Applications :: When Go To A Website That I Need To Login To, 1password Never Works
Jul 24, 2010
i am having trouble using 1password and firefox.everytime i go to a website that i need to login to, 1password never works.but if i go to the same site with safari, im automatically logged in.
a license for 1password, but not for the vers. 3.x, since I received my license from the macheist bundle some years back. Do anyone of you know where I can download older versions of the application?
I find 1Password to be amazing, but my one complaint is that it doesn't seem easy to make logins for anything other than a web password. What about for my wireless password? To my school education account? My OS X password? Skype? AIM? MSN? Can anyone explain how to do this? I know I could just leave the website field blank, but that seems like a pitiful work around.
Just thought I would post this article from when the Safari 4 beta came out and would not work with 1Password. I just did the same thing with the final release of Safari 4 that came out today and it worked just fine. The only thing different is you need to change the value to 5530.17 instead of 5528.16.

Im sure 1Password will fix it in the next day or two, but for those of you who cant wait this will work.
I've been trying to buy it since yesterday but the 1password site,[URL]seems to be down for me.Can anyone else access it, or is the site having problems? (One would hope they're not security problems )
If your 1Passwords stops working you need to modify the SupportedBrowsers.plist File. This allows 1Password to work with this developer preview version of Safari. This file is located within 1Password App itself so you need to do the following: Right click 1Password and "Show Application Contents" Go to: Contents -> Resources -> SupportedBrowsers.plist Open this file with TextEdit and copy and paste the following(replace all the text in this file): OR Download the attached file and replace it with this version.
I was able to access this specific website for months using my mac - both on firefox and safari. Recently, it won't let me sign it. It just loads for 5 minutes or so then gives me a network timeout error. However, I am able to access the site on internet explorer using my PC.
I am logged in under a different (old name) because I was just using firefox, and it froze up on me. So, I restarted my computer and Firefox and Handbrake are missing from my dock. VLC is still here, as is the one other program I installed. Using Safari, my user name is now in red, and I can't log in. I just got my mac mini about 10 days ago.
My MB Pro has 1 user login, it's never been changed, re-created, etc.I can login to the laptop no problem, I can goto the User control panel and change the PW and it shows the single user as the admin. However I can't install software. It comes up and asks me for the password which is then rejected.Beyond reloading the OS not sure what options are. Did a permissions repair but no other luck.
The 1password keychain is encrypted, but if I open the keychain file so I can use 1password or to look up info on my keychain on an open unsecure WiFi, could other people see my passwords and secure notes?
I believe read Dropbox stores all files encrypted, but that MobileMe does not encrypt them. Is that correct? But since the 1password keychain is already encrypted it's not necessary to have it stored encrypted like on Dropbox??
I use 1password and it requires me to put in my password every time. It gives me the option to remember the PW in the keychain, but when I select that it gives me a serious sounding warning that basically says it is not safe to do it the keychain is not properly secured which by default it is not. How do I secure it so I can safely save my 1password PW?
Soon after reinstalling Snow Leopard (10.6.8) on my Macbook after a crash, I noticed that my iPhone calendars and contacts were no longer syncing with my mac. After a few days, iTunes would not even recognize my iPhone when I plugged it in. I followed a couple of apple troubleshooting documents and things got worse, to the point where a newly installed iTunes would not start up.In the crash report, I noticed that iTunes was trying to load the 1Password Input Manager, a file left over from an old version of 1Password. Running the 1Password uninstaller, downloaded from their site, and reinstalling 1Password fixed all the above problems.Â
I use a program called 1Password (which is pretty much the freakin' coolest application out there, other than Quicksilver). Click here for more info about this app...For the longest time now, I have been dying to get the developers of 1Password to integrate their program with Quicksilver so that I could use QS to launch any of my saved 'web form' entries (which are basically 1Password database entires that store a URL, and your corresponding username/password for that for that URL - and when a web form is launched via the programs 'Go-and-fill' command, the application will open the specified website in your browser and will automatically log you in, without the need for any user intervention whatsoever).
I'm running Lion 10.7.3 on my iMac and Macbook Air. I upgrade 1Password to the latest build (3.8.16) on my iMac last week but didn't use safari on it until yesterday when I noticed that Safari just opens blank with a spinning beachball? Not a major problem as I've been using my Air..... but just now when I also upgrade 1Password on the Air, Safari stops working and same issue. Firefox works fine.
I just installed a Seagate 500gb, 7200rpm hard drive in my 13" MBP that was updated to EFI Firmware Update 1.7. Clean install of OS X and iLife '09 & iWork '09 went fast. It's quite and fast compared to my old Samsung 500gb, 5400rpm hard drive. It was worth the $120 I spent on it!
Like two months ago, my MBP started to work really slow when not plugged to electricity, but as soon as I plug it in, my MBP works perfectly. I already sent it to apple for they to fix it, but they solved other issued except for that one. Please, any idea what could it be.
As you know IE is gone. Is there anything I can do to open this site with out using IE. I tried Safari, Mozilla... http://www.mlsstratus.com/ Also when I had IE for OSX it didn't work the way it should. What other choices do I have besides using a PC?
Is it possible to run 2 websites or more now with iWeb 09? I could not figure it out in 08 but I thought I read that you can in 09. This is using one MobileMe account btw.
I would like to know what applications you guys use to build websites. There are tons out there and I would like to hear which one's you guys like and use. I am gonna start building a website for a friend of mine, shes a Realtor so the site would be about that. The application would be for Mac OS X.
Just a few minutes ago, I pulled up iWeb to work on my band's website, only to find that it's nearly all gone. Only one page of the site remains, and everything else just shows a blank screen. When I try and publish it to a folder, it gives me "Publishing error, an unknown error occured." I simply can't have this happen. This website has taken me over a year to create, and now it's trashed. Where does iWeb store the website? Is there some way I can get it back? I've tried everything, but have had no luck.
I have a 4.1 Macbook, and in Safari developer 4 or Firefox 3, I can't open the website. I am connected through an ethernet cable, and it previously worked. It either doesn't load or it forwards me to "cjb.net." It doesn't work in Parallels Mozilla or IE either on ethernet. But in bootcamp, it works. The site also works on my Mac side when I'm connected through airport wireless. Why doesn't it work in ethernet only on the Mac side?
I am at a loss with Google. What I want to know is how do I open a webpage using Terminal? I am doing a lot with Terminal at the moment and was wondering if it is possible. A Ubuntu forums website listed the command as: Insert browser of choice here "URL". I have tried this and I simply get the message: bash: safari: command not found. Am I missing a command before the browser?
I have 3 websites that I wish to backup... most are just a few hundred MB - but have MySQL - and have been hunting around... Looking at SpiderOak and Mozy - but would like something a little less pricey or "free" if possible? Also, I'm a mac n00b - so - a decent GUI would be nice...
My host went belly up over xmas - and lost allot of data... hence the search... can't count on anyone these days
PS: Carbon and SuperDuper are cloners - not backup apps (subtle differences).... and I need something more NAS traditional - to get "changed" files and such....
Did a search, nothing, I want to rip a flash video off this website: [URL]. I have NO idea how to do it. I have FF and Safari, I don't care which one I use for this.
