MacBook Pro :: Using Panasonic Camera As A Webcam On It?
Jun 12, 2012
I have some stop motion animation software on my mac, and would really like to use it, but for some reason, my video camera, a Panasonic HDC-TM80, won't register. It will upload pictures and videos taken on itself, but it won't or can't be recognized by my mac as a webcam. What is wrong? Do I need some fancy-shmancy software or hardware? If so, then what? How would I use it? How much might it cost?Â
Info:
MacBook Pro (13-inch Late 2011), Mac OS X (10.7.4)
I have a Mac Book Pro running OS X Lion. I cannot open .mpg video files created by my Panasonic Video camera. Neither iMovie nor Quicktime will open them. Final Cut Pro will not open them either.
I have a Panasonic NV-GS150 DV Digital Video Camera which i would like to use with iMovie. My camera did not come with any software for MAC. How do i go about setting up my iMac so that i can use my video camera on my mac.
Do i need any drivers? Do i need any other software?
I know this may sound very elementary but there was no documentation with my Mac when I bought it new (except a thin flimsy pamphlet with very basic stuff in it) and the support menu comes up with nothing at all when I search for webcam, webcam or isight. Where do I go to learn about how to use the built-in camera/webcam as a camera and also as a webcam?
I need to stream a video of my choosing using amsn in OsX. I found an app named macam that is suposed to do just that, among other things. I followed the intructions but I just can't get it to recognize the dummy webcams.
Surely this is a pretty standard feature in laptops now, particularly with Apple's obsession with iPhoto etcDoes it come as an option? How do you get your pics off your camera? You have to connect a usb cable from the laptop to the camera?
i recently purchased an RF-AP305 Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter (rocketfish) and the matching rocketfish HDMI cable. however, when i plug the cords into my panasonic TC-L32C3 the tv won't let me select either HDMI 1 or 2 as an input source. why won't the tv recognize my mac?
I would like to know how to connect my MBP 17'' to my Panasonic plasma TV. I already have a Mini-Display cord to HDMI connected from my MBP to the TV, but no video or sound is present.
Info: MacBook Pro (17-inch Late 2011), Mac OS X (10.7.4), 8GB Ram - 750GB HD
I was thinking of buying a Panasonic Viera S1 series (50") and hooking it up to my Macbook Pro to watch movies. This is their less expensive line. In researching the difference between this and the more expensive G15, I was told by Panasonic that the S1 doesnt have a true computer input, (just HDMI, component etc.) and they dont guarantee it will work. (Looking at a picture of the back of the G15 it looks like the "computer" input they are referring to is a VGA.)
This seems odd. I have an older LCD TV (no HDMI or DVI input, just component and video) and all I have to do is hook it up with a DVI to S video adapter and off we go. The specs of these various interfaces are consistent I'm sure, so what's this "may not work" business? Either it does, or it doesnt, right?
I will say that there is hard disk noise with the old TV which can be annoying. Is this what they mean?
I am running Lion 10.7.4 presently on my MacBook Pro and will also be upgrading to Mountain when it is released. If I have external Bluetooth speakers like the Panasonic HC57's, can I go into System Preferences and choose them as my output speakers?
Cannot connect Mac Air to older Panasonic Viera plasma TV.Mac will not recognize TV. Mac Air shows a blue screen for a second and TV will not show desktop. Using HDMI splitter with HDMI to Thunderbolt connection.
I've got a MacBook Pro running 10.5.8. Just took my first pictures/video with the GH2 using a Lexar 64GB SDXC card. When plugging in the USB cable that came witht the camera I got - "The disk you inserted was not recognized by this computer". I've written to Lexar but so far they've been no help. I know the file system for this card is FAT32 which is a PC format. I know this card will work with the Mac...but how is it accomplished?
I have an external iSight Web camera and want to use it with an iMac with a built in iSight camera. Can I disable the built in iSight camera and instead use the external camera?
I have a Panasonic P2 camera that records on mini dv or a P2 card. I can capture the video from tape but not from the P2 card. I've downloaded the drivers, installed the programs from the CD that came with the camera but it still won't work.
For a long time I have been downloading photographs from my Panasonic DMC-TZ3 into IPhoto - but for some reason my mac has stopped recognising / picking up my camera.
I've searched Google for drivers for my camera but cannot find them for mac.
My operating system is OS X - Build 10C540 Snow Leopard.
I ended up having to buy a new firewire cable to fit into the MacBook Pro I'm using. But when I use the iEEE 1394B cable iMovie tells me that its having a communication error with the Panasonic.
Is it possible to get Imovie (or anything else) to recognize my NV-EX3 camcorder (on OSX) via FireWire? NV-EX3 works fine on all PC's, browsing forums and www and contacting MAC and Panasonic has not provided a solution, this seems to be impossible!
I am having an incredibly frustrating time trying to connect my iMac to a Panasonic Viera TV. Â
Using a mini DVI to DVI adapter attached to a DVI to HDMI cable (I am not concerned about sound right now) I am getting nothing but a blank screen on the TV. The cable is plugged into the HDMI1 porrt on the TV (but I have tried both). The iMac is recognising the TV but despite playing around with the settings on the preferences I am still unable to mirror the iMac display on the TV. All cables are brand new.Â
I have tried rebooting the iMac whilst in the HDMI setting on the TV but without success.Â
I hava a imac 24, running leopard. I have a panasonic video recorder nv-gs10. I connect it to my mac with firewire to extract video, but mac does not reconogice it. cant i do. where can i find drivers?
