Nov 13, 2009I am trying to find out how to get video dimensions so I can use iSquint to convert them. When I right click and goto More Info, the dimensions for 90% of them aren't there. Is their a program that can do this easily? I'm trying to keep the aspect ratio when I convert movies. I have Adobe Premier Pro and even that doesn't give me the dimensions for some of them.

Mar 20, 2010I have a few pictures I took with my digital camera and I want to print them and put them in a frame that is 11.5cm * 7.7cm. So, I need to adjust their size to print them that size.
I don't have a colour printer, so I'm printing off a library computer in colour, so I can't print them directly off my mac. I'm going to need to transfer them on a usb and open them in windows on a library computer. The pictures are in .JPG format since I uploaded them.
-So I went to Preview (program) and Tools > Adjust size.
-I typed in 7.7cm for width and it gave me a locked length of 11.1cm as that would probably keep the pictures proportionate. I'm alright with that.
But then, when I look at my picture, it's much smaller that the actual dimensions of 7.7cm. Then when I zoom in, it is pixelated. That'd odd because I'm actually reducing the dimensions of my picture.
How do I adjust their size so they print to 11.1 cm 7.7 cm?

When trying to open computer after being in sleep mode, I clicked the mouse to open the password screen, & a blank blue/black screen appeared & the mouse timer( colored circle) appeared, as if to be waiting. But the 2006 model does not have these ports, it only have a mini DVI video output port, so i assume it cannot receive video input. Is tere a way to still use this imac screen as an external screen? Apr 5, 2012My one week old iMac 2.7GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5. first started problems by not goping to sleep even when I forced it.
I shut it down using the shut off button and unplugging it from power for more than 5 munites.
I turned it back on, it does the usual startup chime and then gray screen. I have restarted twice from the shot off button and still getting the same result.

Apr 18, 2012I am worried that my computer is heading for a crash. I bought it in January 2007 and it has served me well up until the last couple of months. The screen freezes more and more frequently. Although I have tried all three USB ports on the back, my wireless mouse freezes constantly. (Yes, I have installed new batteries multiple times.) Sometimes there are very brief flashes of black behind whatever screen I'm working on.

Apr 30, 2012I have a new 27" IMac with all updates installed. I use Track pad and wireless keyboard and wireless number pad. No Blurtooth in the house . Bluetooth boards replaced. Nearest neighbor is several thousand feet away and not home during the day. When using Sarafi the screen will rapidly scroll to the bottom and stay there. It might be anywhere from 30 seconds to several minutes until I am able to scroll back to the top of the page. During this time I can't get any of the bookmark folders to stay open although if I do not take my finger off the track pad I can hold it open. Some times I have to reboot Safari to reset the page. This happens on an intermittant basis and it may be days between occurences,
Is this a know bug in either bluetoopth, Safari, or the OS?

May 9, 2012I have an 2008 iMac that displays a gray screen. I cannot get rid of it. I have done a forced shut down but it wakes up when a key is depressed. I have turned off the power. It will chime but a gray screen, not a spinning wheel or anything else. I was told it might be VMWare Fusion at fault so I uninstalled the program a month or so ago. It was fine until a few days ago. Has the display panel died? If so, is this a dyi or should I pay $$$ to repair it.Â
