Apparently I have a bad file in my user profile. I am unable to use some of my Adobe software and they told me I have to create a new User profile. I created a new User account but how do I migrate my files from one user to another? Will I have to enter a password everytime I open a file if I do this?

I recently migrated a MacBook Pro to a Mac mini - all went well enough. I realized that Final Cut Express HD is on a Power Mac G5 that I've retired. I have moved and can't seem to locate the install disc, so I'm wondering if it's possible to migrate just a single app over from the G5 to the mini.

So I had Macbook Pro 13 prior to getting the new Macbook Air. Everything is in sync except the iTunes data on my Air. I didn't use Migration utility because I didn't want to completely mirror my old settings. How do I migrate my iTunes data to my new Macbook Air so that I don't have to resync EVERYTHING that I currently have on my iPhone 4?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI will want to perform a clean install when SL is released in September. But, I would like to have my iPhoto library (events, faces, places, etc.), my itunes library (song ratings, play counts, etc.) and my Mail (messages, mailboxes, etc.) kept in tact. Is this possible? If so, how would I got about doing this. I know people have asked similar questions to this, but I have not been able to find a reliable answer for all these concerns of mine.

I want to transfer my iTunes library from my PC to my MacBook Pro, and then set up my iPod Touch for the MackBook.
Most of the library is on a USB 1 terabyte drive. I am tempted to plug the USB drive into the MacBook and just copy my music directory over. Then make sure the path is set correctly on the MacBook's iTunes.
Is there a better way? I am wondering if this method will cause problems.
After I have transferred the library, I will deactivate my Windows XP pc in iTunes.
I want to migrate only iPhoto and iTunes content from an older Macbook Pro to a new one, not ALL User files.Â
Migration assistant doesn't allow me to fine-tune the operation as much as I'd like.

Mac mini
Apple's new unibody Mac mini takes design cues from Apple TV while introducing innovative new industrial design concepts of its own.The new Mac mini ships in a box that's about the same size around as the previous model, but much thinner. In fact, the new box is smaller than the box a lot of software media used to ship in.Despite being a little more than an inch wider and deeper, Apple fits the new Mac mini into the same profile as the previous box by using a snug fit that packs the computer and its single AC power cable, documents, and an HDMI to DVI adapter with little room for dead air.
As detailed in Friday's first look new Mac mini is the same size around as Apple TV and Time Capsule, and like both of those earlier products, packs its power supply inside the case for a brick-free design.Aimed at easy to use, appliance-like convenience. Also like Apple TV, the new mini trades away a custom mini-DVI port for HDMI, which supplies the same video output with additional support for audio, making the new Mac mini as living room-savvy as Apple TV (although it's considerably more expensive for such an application).
The new design also gives up one of the USB ports the former Mac mini offered, but provides a convenient SD Card slot in its place. The new aluminum shell of the Mac mini creates a strong, precision design similar to the company's MacBook Pro lineup. It leaves previous Mac mini models feeling and looking plastic and cheap. Functionally, the new design makes parts easier to access. Rather than having to peel way the rubber backing to access screws (like Apple TV) or use a putty knife to pop off the top case (like earlier minis), the new design uses a twist off plastic lid to expose access to RAM. Full access requires tools, but is still much easier to disassemble than previous minis.

I have recently added some pictures and new albums to iPhoto. Then I sync my iPhone4S OS 5.1 (9B179) with iTunes 10.6 on OSX 10.7.3 but my new albums and photos get not copied to the iPhone. On the iPhone there are 3.8 GB available and the pictures are just 30MB. The albums on the iTunes sync panel are well checked. I can see even the amount of pictures to copy at the right side of the album name (19). I have repaired the permissions of my boot disk?

Recently I've been having issues syncing iPhoto albums to my iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV. It results in an error such as "The <device> cannot be synced. The disk could not be read from or written to."This usually is during the import phase of the process despite me deleting all the photos in my device, therefore nothing to import. The AppleTV (Gen 1) is somewhat more descriptive by explicitly stating "iTunes cannot sync to the Apple TV <ATV name> because of a problem on your computer. The disk could not be read from or written to.". I'm inclined to think this only started happening with the latest version of the iPhoto 9.3 with Aperture 3.3.1 integration. Meanwhile my iTunes is 10.6.3.Â

I have my iMac here which I use to Sync my iPhone 6 Plus - This iMac 'belongs' to my iPhone 6 plus if you know what I mean.. Â
Now a friend of mine who does not own a computer, just bought an iPhone 6 and wants to move all the photos form his old iPhone 4S to the new Phone.. Â
So.. Â I imported all his Photos to iPhoto on my iMac. Â
Now when I open up iTunes on my iMac it immediately says to me 'Welcome to you new iPhone'.. and wants me to continue. Â
What do I do from here? I want to use iTunes to move all the photos from the iPhoto event I created to his new phone and this is a one off.. Â
Is it possible to do this without messing up any future syncing between my own iMac and Phone??Â
Or is there some other way I can get his Photos from iPhoto on to his Phone? I am assuming that iTunes is the only way without of course having to deal with third party apps.
I just got my new 64gb ipod touch, and every time I try to sync photos on to it, iTunes crashes. I am running the latest versions of itunes, snow leopard and iphone 3.1. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo for some reason, under the photos tab in iTunes, when I try to sync one of my projects from Aperture 3, it shows only 8 out of 233 photos in the actual aperture project beside the project name.
What is going on?
I am using the latest iTunes 9, and the newest version of Aperture 3
