Hardware :: Compatible Printer For PowerBook G4

I have a PowerBook G4, about 2 years old and have never used it for printing. I have an HP all-in-one printer/fax/scanner/copier. Is there a way I can use that printer with my Mac?

OS X Leopard :: New Printer Needed - Which One Compatible
I have a Mac OS X 10.5.8 and I have to replace my much loved Canon MP 470 printer. As they are no longer available, I would like to get something as close as possible. It needs to be compatible with my Mac, of course. My needs are simple. I don't need wireless. I need a multifunction but without fax. I do not do a lot of printing, seldom more than a few copies at a time. I need it to be a reasonable text and photo printer and a good scanner. Speed of printing is not important and cost of ink should be reasonable. I would like to be able to connect it directly to my computer and not via my modem. I would prefer to stay with Canon but am flexible. Is there such a computer? They all seem to be much more than I need. I am confused by different cables.

Hardware :: Lexmark Not Compatible Need New Printer?
I have a lexmark all in one printer X6170, but it is not compatible with OSX and does not offer nay drivers for Mac. I am looking for a new printer which is compatible with both Mac and PC and which does not have a high cost for Ink Cartridges.

The ink cartridges prices are ridiculous and I don't want to pay $50 for a printer and $45 for ink refills.

WHat are some of you guys doing to get a decent printer while keeping the cost down for Ink cartridges.

IMac Intel :: Looking For Compatible Multifunction Printer?
My Kodak 5300 AIO printer has failed (clogged printhead), so I'm looking for a new multifunction printer that's 100% compatible with OSX 10.5. For day to day printing, I use a Samsung laser. This means that the colour printer isn't used much - I need one that doesn't dry up if it's not used for a long time. Needs to be fairly cheap - less than 100GBP (150USD) and available in the UK. I won't be buying Kodak or Lexmark, so I guess that leaves HP or Canon. Ink costs aren't really a problem, as I don't do much colour printing.

I'm looking for advice on buying a decent mid-range printer for my Mac. Ideally I'd like it to be wireless. I live in the UK & am looking to spend up to ?150. It would predominantly be used for printing documents. priorities are:

-Wifi / wireless compatibility
-efficiency of cartridges / price of refills
-printing, possibly some photocopying, but not essential
-occasional use for printing photos (again not huge priority)

Mac Mini :: Connect To An AirPrint Compatible Printer?
I'm new to MAC and have a problem connecting my network printer to my MacMini:

Hardware:

1) Intel Mac Mini

2) Printer: HP laserjet pro 100 color mfp m175nw, WLAN switched off, connected via Ethernet to the same network as 1) and 3)

3) Windows PC

Problem:

I can't discover the printer from my MAC Mini. However, I can connect indirectly via the Windows PC which is sharing the printer resource in the network.

Question:

Is there a way to directly connect to the printer via Ethernet, so that I can print with my Windows PC switched off?

P.S: I can print with my iPAD connected via an AirPort extreme to the same Ethernet network.

Hardware :: Good Small Printer Compatible With MacBook Pro?
I'm planning on buying a new Macbook Pro and want to buy a printer to go with it. I know it sounds crazy but I've never had a printer before. I also know you can get a printer "free" basically with the purchase, but I can easily sell that one on craigslist or ebay to get the one that will be best for me. Here's what I need: my computer desk is very small and I need a physically small printer. I don't want a big old lunk of junk!

I'd rather spend as little as possible, but I'm willing to pay a little more (up to like $150 I guess) for a better one.I don't know much about tech stuff, so it needs to be one that's easy to hook up with my Macbook Pro and maybe hopefully even work wirelessly. I prefer it to print colour as well and photos, scan and make copies if possible (not sure if that stuff always comes now). Basically all the normal extras I guess.

OS X Leopard :: New IMac Can't Find Printer On Network But The Old G4 Powerbook Can
I'm running both machines on ethernet on 10.5.5. The Xerox Phaser 6120 is also on the net. Both Macs can see each other and login through netagent, and Finder works fine across platforms. However, when I print off the laptop, the printer gets the file and it works. When I do it on the iMac, it also goes to port 631 and tries connecting. OS X Leopard :: Canon Selphy Photo Printer Not Working Despite New Printer Driver Installed?
I've tried to add a Canon Selphy photo printer. iMac recognises the printer through both the iPhoto application, and through Print&Fax preferences, and latest appropriate driver has been downloaded from Canon and "installed", yet nothing happens when photos are supposed to print.

Also connected is Samsung printer working fine. Selecting the Selphy printer (Vs Samsung printer) is not the answer - there is no problem 'selecting' the Selphy photo printer, just that nothing happens.

Power/USB cable etc also not the answer, as connect/disconnect from iMac shows the printer as being connected appropriately.

OS X V10.7 Lion :: HP CM1312nfi Printer - Scan Not Working & Printer Pausing?
I have an iMac 27" (intel 3.4 GHz, Intel core i7, and 16 GB memroy) purchased a few months ago. It is running the latest version of Lion 10.7.4 I run this computer on our network along with a iMac 24" 3.5years old and a Macbook Pro 2.5year old.

This computer seems to have a beef with the Hewlett-Packard printer (HP colour laser jet CM1312nfi MFP) which I have had for about 3 years. I can not get the new computer to work with the printer properly. It allows printing but it pauses all the time when you resume the print it starts printing from the begining of the document againIt will pause any prints sent to it across the network after the first 1 or 2 pages are printedIt won't allow scanning at allWhen you launch the scanner it takes forever to connect (3 - 4 mins)If you try to scan using any of the scan options (if it loads the devise) it then states it can not connect to the device, or all the scan buttons apear but greyed out. This is odd as it will still allow printing??

Also, all the other PC's have the same version of Lion 10.7.4 and have the latest HP Driver installed (these were released on the 14 Dec 2011). Other useful infoThe scanner is hard wired to the 27" machineYou can only use the printer if one scanner is hard wired as it does not have wirless capacity.I have uninstalled and installed the software more times than i can count trying all different trouble shooting etcI can only conclued that there is somthing the 27" machine is doing to prevent the scnanner registering properlyNone of the other computers can use the scanner correctly either. As you can only scan a page at a time using the "Scan" button. If I wish to scan multiple pages on with either of the other computers I need to use the "scan to folder" button.

OS X Leopard :: DLINK 2160 Printer Server - Adding Printer - Driver
I recently purchased a Dlink 2160 print server. The print server I am able to manage via LAN and via its web management. The print server can support up to 4 usb enabled printers. So when adding a printer, just input the IP address and the port number. Using my MBP, I am able to see the server, however, adding the desired printer attached to it requires a driver. I selected "Auto Select" and it selected the "post script". The same printer was previously installed locally.. so i wanted to locate the driver myself but could not find it..

Well all i need is simply locate the driver... i am not familiar with the IP printer protocol to be used since the printers are behind the print server. does anyone out there uses this print server?

Snow Leopard :: Advanced Printer Settings Missing On Shared Printer
since upgrading to mac os 10.6, i can no longer see the advanced settings on my shared printer. i can see them on the computer the printer is connected to, but now not on the mac it is sharing with. so i can't change things like quality and paper type which is very annoying.the only reason i can think of this happening is that the computer the printer is connected to is a mac pro (64 bit), and the one accessing via sharing is a macbook pro (32bit). so after doing some looking around, i think it's something to do with the 32 bit macbook pro not being compatible with some of the 64bit mac pro's sharing program. does anyone know what application deals with printer sharing i could change to 32bit on the mac pro to see if this is the problem.
