Jun 27, 2014I only just downloaded Mavericks this past week. I don't like how we have to use the "shift" or "command" key to delete multiple emails. I preferred and found it simpler to just use my mouse and click and highlight. Can this might revert back ?Â

Mar 2, 2009I am having two problems with the Mail app that perhaps you all could help me with.
First, when I send out emails with links in them, 50% of the time the link is cut in half; the text is there, but the clickable part of the link is only for half of the test.
For example it would show up like this:

I know the recipients can just copy and paste the whole email, but I send these emails to a lot of family friend members who aren't computer literate. Plus it's just a hassle for the reader.
My second question is that whenever I reply to an email, my emails don't display the image that was in the original email. It just says "attachmentXXXX" at the bottom. Is there anyway to fix this?

May 22, 2012If an email is either replied or forwarded to me I am unable to open any of the attachments from the originial messages. So unless someone forwards me an email and includes an attachment directly in their emial to me I'm not able to open any attachments. In the email this is how the attachments appear:<CBA_COMPS_5.2.12_PDF.pdf><Screen Shot 2012-05-17 at 2.10.18 PM.png> They are just text and not clickable. How can I make it so that I can open them?

Mar 22, 2012In my "Junk folder" emails are being caught. Some are a darker brown color and have a box to unmark as junk. Others are a lighter brown and have no such "unmark" option. Some of these that I believe are being identified as "spam" are in fact not spam. How do I change the color of them in the inbox from light brown to black?

Apr 20, 2012I don't know if this began with Lion or are some update.It is clearly related to Mail group messages by 'conversation'. Normally, if I select a message either with the mouse or by mvoing up or down the inbox with the cursor keys, the message I move to gets marked as read (it looses it unread mark). However, when a message is put into a group of related message by Mail, this often but not always does not happen. In some cases, moving to the message, to the next message, and back again will get it marked read. But in other cases, I need to expan the group with the nbr> mark and then select any member messages to get them marked read.
If the unmarked member messages were below the most recent message I might be annoyed but I could grasp what is happening.However, in most every case, the most recent message is marked as unread and I need to select is directly and then leave it to get the group marked as read.This slows down browsing through the messages I receive which include a lot which are of no interest to me most of the time (if always of no interest I could get them stopped). So I like to be able to select the oldest unread message and then use the cursor keys to move up the list one at a time and if I'm not interested in a message I just keep going, otherwise I stop and process it.

May 14, 2012I'm tying to set up a new iMac with various email accounts. All have been set up fine however they will not send emails, only receive them. The settings are 100% the same as the iMac on the next desk and the iMac downstairs, all of which have these email addreses set up on them.
I have tried using differnet ports for the SMTP settings. But no luck.

Intel Mac :: Mail 4.5 Not Downloading Emails
Jun 2, 2012I am using an iMac with Snow Leopard 10.6.8, which has Mail 4.5 on it.Since yesterday, my Mail application will no longer download e-mails. When I open it, the little tray in the corner says it is downloading message 26 of 26, but after it finishes, nothing happens. No new Mail has been downloaded. It keeps doing this, even after a reboot (I have double-checked that the order of my Mail hasn't changed, and it isn't just showing at the bottom).
Today, I removed my Gmail account from Mail, and added it again. I entered my Gmail username/password. Once set up, it proceeds to download e-mails (downloading 1 of 26). The thing is, it has shown this constantly for the last 20 minutes. I don't even have big recent e-mails.
