I would like to arrange for my family members to be able to access our family's iTunes purchases in their own accounts on my computer. Right now, we only have the full selection in the administrator account, which the kids don't use. How can I do this?

So I have two iTunes "accounts" because I have an old AOL account - that Apple won't allow me to merge or combine. It is a complete pain - and so I need to find a way of getting some of my purchases from one account onto the other.
I assume the easiest way for songs is just to burn my purchased songs onto a CD then re- import them onto the regular account?
Nobody else is talking about this problem so maybe it is not so widespread, but 3 of us cannot download any apps or access our accounts on iTunes right now (we have 3 separate computers with 3 separate accounts and separate devices). iTunes is giving the error "We could not complete your iTunes Store request. The network connection was lost. There was an error in the iTunes Store, please try your request again later" and we are completely unable to log in. When we try to download apps on our devices (iPhone 4.0, iPhone 3GS and iPad WiFi + 3G) it gives us a "waiting" status bar by the app and just never loads. Or is the iTunes store / App store actually down right now? Using OS X on iMac (late 2009) and the latest version of iTunes for Mac.

I am not sure how it happened but after upgrading the gmail account, the user accounts were changed from standard users to Mobile Me users. None of the users has ever had that type of account, and I am trying to figure out how to get it back to a standard user account. When the user attempts to log in, it asks for the user name, but also the Mobile Me user name (which they do not have). to make it worse, Mobile Me is no longer accpting new users, so I annot just add an account and log in using the new info.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just went through the process of buying an app as a gift to be delivered via email. Typed my personal message to the recipient, confirmed the delivery address. Got the review screen. Then when I clocked to purchase the app, I got a security screen asking me to select 3 security questions and an alternate email address. Got immediate emails from Apple noting the changes to my account. But I never got an email confirming the gift purchase. How do I tell if it went through? The item is not listed in my purchases, but maybe that's by design? Did the security question dialog hijack the purchase process?
(Also checked my credit card website, and it doesn't look like there's a pending charge yet. But I'd hate to purchase this app twice.)

I'm the administrator of my computer, but I want to create an account similar to the guest account, one which does not have access to my own home folder, files, etc. Unlike the guest account, I don't want all the files and preferences to be deleted upon logging out.
Pretty much a separate account, completely unrelated to the administrator account.
Is this possible?
I have 2 personal user accounts on my Mac Leopard 10.5.6, and would like to gain full access to all files within the 2 User Accounts.

I have a Macbook Pro and a desktop PC with iTunes installed on each with the same account. However, my iTunes purchases are not reflected the same on each computer. For example, my Macbook has two tv seasons of The Wire that does not appear on my PC iTunes. Also, there are a number of apps on my PC that I don't have on my Mac notebook. This is especially annoying as I sync my iPhone 4 most frequently with my desktop.

I cannot access the Accounts pane from System Preferences. Each time I click on the icon, I get a message that says "system preferences has quit unexpectedly. I've already repaired the permission, deleted system preferences plist, installed the combo update and logged in as a different user. Everything else works just fine.

I just got my MacBook Pro (late 2011/Mavericks) back from a covered Apple repair. It now has a new logic board, and although most other things seem to work ok, I cannot log in to either of my Mail accounts (or to the C-panel of my website, where one of those accounts is located), either by using the existing password entries in MAIL preferences, or by entering the passwords manually. How do I get this to reset so that I can access my mail?

I realize there isn't much of a need for this anymore but I've just discovered about 20 tracks in my library are still protected. This means I can't use them in iMovie for the iPhone.
