Intel Mac :: How To Reactivate Expand / Diminish And Close Buttons
May 13, 2012
While I was working in Word, I did something that make the three buttons (close, diminish and expand) disappear. It's only in Word and the documents are not closing because I can't close them (there's no button !). I really don't know what to do...
Info:
iMac (21.5-inch Mid 2011), Mac OS X (10.7.4)
So i was stupid and was playing with some themes. Somehow after uninstalling the few I downloaded and installed now all of my buttons on the top right of windows are tiny. Its no big deal but I want them back to the original size.
I would like to know if charging the MacBook Pro for 8 hours overnight will cause the battery to diminish faster. I only let it happen once, I usually unplug it when its green.
My filevault is not in the active mode. url...Cannot activate as the bottom is inactive. What is wrong? A time machine backup ist available. Can I use that to repair my Lion?
I thought that someone had hacked my itunes account and bought a few apps so I told Apple and they disabled my account. I just found out that it was my Mom who bought the apps in the first place without telling me! How do I get my account to work again?
How do I get my FaceTime and imessage to reactivate on my macbook when every time i enter my apple id and password it says that the server cannot process the request?
i am upgrading my ibook g4 1.2 GHz powerPC from the original hardrive -30gb - with a new western digital Scorpio 250 gb drive. all my research says this will be compatible.
once the drive is installed ( i am confident I can do this correctly ) it is my understanding that I put my leopard disk in, and go to disk utility to format the drive. Then I load my files onto the ibook from a backup I created last night using time machine. My understanding is that my files and programs will be placed back onto my computer where they were before. is this correct? am i going to have to re activate my adobe CS3? quicktime pro? etc.?
I receive a dialog box asking to allow or deny Adobe Flash to install something on my iMac when I run Flash enabled web content. I cannot select the allow or deny buttons and the box stays on screen throughout the video. I have downloaded the latest version of Flash and my software is up to date.
I have a iMac with Boot Camp so im often using windows when im using programs/games that are only made for windows...However, the buttons F1, F2, F10, F11 and F12 are not working (I dont know about the other buttons F3-F9). I cant adjust the brightness and sound anymore by pressing F1 and F2 etc. What could be wrong?
After a full migration from my 2006 Intel iMac to a new 12.1 21" iMac, I I tried to change some playlists and download other podcasts ect. on my ipods and i pad 2 on my new iMac , but the bar at the bottom of my sync window does not show the capacity bar along with the Revert and Apply buttons. Everything else looks like it should and I don't get any error messages.

what the difference is between the commands 'close window' and 'close all windows'? They seem to me to both have the same effect. In my earlier version of Safari, if I opened a new web page, it just replaced the earlier one, now though the new pages just keep accumulating. T
I just bought my first 27 inch IMac a few weeks ago, I am a apple convert, today my mail will not close, the close mail tab is greyed out in to top task bar, and I tried to right click on the app and close that way but no go. Is there yet a third way to shut down mail that I am not aware of as I cannot turn off the IMac until mail is closed, miss the force shutdown tab in pcs.
I want to close down a user account. When I go into Users in System Preferences and chose the account I want to close it starts going through the motions of deleting the account, then, comes up with an error saying I can't delete this account.Â
I have tried many times. I have even removed files so that I have 200GB of disk space etc.Â
I tried to get auto clicker for my mac, to play minecraft and I set it on the script to click 10 times a second. Now it wont let me click on the mouse or use the keyboard. 2010 iMac running 10.9.4. Lately certain programs are forced to close on a regular basis. This includes Safari, Mail, Crashplan. It usually happens when the computer is sleeping. When I wake up the computer first thing in the morning, I usually have 3 - 4 messages saying that certain programs were forced to restart. This can also sometimes occur when the computer is not sleeping, but when I am using it. Typically it's Safari that is forced to restart. Â
Recently upgraded RAM and added Crashplan software for data backup. Â
If I migrate my W7 machine to my Mac mini, will Windows make me reactivate the license? Is that even a big deal? If I use the ethernet cable option, will I need just the regular ethernet cable or a crossover cable?
