Applications :: Using OoVoo With ISight - No Video?

I'm trying to use ooVoo video conferencing software on my Mac to do three way video chat with a couple of friends that are using Windows. I've got it installed fine, but for some reason it's not recognizing iSight (built in on a Macbook), no matter what I do. It recognizes the built in mic, but no video at all.

I have a Macbook and it comes with Photo Booth which is kinda cool. But I was wondering if there is any freeware software that lets you utilize your built-in iSight as a video recorder?

ISight :: Won't Work With Builtin ISight Vs External ISight
I have a late 2008 MacBook Pro with the built-in iSight camera. But also recently found an external iSight camera at an auction website that I might want to buy. How do the quality of the cameras compare? Also with two cameras attached, am I able to switch between the two while using quick capture in iMovie 09 without stopping the recording?

ISight :: Give ISight Priority Over LED Cinema Display ISight?
I have a new MacBook purchased in January 2010, which I hook up to a new Apple LED Cinema Display purchased a couple of weeks ago. Both the MacBook and display have iSight cameras built in. I seem to be able to have both cameras working independently of each other within iChat and Photo Booth, but when I try and use a webcam on a website chatroom, no matter what I try, the camera in the display takes priority over the MacBook. I want the display camera to be disabled, and for the MacBook camera to work instead. I have tried setting up the displays both as mirrored and extended, and tried moving the menu bar from display to MacBook and vice versa, but as soon as I enter a chatroom, the display camera is used.

I have tried altering the Flash settings in the chatrooms, but because both cameras are integrated and so have the same input settings, that doesn't work. I have a feeling I am trying to achieve the impossible.

OS X :: Using ISight To Stream Video?
I am not a huge fan of reality TV, but recently tuned in to an episode of Gene Simmons Family Values only to she Gene's daughter log on to a computer to view a streaming video from her Apple Notebook to see who was taking items from their kitchen.

I would love to be able to set up my Apple to view what in the world my bird, a large Macaw, is doing throughout the day to get nuts and seed some 10 feet or so from her cage. She is a great bird and doesnt scream or bite, but she is a trip and loves to joke around.

ISight :: Audio And Video Is Out Of Sync?
when I record audio and video together with my isight built in camera on my macbook pro with either quicktime pro, photobooth or imovie, when I play the clip back the audio and video is out of sync! like watching a kung foo movie. I've tried everything, I've taken my book into see a "Genius" at thew mac store and he said to me that the isight is made really for video conferencing and is really not supposed to be fully in sync? Uhh thats weird, so mac makes a product and puts it on all their laptops and it only sort of works?? I've been on the phone with apple care, did a bunch of things like disk utility repairs on permisions, then used the startup disk to do another permisions repair. I've uninstalled quicktime pro and re-installed it a couple of times?

ISight :: Has External FW ISight Killed Internal ISight
I have a 2.16ghz MacbookPro, 2gb ram, OS10.6.3. I have been using the built in iSight regularly since i got the laptop four years ago....Recently i attached my old external Firewire iSight to try some stopframe animation software. Everything worked fine, the camera worked in various applications, again with no problems.

I have now tried to use the built in iSight but the laptop is not seeing it. (The external has been removed). I have tried all the suggestions mentioned on the forum - reset SMC/PMU, repair permission, new account, safe boot. It is not being recognised by system profiler, and no application is seeing the camera. iChat, Skype, PhotoBooth all say no camera is connected.

Has anyone else heard of a built in iSight being killed by its older external sibling?

recorded a video from a 24" LED Apple display using the built-in ISight video camera and then import that into FC?What I did seems to work, but the sequence has to be rendered. Here's what I did. Record video from Isight. The QT properties of this video are h.264, 640x480 14.15 FPS (Never saw this before)Converted that file in compressor to Pro Res 422. The next steps are the ones I'm unsure of, which is the sequence settings. In sequence settings I set the frame size to 640x480, Pixel Aspect to NTSC, field Dom to upper.

IChat AV 3 :: Sound In Video Chat Using External ISight Stops
I've been having sound problems in video chats. I start a video chat with no problem, but if I stop and then start a new video chat, or use the effects or something of that nature, the sound will no longer work. Turning the camera off and then back on does not solve the problem, nor does quitting iChat and starting up again. And not even restarting the computer. Sometimes the sound doesn't even work from the beginning of a chat. But usually the first time I use iChat in a day, the sound will work for a while. I've tried all the different preference settings, volume settings, repaired permissions, etc. to no avail. The video is fine, and I can hear the other person, but my microphone won't work.

ISight :: Best Webcast Service To Stream Live Audio / Video?
Can anyone here recommend a good, inexpensive, webinar/webcast service? The goal is to stream live video/audio over the internet so that anyone with the right URL can watch and listen. Total time of use will probably be less than 3 hours. I'm not talking about the viewer being able to see a desktop presentation. I'm talking about the viewer being able to see and hear a keynote speaker and other speeches through the internet.

On my end I have a G4 Macbook with insight camera running OS 10.5.8 ( I also have a firewire connection that can be connected to a sony camcorder with an external USB mic as a possibility.) I want to be able to post a url on my website, days in advance of the event, so that about 100 people have the chance to connect and view the event if they have a broadband connection.

ISight :: ISight In LED Cinema Display Doesn't Work
I have a MacBook Pro with a LED Cinema Display hooked to it. When using Skype, the Preferences list shows the two iSight cameras that I have -- one built in the MacBook and one in the display. If I set the skype preference to the built in isight, it works normally (green light lights up) and the other Skype person sees my video. However, when I try to use the Display iSight, it shows the green light (like the camera is working), but the other person only sees a black screen. I also see only the black screen for my video. I feel that the iSight camera has gone bad in the Display as it used to work. Is there anything else I should check to be sure before taking my display in for repair? The system profiler shows both iSight cameras available, and the micro and USB plugs on the Display work (indicating that the USB is functioning). And no my finger is not over the lens of the camera.
