Is it possible to set a default window size when launching Safari and/or opening new windows in Safari?

i have a 27" iMac and when i use Safari i usually increase everything 2 times ( hit command + twice ) for each page.
Well Safari doesn't seem to remember my settings and each time i visit a new page or the same page, i have to Command + twice each and overtime.
Is there a way to set it to automatically increase it x2 for everything? or atlas save the settings for that page?
Since I have been using Safari, it's windows open to the maximum size of the screen. Recently it has begun to open in at a small size. Is there anyway to save how large the window is when the program is launched, or a new window is opened?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'd like to set up Safari so that when I click the green "Maximize" button on the top left, the Safari window goes to a certain size and when I click it again, it goes to another size. Is there any way to do this? I've never really seen a use for Safari's green button as it doesn't really do anything that I can see.

Normally, the Finder window will display a folder's size in the Size column. However, I have one folder which shows as "Zero KB" in the Size column. When I open the General Info window, the Size reads as "Zero KB on disk (Zero bytes) for 0 items."
In order to get the folder size I have to go into the folder, select all folders, then with either the Summary Info or Inspector window, it'll show the folder size ("185.32 GB on disk").
Why is this occurring in only this folder? Is it because it's a large folder?
I'm running Snow Lep 10.6.2. The folder is on an external drive in FAT32 format.
My wife registered my daughter for a school admission process online. We received a confirmation in a safari window and it said we need to print it. But then my mom closed that window in error. Now that program registration is full. Is there anyway I can retrieve that window. It is really important for us as a family.Â
I have an iMac with the latest Lion OSX. Will that page be saved somewherein the temporary files or cache? I also have full time machine backup.Â

I prefer not to change the resolution of my iMac. I find that the bookmarks toolbar is not that easy to read with the default font size. How do I change it and make it permanent?

I seem to have the following problem. not sure exactly how it started as my wife was using the mac at the time (she says she just dragged the safari to different desktop via mission control) but now the situation is as follows:
When I hit safari icon it switches on (I can see the little light dot underneath the icon and after right click I can see names of windows that are opened) however I can only see the Safari menu at the top but no window. If I scroll to the right or left to different desktops it's not there, the same goes if I double tap to see the Mission Control mode it's not there...
I so far figured out that once the Safari menu is visible on top of the screen I can go to View>Enter Full Screen and then Safari will come back into the full screen mode but once I unclick the full screen button in right top corner the whole window just swoops into the right top corner and it's nowhere to be found again.

i like to have my movies, pictures, downloads and documents folders always open in cover flow with the cover flow window at a certain size. whenever i go back to the finder after a login or reboot the cover flow window size always goes back to the default which is tiny. this is even after ive tried to keep it at a particular size and selected always open in cover flow in view options. i was hoping 10.5.1 would fix this. does this happen to anyone else? does anyone know how to keep cover flow windows at a certain size? heres a few pics to explain what i mean.
the first picture is how big i want to cover flow window to look. the second picture is how the cover flow window always seems to want to go back to. the third picture is the view options of that finder window

View 10 Replies View RelatedI've been searching Google for a solution to this - I like all my Finder windows to be the same size, no matter what folder it is. Keeps everything looking universal. Nothing annoys me more than having to keep resizing bloody windows, because the default size has horizontal and vertical scroll bars! I like my Finder window to accommodate 5 folders horizontally.
I've been looking into Terminal commands to see if there is anything in there that would allow me to change the default dimensions, but found nothing.
I'm a mac newbie and I installed Office for Mac '08 today. I don't see an option to have Office remember the window size and position. So every time I open Word, Powerpoint, etc they open so that they take up 60% of the screen. How can I have the programs remember the size and position of the window?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've got a very annoying issue with Mail 5.2 (1257). I customized the main application window so that it would only take a small amount of screen space. My problem now, is that every time I close Mail and open it again, it looks like much larger. So I have to rescale the window every time I open Mail, which is quite frustrating. How to force Mail to keep the same window size?

View 7 Replies View RelatedWhen I open the force quit window, it fills my entire screen, and it is larger than the screen of the TFT monitor that I am using from time to time. How can I change its size back to original? The window is not resizable by dragging its border or clicking the green plus button in the title bar. Â
I don't know how the window got this size in the first place. All I know is that it happened during a crash where I closed a lot of other windows and where I accidentially clicked the green plus button of the force quit window instead of the red x.
