Feb 13, 2012I recently rented a movie for my son to watch, but have not been able to view it because iTunes is telling me that my computer is not authorized to view the movie. It gives me the option of authorizing the computer if I enter my iTunes Store password. I do and it gives me the same error message with the opportunity to again enter my password. If I click CANCEL it tells me what I already knew, and that is that the computer is already authorized. The rental purchase was made from this Mac and yet I'm not able to purchase it. Is there something that needs to be fixed in order to play this, or is this a bug in iTunes 10.5.3?

Apr 2, 2009I'm helping a friend out who's selling a Mac with legit copies of Leopard, iLife, iWork, and CS3 loaded on. We are supplying the disks and original packaging to the buyer as well. We're wondering if there's a way we can install all of that software from the disks, setup the person's user account with the info they provided us and at the very least, set the computer/Leopard to play the "Welcome to OS X" movie again one time. If possible, we'd like it to take the user through the initial setup again too, but I don't see how that could be possible considering you have to have a user account setup to install programs.

Jan 31, 2010Just bought a new Canon Digital Camera, and took some Photos, and High Def videos (720p) with it. Came home, plugged the camera in, and my G4 found all the photos and movies, and I downloaded them to the proper folders. Problem: When Quicktime plays the movies, the sound is fine, but the video is completely slow, stuttering and hardly moves. Its unwatchable. My G4 is 1.4 gb Processor, and 2 Gb of Sdram. Fast, SATA Hard drives. It has the original AGP Video card that came with the Mac. Is my problem the Video card, or the G4 system itself.

Aug 29, 2010So yesterday I bought a lovely 1080p LED monitor (Benq 2420HDBL) and I want to watch some HD movies through it.
The files are all ripped to .mkv and I've noticed VLC is buggy as hell (Jerky playback, lots of artifacts etc.) I know my Mac is up to the task (New 'decoding: 10 Mac pro) so it can't be that.
I saw this article that says VLC is really bad for H264: [URL]
I've done the steps labeled above, but with only very very minor success.
Are there any other players you could recommend? (Not M player 2 though, just tried that and I got HUGE burst of white noise through my high end audio monitors (luckily they have in-built limiters, if not I have no doubt I'd be deaf/looking at a very annoying repair).
