View 4 Replies View RelatedI am trying to add a Dell 1350 laser printer to my list of printers. When I try to add it, i am unable to find an appropriate file for "Print Using:" option. If I choose Autoselect, is states that Software for this printr isn't available from Apple. I downloaded the driver from Dell and installed it, but nothing shows in the Select Printer Software list in the Print Using drop-down.

I've seen previous discussions regarding problems installing a Dell printer. I have a Dell 962 wireless printer. I did find the compatible Mac driver R92834 and I did install the driver. However, when I try to add the printer, I can't find the printer in the drop down list. Am I supposed to be looking for a Lexmark printer? If so, I have no idea what model is equivalent to the Dell 962 AIO. The model sticker is 4409-0d1. A search for this model returns nothing. I'm a newbie with Macs. OS is 10.4.3. Got any ideas?

I changed the ip of my printer to 192.168.1.3 because I have a new router and that seems to be the range. I can ping that IP. When I choose that printer the printer setup says socket://192.168.1.105/?bidi which is my old IP. Not sure where I change that.

This might be a very stupid question but I am new to Macs. Is it possible to use my Dell A920 Inkjet printer with my Mac? I have gone to Dell's website and there are only XP and 2000 drivers available.

I have the printer's IP address which I have input into add printer "Address," but do not know where to go from there. I am using Line Printer Daemon protocol and do not have the drivers for the printer.
Is there some simple fix for this?

Anyone out there know how I can attach a Dell model A920 printer to my new iMac (less than a month old)?
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo, I've joined my home workgroup (I think?) and yet when I go to the 'network' tab in finder NOTHING shows up other than the 2 PC's whose IPs I added manually (so I could see their network drives).
I've searched and searched and cant for the life of me get this printer working.
It's a Dell 1700 printer connected to a networked XP machine, and all the PC's in my house can see/use it just fine, but for some reason on my MBP I cant at all.
I had a Dell 1100 laser printer working on my iMac (G4 ball type) using a GIMP printer. I had to reset the queue and lost the driver. I can't remember which GIMP driver I used. Also, although I have loaded the latest GIMP s/w, I can't seem to get to them in Tiger 10.4.6.

I am attempting to connect my Dell AIO Photo 926 printer to my wireless network (WPA2). I use an old Apple AirPort Extreme (hereinafter "AAE") as my router (it's the old "dome shaped" one). I believe that heoretically I could plug the printer into the USB port on the back of the AAE and any computer connected to that network can print to the Dell printer. I have installed the drivers for the Dell AIO Printer and it prints fine when connected to my laptop (Windows 7). However, I am having NO luck doing this when I go to Control Panel and run the "add a printer wizard." Is there anyone who might be able to point me in the right direction to a tutorial or something? Is what I'm trying to do even possible with an AAE and an "older" Dell printer?
View 6 Replies View RelatedComplete Apple newbie actually. Just recently bought a MBP and want to get a large independent monitor while im using it at home. As much as I love the Apple display, I cant afford it at this time. I found a really nice Dell LED monitor that has DVI, VGA, HDMI outputs.

I'm trying to get my Dell 3000cn printer to work with Mac OS 10.3.9. I cannot get the printer to work with the generic PCL 6 driver.
I'm an IMac newbie, so please excuse me if this is "old" information. However, I've done a lot of searching and can't find a "simple" solution. Maybe there isn't one. Again, please excuse me if this is dumb...Just got a new 27" IMac. I have a Dell AIO 966. I know now there is no OEM driver. But, I thought there was a Lexmark driver model (that might show up in the OX 10 install process I could substitute, or a Generic driver. So far, no luck. And frankly, some of the things I am reading when I search are either old, old posts or too complex for me.
Is the simple answer, "get a new printer?" Or, is there a usable driver loaded into OS X? Is there a thread or post that I am missing?
I need help setting up network printing. I have a new router N600. I can not see the printer.
