for now.anyways, will i need to install anything after i fit the new Ati 5770? like drivers ect, and can anyone point me in the direction of where to download these mac drivers please.
I have bought a macbook pro in the late 2009.. and its sudden motion sensor is repositioned (in version 5.3) and it works in the other way around.. when i try with programs that use the sensor to make sth.. like when you move right, the things going upwards.. and when you move in the y direction things are moving in the x direction.. So has anybody have this problem?
And i have been reading articles about new version Smackbooks which works with this version but nothing was helpful so far.. I am calling those people who have the same version as me and have some proper apps to work with our version...
I need a nice 13" 2010 MacBook Air owner to do a favor for me. I need the bootcamp drivers for windows 7. They can be downloaded by going to utilities>boot camp>download windows support software. I have already erased the original OS and did not download them. PLEASE if someone could be nice enough to download them and upload them to rapidshare or something.
I have a macbook with the GMA X3100 GPU.I was able to get the new Windows drivers from the Intel website and I have noticed an improvement in the way my Windows games look. (Played in XP under boot camp.) Unfortunately, I couldn't find any driver update on the Intel site for Macs.Where can I get the new X3100 driver for OSX?
I have a Late '08 Unibody, 2.8GHz variant. I need to do something in Boot Camp and I've set up Windows, and also downloaded and installed the nVidia 9600M GT drivers, and that's working. I'm going to have to need to download DX9.0c as well probably. Now I'll only have access to my Leopard disk again in a few days. Anyone know what are the drivers to install for the mother/logic board, the ethernet at least, and also sound card drivers?
I installed the windows 7 64 bit home premium in my mac pro but drivers are not installed. When I am trying to download the drivers through boot camp, it shows "downloading windows software.." and the progress bar never completes. How I can download win7 drivers?
I just installed Windows Vista x64 on my 2.4Ghz Unibody Macbook this morning for some software development, and I accidently left my install DVD at home - I'm at college right now. Is there any site I can download the drivers for from? Or could somebody possibly send me a link to a download? I tried the 2.1 download on Apple's website, but it doesn't start up.
I recently migrated from MacBook pro to iMac. Now neither will update nor print. They see the printers on network but say I need to download software to print! When I try to download it gives me Network Diagnostics problem although it is connected! The same error appears when trying to update either computer!
One of my fans died on my G4 dual 1ghz. I took it out, got a new fan but I forgot which way it is supposed to blow the air. I put it in so it sucks air into the tower towards the processor, but I'm a bit unsure maybe it is supposed to blow the air out?
I forgot to check before I pulled it out. Here is a picture, if someone could please confirm the airflow direction that would be great.
I've had an iPhone for the last few years and am used to the direction of swiping on the iPhone. I recently purchased a macbook pro and noticed that the scrolling on the iPhone and Macbook occur in the opposite direction when scrolling from top to bottom and it's driving me crazy. I'm looking for a way to change the direction that the window moves when using the two finger swipe on my macbook pro.
When scrolling though web pages on the iPhone, sliding your finger from the top of the phone to the bottom displays text above the current viewing window. In other words, if I place my finger over a word and move my finger up or down my finger is still on top of the word when I'm done scrolling. Scrolling on the track pad of my macbook pro works in the opposite direction. On the macbook when I swipe two fingers from the top to the bottom of the track pad the text above the current window is shown. If I put my cursor over a word and two finger swipe the word moves in the opposite direction as my fingers. I would like to change this behavior so that scrolling occurs in the same manner that it does on the iPhone.
I have the original mouse and it scrolls in the opposite direction now that I've upgraded to Lion.I saw a previous post and they said to change to natural scrolling, but I don't have that option.
How do I quickly change writing direction in mail without going trough 7 different menu options? Is there a quick keyboard shortcut, or maybe an icon I can add to the mail bar?
Apologies if there are other specific threads like this, I did do an MRoogle search but couldn't find one.I've just got a new 15" 2.66ghz i7 MacBook Pro, and have Windows 7 64 bit ready to install. My question is, once I have it installed, with all the Snow Leopard drivers and 3.1 update, should I continue to download drivers from the manufacturers's websites, or just stick to the ones that Apple hands out in their updates?I suppose I'm specifically asking about the NVIDIA drivers. Should I install the most recent drivers for the 330m, or again just stick to the Apple ones?
Recently my mighty mouse scroll wheel as lost the ability to scroll upwards. I presume it's like the ball on the bottom of an old mouse and needs cleaning but don't know how to get into it to clean?
My Trackpad Scroll Direction Natural does not work despite preferences being correctly selected. Have upgraded and restarted. The function works when I'm logged in as another user but when I created my new (main) user this essential function does not work. 15 inch Macbook Pro.
Is there anyway I can download bootcamp drivers for windows 7, I got this macbook pro 2nd hand without a snow leopard CD but came with snow leopard on it, please help me I can install w7 fine but cant install any drivers or get stuff to work...
How so I make it so text in text boxes runs in the traditional chinese style. Characters in text boxes should run down the page instead of across the page.
I recently installed the 64 bit Windows 7 Ultimate operating system onto my MacBook Pro 13 inch. I have the most basic Macbook Pro 13 inch with nothing fancy added. Whenever I load up the Windows 7 OS on my Macbook, it never utilizes or even realizes that I have the NVIDIA graphics card in my laptop. It instead believes I have some integrated graphics card that cannot even run the most basic of PC games. I know my laptop can run these games because on OSX it runs multiple games with higher requirements than these games I am trying to run on Windows.
Basic question: How do I get bootcamp or whatever else to make Windows 7 realize I have a NVIDIA card and drivers. Sorry if I am coming off as stupid or confusing.
So i am trying to change my apple boot camp drivers to nvidia's, but i think i must have downloaded the wrong ones, or done something wrong. I tried to install Geforce/Ion driver release 192.62, (from nvidia's site, i selected gefore 8 series) and when i ran the setup it said: 'nvidia setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your hardware' . My questions are:
Which drivers should i download? a link would be great. Are there any pre-requisites i must do, such as install version 170 first?
I am using an iMac 24" with 4gb ram, 500gb 5400 rpm HDD, and 8800 GS 512mb.
The reason I am trying this, is because when i play some online games, i often get bad lag spikes, but that chat is still running. Someone recommended me to 'update my drivers'.
I have a Macbook plastic, 2.4 GHz intel core 2 Duo with 2 GB of ram.My Mac is currently running on OS X, i used to have a 40 gig partition Windows XP, a couple of friends of mine where talking about how much they liked Windows 7 and finally i had had enough blue screens to say, sure ill switch, why not?... assuming it would not take longer then lets say a day at most, i set off on my quest.
FWI, im running an older model Macbook that was bought refurbished (not sure if that has anything to do with my problem). anyway i removed my previous partition, then using Boot Camp Assistant i repartitioned a 40 gig section for Windows 7. Then ran the installer. I have a copy of Windows 7 ultimate 86x. The Windows boot screen turned up, i had to reformat the partition so that i could install, no problems there. after all said and done the installation worked perfectly, up to a point... First problem that appeared was the lack of sound. i fixed that by downloading Realtek's High Def sound drivers.
Then it was the rest of the drivers for the macbook. heres where i run into my problem, i have the Mac OSX install discs 1 and 2. inserting the first disc the option of the auto run of the setup popped up i clicked run. and instead of the same old install drivers option all i have is the option to install the software that lets macbook airs share cd/dvd drives... needless to say i got frustrated and to put it lightly pissed off...
unsure of wtf was going on i looked it up online and really couldnt find anyone with the same problem, i found a web page saying that i should have the windows auto update itself and that should fix the problem. it did not. i dont know what the hell is going on. and im about this close to reinstalling windows xp and telling windows 7 to go **** itself...
I am considering the move from the GTX 285 to the ATI 5770. The reasoning behind this is that I'm wanting to change from a Dell 30" to the new 27" Cinema display. And obviously the 285 won't connect to this monitor. My biggest concern is the potential drop in performance. Having said that the Most intensive graphics application I have is Call of Duty 4: MW. This is at the moment at least. If better game come out that are more graphics hungry things may change, but I can still upgrade down the track. I'm really struggling to find any comparison between these two cards.
