We have one desktop computer. I have an itunes account set up to download music to my iphone. Can my wife set up an itune account of her own to allow her to download music to her iphone? we have one computer and share the same e-mail address
I am trying to set up two gmail accounts in the Mail application of my new Mac Book Pro, but it won't allow me to take one of them online. One connects perfectly, but the other, it says i have to "verify the settings for the account". when i click "take all accounts online", it still fails to connect. Both appear to have the same settings in Preferences, and my system is fully up to date with upgrades.
The way I understand it, is that it is possible to set difference languages for different accounts. I set up an account for my girl and set her language, Slovenian to the top of the list, with English next. However, only the calendar showing dayname is in Slovenian, rest remains in English. Do I need to download some xtra language packages? Slovenian keyboard setup is working fine...
I would like to arrange for my family members to be able to access our family's iTunes purchases in their own accounts on my computer. Right now, we only have the full selection in the administrator account, which the kids don't use. How can I do this?
My wife and I share an IMAC but have separate accounts. My problem is we store all of our photos in aperture 2. When my wife downloads photos, I don't know how to access them. When I download photo's, she cant access mine. I think we both have our settings for sharing files as we are both set up as administrators as well. Is there an easy way to set up both of our accounts to go to a shared file as a default so we can just lick our aperture and see photos from both accounts. We are both very computer illiterate so simplicity would be great as far as setting up to default to the shared file on uploads.
As an administrator (without FileVault protection) on SnowLeopard, I created a standard user account (test user1) with FileVault protection. I just want to get familiar with it before creating real accounts. But as an administrtor I can't look at files created by test user1. I get a message that I don't have permission. Do I need FileVault on for the administrator in order to do this?
If not, as an administrtor, why can't I see what's on other user is doing?
Is there a way as an administrator I can see what's files are downloaded, created, websites visited, etc? I'm aware of creating a user account with Parental controls, but would that give me the ability to see what's in the folder?
I am not sure how it happened but after upgrading the gmail account, the user accounts were changed from standard users to Mobile Me users. None of the users has ever had that type of account, and I am trying to figure out how to get it back to a standard user account. When the user attempts to log in, it asks for the user name, but also the Mobile Me user name (which they do not have). to make it worse, Mobile Me is no longer accpting new users, so I annot just add an account and log in using the new info.
I used one computer to back up my Iphone, then when I got a new Iphone I used another computer. I would like to use the second computer from now on. They both have different information from the phones. I would like to merge the two accounts on the second computer so that all the information is put back onto the new phone.Â
I do not want to erase and replace. The two computers are not connected in any way. I do not have sharing turned on at this time. how to get the information from the first computer to the second computer. Step by step. and also how to merge the two accounts without losing any information.Â
I have recently noticed that all of my accounts have become Standard accounts. I no longer have Administrator privileges for my computer (MacBook). I tried going through Root to change my normal account back to Administrator but according to my accounts preference pane even my Root account is listed as standard. I can check the allow user to be an administrator on this computer but it does not save this preference and will un-check once another user is selected or the window is closed.
I have also tried creating a new account through single user mode but again to no avail. How would I go about fixing this problem? I would like to install some new software and some software is no longer working the way it once did since this change.
We picked up our first Mac yesterday, a 13" uMBP. I upgraded the HDD and the RAM last night and reinstalled all of the software, so it is good to go. I have a question regarding multiple accounts though, and sharing librabries.
My wife and I will each have an account on the Mac, to keep our docs and email separate. However, I want a single iPhoto library, and a single iTunes library for us both to use and sync to. I see in my account, I have Music, Pictures, Movies, etc folders, and a Public folder. As it stands, my iPhoto library is saved in my Pictures folder, which I assume my wife could not access from her account by default. Am I correct in thinking that I want to move the library to the Public folder, and then point her iPhoto to the library in the Public folder, and then we would both be accessing and working from the same library? the same would hold true for iTunes, videos, etc?
I have set up two profiles on my new IMac. I now want to access two different itunes accounts but when downloading the second account I get a message saying the computer is already set up with an apple id and if you download you cannot auto download !! for 90 days ??? I don't understand this.
How can I set up itunes so that two users on the same laptop can each access separate itunes accounts and libraries?Â
My fiancee and I use the same laptop, but both have apple accounts and use ITunes. How can we both access our separate libraries from the same computer?Â
I have two itunes accounts (one US and one norwegian). I frequently switch between the two when I check for updated apps and such. Now I would like to do this using only a keyboard shortcut or such to save time. Â
Info: MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.3), 15" Late 2011
My now ex-girlfriend is tied to my itunes accounts and still using my apps. how can i delete her from using them with hooking it back up to the my computer?
Two user accounts sharing iTunes library on Macbook Pro. m4p file plays complete on one user account, partial on second user account. Same length of partial play for all m4p's in same album. m4a's play fine in both user accounts.Â
Recently when trying managing my AppleID account, I was asked to make my appleID the same as my email. When I tried to do this, I was then told that an appleID by that name already existed. So I then attempted to login using my email address as my appleID. It was then that I realized that I have two separate appleIDs. One I have had for years, and has tons of music associated with it, the other I must have created in the last year when updating my iPhone software version. I have no idea how much of what is associated with the new one, but I think the only way I could find out would be to format my phone and start again. This sounds like a terrible test to conduct on myself.how one can merge two separate appleID accounts
I have one Ipad 2 that is shared between work and family. I have a work account for itunes but I would like to use a separte account to make my own purchases.
We're a family of 3 users with our own Apple accounts. We all use one MacBook Pro. Can we share videos & music that one of us might have purchased from the iTunes store so that we don't have to use one another accounts?
Is there a way to merge two separate iTunes accounts into one? I don't want to "share libraries." I just want one account that once stemmed from two seperate accounts and has all of the purchases and history.
Info: MacBook (13-inch Aluminum Late 2008), Mac OS X (10.6.8)
I'm setting up daughter new MacBook Pro, migrating data from her old white MacBook. We used Migration Assistant to import her apps and documents from the old laptop. Now she has two user accounts: the one she initially set up on the new MacBook Pro, and the old account we brought over from the old machine. And there are iTunes libraries in each of these user accounts -- I believe they're both set up under the same iTunes account. Â
In addition to the two OS X libraries, there's her iPhone, which was synced with the old white MacBook account. Â
So... what's the best way to merge them all into one (duplicate-free) iTunes library on the new MacBook Pro, and switch the iPhone to sync with the new machine?
Just purcahsed a new IMac. my e-mail is coming into mail fine, but how do I add my wife's account, and how do we switch back and forth from accounts.
Our older Mac is still up and working, we used Entourage for that, and I kind of would like to duplicate ithe process in Mail if possible. Still getting mail there too.
