View 4 RepliesI know this may sound very elementary but there was no documentation with my Mac when I bought it new (except a thin flimsy pamphlet with very basic stuff in it) and the support menu comes up with nothing at all when I search for webcam, webcam or isight. Where do I go to learn about how to use the built-in camera/webcam as a camera and also as a webcam?

I have some stop motion animation software on my mac, and would really like to use it, but for some reason, my video camera, a Panasonic HDC-TM80, won't register. It will upload pictures and videos taken on itself, but it won't or can't be recognized by my mac as a webcam. What is wrong? Do I need some fancy-shmancy software or hardware? If so, then what? How would I use it? How much might it cost?Â

I am looking for a quality HD or even FULL HD webcam that captures smooth video on my MacBook pro. This cam is used to do some video recording of my dj sessions for friends and colleagues. Sound is taken from a high end sound interface.
I was told that Logitech webcams like the full HD C910 cannot work together with my Mac OS X (driver not exist). Is that right?
What other choice do I have to record better quality HD movie via webcam?
I was wondering whats the best software I can use to record webcam videos ?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am wondering what an easy solution would be to capture HD, 720p resolution video from an HD webcam?Â
I have a MacBook Pro, mid-2010 with the standard-def iSight. I will not be using the iSight for the video capture. Rather, I will be using a 3rd-party USB HD webcam.Â
The camera works well with Skype and the like, but I would like to capture full 720p video using a standalone piece of software.Â
I have a mini i7 with a Logitech HD Pro webcam. The person at the other end gets a bad echo of themselves when video chatting. The issue is on my side, not theirs. Tried face time and google talk. Even tried two different web cams. My wife's iMac has a check box to "use ambient noise reduction" my mac mini doesn't have that option. How can I fix this. Surly there are mac mini owners using webcams?

On websites that use flash player for video chat I just can't send my video stream trough my external usb Ligitech webcam.
The situation is: when opening the Adobe Flash Player settings menu-video-select I tend to send webcam video I only have the option of sending trough the "USB video class video": the isight built-in webcam of my MacBook and don't have my Logitech webcam on the list.
The fact is: I have an external usb webcam (Logitech and works with mac) and the Flash Player video options don't allow me to choose the Logitech webcam instead of the iSight buil-in webcam.
Do you have or know any solution/add on/software to my problem? I'm getting crazy with that! I just wanna tell to my MacBook to run always the Logitech webcam instead of the iSigth built-in webcam when I'm on websites that use Flash Player for video chat.
I am still trying to find the best easy video camera for my 12 year old grandaughter to use with a mac. she loves i photo and idvd and i movie and is pretty good with all. I just want to get a simple video camera for her to do her own little films.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently bought an eMac and it is the first mac that i've ever owned so I am not completely familier yet on what to do to make everything work. My problem - I have a digital camera that has the ability to take video. When I plug the camera into the computer iPhoto recognizes the pictures but neither iPhoto or iMovie recognize the video. It there a way to make this work so I can upload the videos to my computer? I know the videos can be moved to computers for I have done it on my pc.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI just converted to a 2007 Macbook (wife's old comp) and was using Sony's PMB software with my PC (Windows XP SP2). I know that I can use iMovie '08 to import the files but they are HUGE. I assume it's because PMB imports in AVHCD format and iMovie uses .MOV? Is there another program I can use to import my files. I don't want to waste all my hard drive space importing a few movies.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOccasionally my friends and I go to tinychat to do a multi-person video chat. Usually when i click "broadcast" there are many video options and I choose the one that has myself on it. It usually says something like "USB camcorder" or something with USB in it. However; the other night I tried to go on, and it wouldn't let me. I noticed that the video options had gone down to about 4, and the one with myself was called "Built-In iSight." I have never had this option before, so I clicked it. the green light next to my camera flicked on and then off. You couldn't see me. Was it something I did? All the video sharing websites do this; however on my photobooth and ichat it works fine...
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy video camera (JVC) has a USB port, when I connect the cord from the video camera to the macbook, it doesn't recognize it. I assume you can connect it to the computer this way since it has a USB port on the cam. The cam has firewire (which mac doesn't) and it charges from a dv connection.
